  1. That is very worrying. GC just hungrier and they’ll continue to work hard given they have a sniff. Really need to lift.
  2. Geee we look really off.
  3. Turner having a shocker.
  4. Average performance so far. Should be 6 goals up with this lot. Getting a lesson in the clearance game atm.
  5. Carlton just need speed in the game. Playing to safe and Lions eating em up.
  6. I think Greens got a couple of gun kids at about 14-15 years old that he was coaching down at my sons club. Don’t know much more about the other players but I reckon we’d have first dibs opposed to a new club.
  7. Thanks Andy. I loved this interview and really have only jumped on the podcasts this year despite being a DL contributor for many years.
  8. Non footy Qn. Who has the best looking golf swing in the club AND is what is the best course h has played on in Victoria aside from his own course (obviously).
  9. Couldn’t find the best place to plant this but given this is the main thread in the lead up to game day though I’d share. Hoiney (spelling?) from CD tonight on SEN mentioned our #1 PF scoring is a bit misleading on the quality of our footy. Good kicking is good footy I know, but I think the message is that we aren’t flying as the top 2 position might represent and that we come back a little on the ladder if we were afl avg in set shot accuracy. Similarly the Pies are abysmal in the turnover scoring game. They didn’t really talk about our downside atm but given there was nothing glaring is a good sign that we are just not in the best form - which you don’t want to be I. April / May.
  10. Agreed - that is part of his development
  11. He didn’t IMV, Buddy was just soft and flopped.
  12. Max also has an infamous off right walk on set shots that almost always results in a hook. Walking square to goal with a. Decent ball drop is going to land you in good outcomes most of the time.
  13. That was a strange - video listening to a recount of an injury. I get the focus was mindset but still it was strange to talk about that specific moment and not something else that the average joe can relate to.
  14. I reckon they'll keep him on onto Salem returns.
  15. Both look decent in their first hit out with the VFL. But is there three first rounds picks worth for Reid? I’m honestly it would be a big call.
  16. Was nobody watching Anzac Eve? This happens to the Dees all the freaking team. Just because it is Collingwood, it gets far more coverage and press. Was the game poorly umpired last night - yes...but not to the same extent as Anzac Eve.
  17. I think a 3 quarter sub out should be another mechanism we explore rest our best. The weekend game was a good example of resting Hibbo when the game was done. The game against the Suns might give us another opportunity to this. Also we have a twilight game, hopefully we can wrap up the game before the sun sets and humidity picks up and the ball gets all dewy.
  18. Hearing on SEN it has happened. !! go you good thing
  19. Those throwing up their hands at the consulting fees spent, don't really understand the machinery of corporate Australia or even the world. Even if Andrew was best placed and the preferred candidate at the beginning of the process you cannot make an appointment of that significance without due diligence. I also chuckle at the 'old boys club' references. The AFL commission have already sanctioned a vision and strategy, which has been very successful and will set the parameters of what the candidate must bring to the table. This is why most appointments for a CEO role are done through internal promotion, as they are already onboard for what must be done to achieve their long term vision. They are also a known quantity, with an understood management and leadership style. The external appointments are more common when a company is failing to achieve and need a fundamental change in strategy and direction.
  20. So Mays dismal year (comp 2022) so far clearly coming through the stats. Bowey as well. Chandlers a bit strange I thought it would be a huge positive.
  21. 100%. This is all mental and the Pies thrive off it. There were so many Pies turnovers (much higher than afl avg) that a more experienced side clinical on turnovers would have won that game by 6+ goals. Pies also employ our 2018 esque high defensive line and are extremely aggressive in their pressure. Crows showed us how to dismantle this by winning the inside battle early on and getting it to the outside. They just couldn’t finish. As the game wore on the Pies took so many risks and did some really stupid things trying to get into the game - crows just folded… nothing else.
  22. Pies would have won by 5 + if it were a normal break between games. Crows missed an opportunity
  23. Pies winning late is getting boring
  24. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that thought he was carrying a few spare tyres.
