  1. Loose game and nothing like what we'll see in September
  2. pies look off. and i think no darcy moore means Joe is going to have a big night
  3. Didn’t see the Laurie selection but I’m all for it. Give him a go and see what happens rather than die wondering.
  4. Health and conditioning head has been sacked. And no doubt their recruitment has been poor. i think Simpson is a big part of the problem. for whatever reason the players are obviously not playing for him. Thats a death knell for any coach. the only reason he is still there is because of his contract. Too expensive to sack.
  5. Finish second and play either port or lions st the G best option. Pies next best option
  6. I would like to see the pies beat Lions (helps our top 2 aspirations) Suns beat Carlton and Crows knock over the Swans
  7. any chance of hearing about trade rumours on this thread?
  8. Their pressure was immense on sat night but I don’t think they can sustain it.
  9. Eagles fans to their credit keep rocking up
  10. West Coast aren't tanking. They're genuinely putrid. They're actually worse than we were which is some feat.
  11. I noticed the goal umps gave the benefit of the doubt on Sunday and soft called goals rather than touched. I think this is the way it should be
  12. Very good player in his day but like the rest of the WC list, has tailed off noticeably the last few years. Their attitude to conditioning left a lot to be desired. The whole club needs a clear out.
  13. at 3 quarter time i was sure we had the game on our terms and in the bag. I posted as much in the game day thread. We fell asleep for the first 5 mins of the 4th and just couldn't recover. Very costly lapse. their first goal was a catalogue of fumbles and mistakes from us. frustrating as hell but i agree with you. We're fitter than them. They've had to rescue their season and gone flat out for 2 months now. It'll catchup with them soon enough.
  14. We'll finish with a pick between 4-6. JT will find a very good player for us in that range i'm sure.
  15. I don't think so. September is almost upon us. we'll know soon enough whether our form is solid or just a mirage. Personally, I think we'll get to the big dance.
  16. hopefully nothing but we have a handy replacement if required.
  17. I thought they are supposed to be tanking?
  18. It's going to be a proper battle next week against these Hawks.
  19. Lobb fluffing his lines
  20. I wouldn't rely on the word of a defending player. not at all. the burden of proof should be on proving it was touched. if the goal umpire isn't sure then refer it to the reviewer as unsure. no need for a soft call. if the reviewer can't discern from the footage conclusively that it was touched then give the goal it's not perfect. it is possible that a player gets a feather touch that doesn't create a deviation in the flight of the ball. But i'd rather that than rubbing out goals where a goal umpire makes a guess like last night.
  21. For sure. Whoever wrote the book of revelations had consumed some magic mushrooms I reckon.
  22. Put the bible in his hand and ask him under oath.
  23. I went with a Carlton supporting mate. He didn’t rub it in. And I had no issues with the Carlton fans around me. Might be a different story at work tomorrow. My office is infested with blue baggers.
  24. Ordinarily I would agree but we don’t have many games left. If he shows something I say bring him in.
  25. Maradona definitely touched it.
