Huge game. Pies have been the benchmark but look tired recently. With their outs, form and talk of flu/virus in the camp I think they are there for the taking. We have outs of our own but we will show our premiership class today. We'll shut down their corridor game and squeeze the life of them. I believe we will win this game. As an added bonus would love to see someone lay out Mason Cox (legally of course). Dees by 20 points

We need a no 1 KPF to carry the load for a couple of years until jvr, and hopefully Jefferson, fully mature. Membrey is an honest toiler but doesn’t fit the bill.

Looking to sept going to be hard to succeed without either of bb or TMac. Jvr has been brilliant in his first season but is 19. Relying on him, petty with Maxy and Grundy chipping in won’t get it done. Hope im wrong. We badly need to pick up an experienced KPF in trade week. not many around though.

Good result for us. Longer term, Hawks have drafted well and looks like Mitchell is a good coach. They won't be cellar dwellers for long which is a pity cos i really dislike the Hawks and would love to see them languish for decade or more.

Hawks playing very well. doubt they can keep this going for 4 quarters. They have typically tired and fell away in the 3rd quarter of games against good teams this season.

The pies have been playing their high-octane game style for about 18 months or so now which is about how long the competition take to figure out how to combat it. They are also showing signs of tiredness (understandable given the demands of playing their style) and although winning games are not as convincing as they were. They remind me a little of us this time last year, winning games unconvincingly. As we know the wheels came off for us. I think the same will happen to the pies. I’m convinced we’re going to beat them on Monday.

I like long weekends except when i have to wait until Monday for a dees game.

Port are a decent outfit. Definitely in the mix. Butters and Rozee quality mids. JHR will be a beast.
