  1. If anything their users will skyrocket
  2. Agree. Salem, Fritsch or Milkman in no particular order. If Bennell can somehow get back on the park he will be in the conversation too. His kicking is so effortless and it glides through the air.
  3. Tonight I watched the NBL final where Syd Kings beat Perth Wildcats in Perth. There was no audience (usually a gigantic home crowd) and it totally rattled Perth. They had no energy, no spark and nothing to help switch them into gear. I know it’s the NBL and nothing to hang your hat on, but the more I think about it the more I’m becoming quietly confident we can beat the Eagles here if it goes ahead.
  4. I’d love to see the entire coaching staff + bench on their feet supporting along the boundary being extremely vocal. Need to keep ourselves pumped to beat these guys.
  5. I live in Perth. I will just go around coughing into my hand to send them home. Whatever it takes to get us the W.
  6. Eagles thrive off the crowd (particularly guys like Ryan, Cripps, Nic Nat and JK) and with no noise I just pray that they're a little bit off their game and we can take full advantage of the situation.
  7. Going to be a bizarre spectacle. Great opportunity to get a win here with no crowd influence. Have to be super focused.
  8. Gawn. On and off the field. Seems like players stand taller when playing with him, not to mention when he floats across packs and takes crucial intercept marks. If he hits the scoreboard more this year he'll go next level. I think Oliver is our second most important. He's in everything. Also might have the quickest hands in the game. If only he kicked more...
  9. I really rate Hore - super courageous and from memory he didn't make too many mistakes exiting out of the backline. Haven't really heard much about him all pre-season. Spots are tight down back but it seems Lockhart/Harmes is favoured to take his spot.
  10. 100% I don't think Jackson has shown enough to warrant a round 1 debut - if he dominate pre-season then perhaps, but at this stage he still has a bit of work to do, not to mention add size to his frame.
  11. Please don’t give me nightmares. Thanks.
  12. Just can't see him leaving GWS - they'll finish top 4 and he could win Coleman again. Ah well rather him stay there then go to the Saints, Essendon or some other wasted club.
  13. B: Jetta May Lever HB: Hibberd Omac Salem C : Langdon Viney Tomlinson HF: Melksham Wiedeman Jones FF: Spargo T Mac, Fritsch R: Gawn Oliver Petracca I/C:: Brayshaw Pickett Harmes ANB If Salem doesn't get up I'd bring in Lockhart and shift Harmes to HBF. One thing I really want to see in this game is for us to be physical. Across every area of the game. Eagles Backs (Gov + Barrass) have had interrupted pre-seasons NicNat is still building to full health, but I think Max has better endurance than him. Max will need to stop him from doing those freaky things which lifts not only his team, but the whole OS crowd And their forward line of JK (elbow) and Darling (cheek) aren't at full health either. Nothing dirty of course but a few big tackles and bumps could shake them up. I'm confident we can beat them. I know pre-season you can't read much into form, but they've been dead average. They were inconsistent last year and the loss of Willie Rioli is big. I'm quietly confident and excited if anything.
  14. This list is average other than Jeremy Cameron. Cameron would be a gigantic get, but there's no chance. He'll stay at GWS.
  15. https://www.afl.com.au/news/384822 JK to wear an elbow brace
  16. Speed and class. We need to recuit polish going i50. What’s Free Agency looking like end of year?
  17. Would be great Ideally would love to see LJ play second ruck become that roving type ruck and drift forward. My only concern is that we need to develop him in 1-2 positions. Although he can do a lot and can play in any position I’d much rather him be a specialist in 2 areas than test him in 4.
  18. I agree, I think LJ will sky rocket past Weid in terms of mobility and impact long-term. I think Weid just needs more time. In the here and now, LJ just isn't ready and I'd hate to see him get destroyed by the Nic Nat and Hickey. Even if we played LJ forward, Eagles defence is damn good and I wouldn't have much confidence in his game over there. Weid is in front of LJ at this stage (by a fraction) but if his form is off in a month then I'm happy to have LJ replace him
  19. Meh A great link player and a good wingman (I won't discredit his AA's) But he's not a game changer and I don't think I've seen him kick over 45m before I don't think he was ever going to leave too
  20. If he doesn't show some signs of improving this then it's a concern. He doesn't need to take huge pack marks but he needs to impose himself on games. Big tackles, smothers, blocks, 1%ers Should try to model his game off Aaron Naughton or Membrey.
  21. Weid was actually pretty solid against Adelaide and in the Hawks game he did his ankle. I also think Weid needs more time purely playing forward. If he can play 80% forward this year then we'll know if he can cut it. He's 22 and even his body shape is still somewhat growing. Doesn't need to dominate every game but needs to be consistently contributing.
  22. I have to disagree Nic Nat is a force (love to play at Optus too) and Hickey is no scrub. What is the rush to play LJ? He'll find his feet and no doubt will debut this year. The club just needs to do this at the right time and when we've had a few wins to ensure he has confidence in himself and the team. Would play Weid and really challenge him to show some grunt and compete in everything. I think he knows he is under a bit of pressure which is good and we all want him to come on so a good showing vs a great defence in the Eagles would go a long way.
  23. He's great and a long-term prospect Why play him round 1 against Nic Nat/Hickey and on OS? He would get crushed by both I'm afraid He's a talent no doubt but bring him in when he's ready and when the team has won a few games and there is more team confidence. Would hate to see him debut, we get pumped by the Eagles and he loses some confidence in himself.
  24. True We need our mids to hit the scoreboard more - Trac (should), Brayshaw (can but not often enough) Viney (rarely) and Oliver (could easily if he kicked the ball more) and Langdon/Tomlinson can kick 2 between them that'd be a bonus. Richmond/GWS have so many mids who can kick goals and that's something we lack.
  25. It seems like it's only a matter of time...
