Did anyone else notice the blocking the Blues forwards were doing in their forward line? I thought that was illegal.

Right now I wouldn’t have the Dees making prelim let alone winning one. Of course that could change. Collingwood, Port, Lions are a lock. Spot 4 is up for grabs and I reckon Cats will make it given their home ground advantage.

I heard there was some tendon involved - so much bs in the media don’t know what to believe. With De Goey out maybe we just give him the extra 2 weeks to get cherry ripe.

If we persist with Petty up forward. You have to go May, Tommo , Lever. Lever looks so much more dangerous as the 3rd tall. Also Kozzy needs a kick up the backside. He is incredibly out of form and has very little impact on the game for such a good player. Had a weird matchup today and couldn’t really out manoeuvre his oversized opponent.

We were also very good when it hit the deck too. Clearly they are fixining one thing at a time.

Deep down we all know it too. i recall one kick into the corridor. Just one kick! And what happened? Mark, goal. 40 forward half turnovers for 1.4 is unacceptable We should have had 10-15 scoring shots alone. And set shots kicking! Wtf has happened here. 10-12 other teams would have beaten the Blues by 10 goals tonight. Harmes likely gone by MRO and I think Viney gets rubbed out too.

A few games like that this year.

Have a bad feeling. Blues have a sniff and will come out with everything. We haven’t shown any composure all game and am doubtful it’s going to start now. We need 2 quick goals to ice the game, but unlikely. Goody will try and shutdown the game down and I think it’s going to backfire.

Given his frame is unlikely to change all that much more, i dont think he'll be cut out for any inside / midfield role. He seems to have similar traits to Lever, Aliir type and other tall / lanky intercepting defenders. You tend to see this type of player really shine early on in their career - just not seeing it for Mac A yet. Unless Gold Coast offered us a Bowes type deal, i wouldnt bite just yet.

Bumped into a former Blues player at kids footy training - Sons are good mates. He looked defeated and was adamant we would win - ‘broken’ was the word he used. Wouldn’t give me much else.

I can - he is not in great form. But agree once this changes, then i think it means our intercept game is up and going and most likely winning games.

I dont think Russell Jackson (The reporter ) was the main issue - it was the individuals within the footy club (presumably) that leaked the details that are to blame here. Russell was just doing his job as a journo. One could question his ethics though as he would have presumably been made aware that the alleged had not been afforded the opportunity to provide their responses to the allegations within the review process and not have that play out in the media as it is not a thorough and fair process.

Jack is just a different unit suited to a different era. "Enjoyed playing mudball" , especially when he was in his junior high school years as no one really came near him in his more senior years. I wonder how much his foot issues affected his development and ultimately his output as a player - hard to know really. I notice is on-field time is really low so far (60-70%) - not sure if that means much.

Said from day naught that the leaking of the review would ultimately undermine the whole process. Low and behold, we have gotten to the point where we are none the wiser and everyone (accused, complainants, AFL, footyclubs) has suffered as a result.
