  1. That’s all correct but next year Gawn and May will be a year older, other competitors will have improved so we have to add talent to the list. From reports it’s a weak, compromised draft and our first pick is in the 20’s. We simply have to add players with elite disposal. So we’re likely to need to trade one or more players. For mine Rivers and Sparrow are the ones. Of course I’d only ever trade them if it improved our team. Of course I want to keep them but we need clean ball users. Imagine if Petracca and Oliver had better disposal, yesterday would be a 4-5 goal win. That’s what we need to be aiming for.
  2. How do we get 2 really good ball users to the club for next season? That’s all this team needs to reset. Simmena? Bergman? Draft pick? I’d love Jackson but how to get it all. Tradeables: some think Oliver (I’m not sure unless the return was high enough) Then there’s guys like Rivers, Sparrow, McVee? Would you can use them to swap for a better ball user? We ain’t getting them for free and it’s what we need. Some brave decisions needed.
  3. Who replaces Petty that seriously makes us better? My answer is no one so he needs to stay where he is.
  4. Thought lever was really sound, wouldn’t be leaving him out.
  5. Yes you can, no one should have a job that demands you regularly put yourself in the frame for a serious concussion. The game has enough chance of serious injury without adding stupidity to the mix.
  6. Your reports have convinced me we’re headed into a rich vein of form.
  7. We need to go 14 straight from here to win the flag.
  8. If they’re not going to do anything to improve the standard of umpiring I’d be considering any decision that leads to a shot on goal gets a 20 second review in the box. If the free wasn’t there then ball it up.
  9. I thought the business case was due to be released. I’m anxious to keep the ball rolling.
  10. Am I correct in believing we should be hearing something this month?
  11. It’s one of the most nothing incidents I’ve seen the media harp on about. Doesn’t matter if May said “you fffing moron, you always kick to me in those situations” It’s 2 blokes who are deeply frustrated at what just occurred, not only today but this season. We had them, we absolutely had them. I was filthy and I was just watching.
  12. JVR can cover the ruck, Jeffo can’t. It’s pretty simple.
  13. It’s a much overdo change. Full respect for the players who now don’t back blindly into oncoming but also for the guys who when oncoming don’t clean up those backing in unprotected. The games better for it.
  14. It also buys into the possibility that we’re setting up further back to allow our F50 to clear before we re enter. I thought we were great defensively yesterday. I’d love a few of those moments again, we all know the ones.
  15. I’d come out swinging after smoko!
  16. Probably rest one of Langford or Lindsay and bring in Laurie for a 4 quarter game. I think Viney should wait till after the bye and Jefferson needs to keep doing what he’s doing at Casey. I’d like to see Howes stay in as he was more than solid. Adam’s and Culley are the other 2 I’d like to see get some games. Play like that every week and we’re a top 4 team. My worry now becomes can the players keep doing that now that finals are so unlikely. One more loss could see us just drop our heads enough to lose more than we win. Disappointing season considering just how well we can play and how with just a few tweaks we’re Premiership material. Yesterday: reminded me of those days you’d bang your rolled up record on to the back of the wooden bench seat in front of you. Had about a dozen of those moments yesterday.
  17. That one hurt. Fritsch playing on needlessly twice hurt, a couple of should haves that missed hurt. Today was painful. Season over and the players knew it. I'm expecting a fairly tiresome end to a disappointing season.
  18. Viney can wait till post bye. It’s time to play the kids, go for the kicks and not worry about results It’s all about 2026
  19. It’s time a few coaches spoke openly about the standard of umpiring. It’s embarrassing and ruins games. I rarely account for umpiring and still believe we lost that game with a handful of bad decisions but geez they were awful today.
  20. His coaching today was excellent. We lacked the polish and composure, that’s why we lost, that and the umpires. I’d say MaCrae, everyone’s darling was outcoached today.
  21. In other news I lost my second partner that I won against Brissie. Kind of relieved.
  22. They have to as do the media. The AFL control the narrative
  23. Just a little bit of composure. The 50 to Daicos, the rushed kick by Oliver, I can’t go on because today hurt.
