Know for an absolute fact he rates our list VERY highly. Gut feel is he could be gettable.

You can sometimes forgive a lack of planning, strategy, structure and even talent if you have the intensity and emotional investment from a team, but when you have absolutely none of those things it's more than just a slap in the face of supporters it's a genuine indictment on a club and a sign that things are deeply wrong.

9 years ago to the day we put in a gutless effort like this. Really, not a lot seems to have changed bar the fact we apparently have more 'talent'.

In the post-game last week a couple of the players made mention of what happened last year and that the players hadn't forgotten it.

Sparrow mentioned on 'Before The Bounce' he'll be playing a bit of midfield and a bit of half forward. That's his natural role I reckon so good signs there.

Got the impression in the post-game on Sunday that the boys remembered what happened last year against Port, so I'm excited to see all of May, Viney, Hannan, Kozzy and Sparrow in the team to bring some physical intensity.

Nowhere have I even implied this kind of thing. You strike me as the kind who gets 'jealous' that occasionally people hear things about the footy club. A glance through Demonland would tell you it's not a rarity for posters here to know people with club information given it's based in a town most of us live. Really don't understand why people get so upset about this scenario, isn't it why you come here in the first place? Yet if it's something you don't agree with then all of a sudden it can't possibly be true. You're welcome to have a look through things I've posted in this kind of vein to determine how reputable my information generally is, or you can just keep posting this kind of stuff if it makes you feel better. Agree we're getting there for sure, but carrying badly out of form players still costs us. Even top 4 teams make changes to try and improve, we're on a knife's edge just to make finals so not sure it's the time to sit back and think things will just work themselves out.

Yeah that's a fair enough point mate. Viney was back for finals though and we had Gus playing in the middle that year too as well as Jones a bit. Just think Goody is going to have to weigh up how he's using Gus and Harmes because both are struggling to contribute this year and we may lose one in the trade period due to it.

He tags when there's someone we need him to. We handled the rotations fine with him doing that in 2018 when we had the same amount of rotating midfielders.

I agree, but I think it's more an example of Goodwin's stubbornness as a coach. I believe he has the ability.

Perhaps the game time thing is simpler than we think. Maybe given the shorter game time currently the 'better' players are playing more of the game and the 'second tier' players aren't needed as much for the amount of rotations? Would explain why Harmes, who had a shocker on Sunday, had less game time and why we've been able to carry low game times for players like vandenBerg and Bennell. Perhaps the coaching staff identified the better players and those in form should play higher percentages, and those who are struggling for form or don't have peak fitness can fill some lower amounts.

The MRO statement also said it was a tackle on Berry, that was the 4th quarter one. I think maybe they just listed the wrong quarter.

Watched it multiple times mate. Seems pretty clear Fritsch put his head between the Lions players legs as he gets up and tries to use his momentum forward to cause more delay, sure the Lions player pushes him, but that's AFTER Fritsch instigated it. Incredibly dumb by him and an obvious 50. Labelled a 'smart Alec' who cost his team in the media already.

He wasn't 'pushed down'. He clearly puts his head down and pushes the Brisbane player to try and delay things. 50 every single day of the week, just over the top by Fritsch and a few media commentators have already called him out on it.

That's not really a like for like comparison time wise. You're judging one by the whistle and one by the 'give it back'. Judging both by the whistle they're pretty much identical, the difference being the Fritsch one is far more obvious.

Fritsch one was incredibly dumb, not only has he done that before this year, but why exactly was he wasting time when we needed to score to win? 100% a 50 every day of the week. If this was a 3rd loss in a row we'd be putting it on the players, but because they won a couple and we're all back on the bandwagon we're looking for excuses. We played terribly and were incredibly lucky to get so close. Move on.

Wonder if they'll consider dropping one of Harmes or Brayshaw and replacing them with TMac, then having him and Jackson rotate between wing and forward?
