  1. I hope you went, CV free, Ernie.
  2. There is no way they would have motored across to shark alley on the island, in a 10 foot Ally' boat. They must have gone fishing for squid and whiting, between Flinders and Shoreham. I don't like their chances, if they've been carried out into Bass Straight. Its been treacherously cold over the weekend.
  3. We need to find a true old fashioned centre man, who has class, and is tough. Maybe we leave Harmes at half back for a time, and try playing Salem in the pivot.? We need to turn out a Simon Black or Bartel type, or a Lappin. We don't have any of that class, as yet apparent.
  4. Corporates in boxes only. Participating clubs to fill the seats around the ground, for the G/F. The two clubs playing off, and, as in times past, when we had reserves teams, they would also have their members seated. So any early games, would have some allocated ticketed seats. 80% of the seated patrons should be members &/or supporters of the teams playing off. 15% should be 'on-the-day' gate ticket sales to other clubs supporters, on a first come, first served tickets basis. 5% should be for the pre-game and half-time entertainers... and for people like disabled, underprivileged, etc... Cut out the ticket giveaways to special attendees; Via business handouts. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This way, IF some clubs were hogging Grand Final days; the patrons who are unable to get to any Grand-Finals, because their clubs aren't strong enough; those patrons would cause the AFL to make a fair and equal AFL competition, which doesn't favour any club. Re the Draw, Financing arrangements, etc. This would slowly restore balance to the competition, amidst the passing era of money and privilege. .
  5. IF corporates have their Boxes, and participator clubs AFL, and if there were a 2nds comp.. those clubs have the seating for their members. Then, IF some clubs were hogging Grand Final days; the patrons unable to get to any Grand Finals because their clubs are too weak, those patrons would cause the AFL to make a fair and equal AFL competition, which does not favour any club. This would restore balance to the competition, amidst the passing era of money and privilege.
  6. Vale` Tony Anderson.
  7. Careful, 'ds'... Is she frothing at the mouth, Yet.? You may want to reconsider.? ?
  8. An underrated and smart footballer, who was unfashionable.
  9. Flying blind, maybe Jack. But this could suit our draft position, after last seasons 'wheelin' and dealing'. After a quick look through the articles, and bit of a read, a young player drew my attention. Archie Perkins.. I reckon we are at the point in list: to look to add some class forward: with some speed, smarts with some urgency. At 185cms and 87kgs, he could be just the replacement type for Hannan, who I think is just about on his last Legs. What do you think of him Jack.? any info.?
  10. agree.. All the retro negative [censored] from years back, is doin' my Head in.!
  11. Yes. One of my Fav's, of that time. Sadly, struck down with a back, IIRC.? An excellent player, thought.
  12. They were probably arguing with a mirror. Wham! Bam! Pow!
  13. Playing with us they were. Trying to get ratings up for F classified. eMc-Chin has taken over. He doesn't want another show to fold, whilst under his Banner. err, Nose.
  14. And others found new teams. Moonface is these days a Dee, I believe. Maybe the smarter half, is also a Dee.??? I think a merger of Roos and Suns makes more sense. Why send a perennially struggling club, with a predominantly Sky Blue jumper south into the cold winters. Norths jumper would look fantastic up on the Gold-Coast in their warm Winters. Emblazon a Golden Sun somewhere on the front of the jumper. Start a new team in Tassie when the time is right, with warm colours on the jumper. Playing out of Hobart and Devonport. With fewer away games for this team. Devonport would cater to the whole Northern half of Tassie. Launceston does not do this. Launceston was an each way bet, that cannot work in the longer run. #edit: Does anyone actually like the gcSuns Orange jumper, at all.? Imagine if one day the Suns were playing in a Final against the Giants. A major clash of colours; just too similar.
  15. I'd like to ask you, Is 'What is real', real, anyway.?
  16. I reckon the Filth owe us, going on this. ^^
  17. Here, Here, 'Dk72'. ?

  20. And why show our true hand, when we were foldin.? the Comp shut down. ' No advantage in showing any of our footy IT to other clubs, on TV, when there was in reality no points on offer in a non-competition. And the last thing the players would want out of a non-game, is to be badly injured.

  23. Send 'North', North to Surfers. Their Blue and White jumper works much better, in sunny warm climate days. Tasmania needs to be wearing warm colours for match-days, to suit their cold climate.
