Weideman's Future?
We let go of Frost because we thought OMac would work better, but he isn't in the team. We let go of Hogan because we had Weid coming up, but he isn't in the team. WTF???

On the Couch - The Red Zone
Weid has to become a footballer. Now. He's old enough and big enough. Now or never. The rest of the team needs to kick the ball to the player in the best position. Bizarre that something so obvious needs to be recognized.

Weideman's Future?
So, the question is Where is Weid?

Through different eyes
We're emotional because we care. No need to argue about who cares how much or what is more important. Who was it that said sport is meaningless, but it's the most meaningful meaningless thing there is? Somebody, sometime, said something like that. Salem's lack of energy and attack in those dying minutes was illustrative. There was no movement ahead and he kicks to a 3 on 1 in the pocket. That's just plain bad football. That moment is when TMac and Trac should have been at the peak of assertion, up and at it like lions onto a kill, with the smalls buzzing about like jackals after scraps. But they weren't It looks to me that there is a psychological block there. Maybe, the loss in the prelim in 2018 made the group scared of winning, scared to put it all on the line, mindful that failure might result. That kind of thinking saps you.

Proud to Belong, Proud to Give
I'm a member and I can only get to two games every two years. So far my job is not in danger, though I have just received news of a looming "rationalization" of human resources. Given that so many others are struggling, I'm willing to give another $100 if it helps the team stay solvent, but for that I want to know that the players are giving their all. After all, that is only their job, so we have the right to ask that at any time, but now with so much going wrong in the world, time to lay it on the line. I did't see that today. What I saw today was [censored]-weak, incompetent football and no team that plays like that deserves success, let alone to exist on the largesse of supporters.

Tom McDonald - How long do we wait?
Jeremy has not re-signed with the Giants yet. I'd put a bit of money on MFC spending big to return him South. We need a big key forward and big key forwards need to be needed.

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I'm with you. TMac has a huge tank that should be exploited as long as he's playing as a forward. Jackson or Weid have to make the FF possie their own. In fact, long term, why not Egg and Weid forward, and TMac, Lever and May as the talls in the backline?

Kennett's Letter to Hawks Members
Yeah, I can't see them giving up on them, either. Too much pride. But I'm sure they wouldn't mind too much if a couple of Vic teams were left behind/merged/moved.

Got a link? Also, is Lewy still kicking coach?

Kennett's Letter to Hawks Members
I get the sense that, in private, many AFL power brokers have decided that the latest expansion was a mistake and they would welcome a two team reduction.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Well, I was trying to emphasise why, perhaps, Harley is a cut above as a sportsman. One of the major takeaways from The Last Dance was the seriousness of MJ. Winning was everything to him, and I sense that Harley has something of the same quality. Not everybody does.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
The way he spoke in his interview, there’s a seriousness there that not a lot of our team has.

Training Ground?
Damn right. If there's one thing I've learned from isolation it's that my needs are much smaller than I used to think. My family is closer, I'm getting more work done, I'm less stressed, I'm spending less and saving more, I'm healthier... The other day I ventured outside and gazed fascinated at my car, wondering why I needed that expensive but largely useless transport device. I guess I have come to the conclusion that this life is better.

Training Ground?
Exactly. Using a good old gem of Australian folklore to say something you're not allowed to say.

Training Ground?
In the AGM, GB said while he couldn't to make an announcement, he could say this, "There's movement at the station." Something tied to the Richmond station redevelopment.

Training Ground?
Uninterrupted runs of economic growth are overrated. If we all had less stuff cluttering up our spare space, we wouldn't be worse off....
