Correct. JVR is another who has said he hates it in the ruck which is fair but he really really needs to step up and prove to us that he is too good to be taken out of that forward line. Once he starts holding them marks our forward line will change dramatically and actually give us time to set up defensively if he misses instead of the constant quick transition from other teams.

And that’s the problem… we need more midfielders that know how to get the ball and also know how to receive a ball and do something with it. Need midfielders who are capable of playing forward also. Viney, Trac and Oliver know how to get the ball…. But they do nothing with it. 2021 different story but that’s in the past now.

I don’t know about anyone else but I actually love this approach. Goodwin spent years playing players purely for the fact he loved them. Was afraid to hurt their feelings or they’d ’want out’ Kings comes in and said I can’t guarantee you midfield time to both Clarry and Trac which we’ve all said we needed change in BUT if this doesn’t suit your needs then please, help yourself to looking at other clubs and if you find that you can work with us in this new version of us trying new things then you’re more than welcome to stay. The players have no say anymore and if ANY player isn’t happy with playing multiple roles then it won’t work at our club. Danger plays forward AND midfield Holmes also plays midfield AND half back Tom Atkins job is a super defensive midfielder/Tagger. They’re happy to switch the magnets and the players are happy to move around.

I can’t see any Adelaide best 23 player wanting to leave. Especially where they’re at/heading and to a club like ours. It would definitely bring some bad energy in that playing group as they look like a close unit atm.

Pretty much! I reckon with Trac going it could help in a sense he sees more midfield time with us also now. If Trac stayed then I could see him 100% picking the Saints. We are definitely back in the contention I reckon

Yep, definitely Trac who wanted out more than us wanting him out… but I think the club is just as over it as us supporters are.

One has apparently had a bit of a sook because he wants to play a certain position and nothing else and well Trac… we all know why. So I don’t care how good they are for us it means nothing when they’re not all in. If you’re not getting rid of bad attitudes at the club then you’re standing still.

I’m at the point where if we have to turn over half the list to get back to where we want to all go then so be it. The quicker the better imo. A new coach is the perfect time to stamp a new vision and a new attitude. If any of the players aren’t in or too ‘goodwinised’ ( 😉 ) and are to use to having a say then out the door please :)
