  1. No idea why he would post a photo of himself on social media like that. Under the influence or drugs or not it was very dumb. Personally I don't care what footballers get up in their private lives but if you make it public then you should suffer the consequences And the mental health angle is bogus. He's using drugs recreationally to have a good time. Same as getting boozed up on a night out
  2. Looks like Freo have this. Cracking game
  3. Hawks bringing the heat
  4. cheers. saved me from rocking up to a deserted G tomorrow
  5. Will Collingwood be flat tomorrow?

    the silence is deafening
  7. Oscar Allen is a good player but no way is he anywhere close to a straight swap for Dogga Allen plays third tall after Kennedy and Darling. Dogga helped us crack open the game in the 3rd quarter of the granny. At age 20
  8. Stringer useless
  9. Dumb free kick Draper
  10. Shank of the year right there
  11. Looked ominous early for Essendon. I thought they would cave but they've rallied. Unfortunately
  12. It would be very funny to see Essendon belted on their 150th

One other important point which I’m not sure has been mentioned previously We live in the social media age. The kids live online. And consume sports online. The variety and options are unlimited. NBA, EPL, Indian PL cricket. You name it. It’s all there at the touch of a button. The brightest minds in Silicon Valley are focused on drawing our attention to this online world and keeping us there. It’s where the dollars are for advertisers. Sports are just a commodity to be monetised and marketed. That’s the world the AFL operates in and is competing in.
  14. Very well played Goody. Very measured, on point and didn't get sucked in. Kept it on our terms I sense the journos are starting to tire of this. There was no real bite in their questioning. I reckon thats the end of this episode now. Time to focus on the footy
  15. Love your sentiment @AC/DeeC We'll put in a big performance for sure. I don;t think we'll belt them but i reckon we'll win by 30 points or so Go Dees
  16. This is a good battle
  17. Just tuned in to watch the game now Looking forward to hearing Caro's take on the crowd size
  18. You're going to give away an AA defender to one of our rivals for nothing? Some of the takes in this thread are beyond ridiculous

    It’s a replacement game
  20. The club’s response was fine. Let’s not start self flagellating. Max spoke candidly yesterday and addressed the issue adequately. Talk of afl investigations is fugazi. Just optics and [censored] covering from HQ time to move on and turn our attention to the game on Monday
  21. Hope Petty is right to go. Even without May and Tmac that team is still good enough to win.
  22. every cloud has a silver lining
  23. We're not that club anymore. We proved it beyond any doubt last September I agree this could be the spark that ignites our season We’ve been off and apparently Goody has been concerned with complacency sinking in Having the blow torch on us this week will shake us out of our lethargy I expect a big performance against the pies and I expect to win And Steven May, who has behaved like a complete prat, will be one of our best players for the rest of the season
  24. Sounds like May has a sharp tongue when he's drinking We all have a mate who gets mouthy and boorish when drunk. They are not fun to be around. May needs to take a look at himself and how he behaves when he is on the grog. Otherwise he’ll be drinking alone when his career finishes
  25. I agree fisty cuffs in a Prahran restaurant is a bad idea. Optics are terrible but the same principal applies. as long as they have made up, genuinely, there shouldn't be an issue
