  3. The Dees ruckman, who played his first game of the season last weekend, is expected to recover in time for the clash with the Western Bulldogs, but will be monitored throughout the next few days. Max Gawn is also set to face a fitness test in the lead up to Round 13, hoping to return from a knee injury. Round 13 Injury Update | Preuss leaves track early
  4. Where'd you hear that mate?
  5. Definitely annoyed. Possibly even annoyance awareness.
  6. What, me worry?
  7. "I think a change is required. Clearly the deterrent of fines is not stopping on-field punching in various forms and we want to stamp that out," he said. "It's unusual (to make rule changes mid-season), but we're going to. We don't want punching to continue. We're unequivocal about that and we'll make that really clear to the players and clubs. "We'll make a change that gives the MRP the right equipment in their classification to ensure sanctions are now matches compared to fines." AFL to suspend players for gut, jumper punches This was 3 years ago...
  8. "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
  9. I'd be keen to know who his footy heroes were as a youngster. Seems like a much more 'old school' bloke than his age would suggest.
  10. Totally agree with this, and his pressure rating has been very good since coming back too. Someone else raised the point when talking about Tomlinson that it's hard to tell how the off the ball work is going at either end given we can't be at the games, and I reckon that's relevant for TMac as well. Plus, as much as I love the big Preusster, can see him getting in the way a bit if played as a forward. Don't see him as much of an improvement speed & agility wise over the HMAS TMac either.
  11. How did the least controversial Melbourne Demons footballer of all time become so controversial...
  12. Guessing nothing less than a 60 goal season is acceptable from Petty then if that's how we're rolling with the maths...
  13. His Mum posted it on facebook.
  14. Direct quote from his folks: "One of his greatest attributes is his loyalty..... I reckon you’re stuck with us"
  15. Anecdotally, it looked like Viney and Petracca played some different roles more often. Also, Sparrow was in for a few centre bounces as well.
  16. He's carried that injury a long time. Have a look through the 2018 season, it flared up multiple times. Do you think it just magically went away or it's still bothering him and has possibly gotten worse? You could add on the knee injury last year potentially too. It's plainly obvious watching him move that he's hampered. Find it strange you think a player who's been a leader at the club has all of a sudden decided to develop bad habits (and still managed to be selected). "Agility is a huge problem"... You don't think maybe that's to do with the injury to his foot? He's rated elite for pressure acts this season, so I don't agree with you that he doesn't apply enough pressure.
  17. Reckon people are being a little harsh on him. He's clearly not right, guessing it's the toe/foot injury, but he's still managing to do fairly well with pressure acts which Goody would be enjoying from him in the context of his physical condition.
  18. 100%, could never question his commitment or toughness, they're the things I absolutely love him about him.
  19. Sometimes stats are useful as they take emotion and mateship out of the equation.
  20. Yes, I do reckon. He was previously rated as the single worst player in the AFL for inside 50 delivery. I didn't say he's now fantastic at it, but his delivery and decision making going forward has improved in a big way. Has been pointed out by multiple commentators this year too.
  21. 100%. Goody has done a great job there it seems. Plus, seeing players like Viney and Oliver going from rated as close to the worst for forward delivery to now hitting up targets makes me very excited about what we could potentially do.
  22. Fair enough mate, can absolutely see where you're coming from there. Turned out Hannan was sick and not dropped in the end anyway. I love vB's intensity and agro, so don't think I don't like him as a player, I'd just like him to tidy up those costly errors. Anyways, just rapt with the win, and probably equally as rapt with the delivery inside 50!
  23. Ok, so you rate his game tonight for his 50% efficiency and 0 tackles then?
  24. Was a standard vB game. Went hard at every contest, put his body on the line, had almost as many clangers and turnovers as he had disposals. Find it bizarre that people rate his game today because he accidentally knocked out a player.
