We don't have to literally build the list every year. I want to but I'm also thinking long-term and I'd rather hold out a year then rush someone in. We can still build the list by backing players in and cutting the dead wood. yes we all want types but they are either snapped up early or don't grow into that role until year 5/6.

i'm fortunate enough to be in the position to donate - I don't say this to brag but in that I feel for many of those who aren't. It sucks what some have been through reading this. Footy clubs (from local all the way up) are built on community and this is a strong community here. I'm happy to donate but like most before me, I just want to see consistent improvement. Improvement compounds and what better way then to get a win on the 'G against the cats today. We still have a long way to go as a club and I think we are making the right decisions in terms of picking up players. It's more the culture that worries me. I'm not in the witch hunt for Goodwin, but I also think we need to surround him with a bit more and look at perhaps getting some really smart people in his circle. No criticism of Plapp, Egan, Rooke and Richardson - but I've yet to hear anything from them that I really secures faith (I also don't know how intelligent that are and perhaps that's just ignorant of me) I've been a fan since I was 6 and will always support this stressful, psychologically damaging team. Hope everyone can chip in when they can and this team can give us a bit of joy this year and in the future

kent and frost aren't long-term players wish them the best but they won't be consistent enough over a long period

To be honest there's not much out there and I'd rather save our coin for someone who earns it. If Weed leaves this year without playing at least 8 games it'll be a shame, have to give him a few more cracks at it

Not enough upside - could see him go in and out of the team I just don't get why we don't play Weed or Jacko deep and get games into them

I wouldn't want us to pay big coin for him - that might be where the deal will fall through. Bennell couldn't get onto the park for 4 years? Still took a risk I just don't see why we wouldn't throw our hand up and express interest

I've tipped us. On paper they look very good, but I think if Gawn can get on top we should be able to control the game. My biggest worry is who is going to kick goals? Would love Tmac to kick a few, he needs some confidence badly

I think Weed should be playing and not sure why he isn't - showed signs early and although he had a down year last year so did 3/4 of the side Fwds take time and I think our coaches are being pretty impatient with him. I must admit it was foolish of whoever came out and said he is worth $650k a year as it might of got to his head/a target on him/internal pressure But I want to see him back in the side, fwds are a commodity and we don't have too many rn

what about Schache from Dogs? Isn't getting a game at the moment and if he added some size he could be handy

I think we just have to put work into Jacko, get him some size and play him forward for 90% of his youth.
