  1. There was another one earlier on in the season. Cannot remember precisely who it was, but a player went to push, made contact with the shoulder/chin of Neale. I remember because Neale made a meal out of the contact, making sure everybody noticed it.
  2. They'll have that hit on L.Neale that got him the face as precedent. The AFL digs themselves holes that they cannot get of. Make the rules simple. Any punch, jumper push, closed fist, open hand...to any part of the body is automatic 1 week minimum. Then you can have grades that can increase the sentence based on severity and potential to cause injury. I am more convinced now than ever, that the AFL deliberately leave in these loop holes to allow for wiggle room to let off certain players/clubs. I mean the entire commission and senior leadership at the AFL are freakin lawyers.
  3. Expecting a wet forecast based on BOM's outlook.
  4. it sounds absurd but: 1. He is a premiership player 2. Proven KP defender (what Adelaide really need) 3. Potential swingman option. 4. KPF potential. 5, He is young. Pick 4 is a minimum in my view.
  5. Either Greene gets off or goes for 4 weeks similar to Wright. Why does the MRO continually put itself in the spotlight?
  6. The kids is blown up like he is super human. Has only played a half dozen. Have seen too many fizzle out or plateau . Granted he looks the goods but given him at least 2 seasons. WC still have some bottoming out to do. Kelly, Yeo, Darling, Cripps, Sheed, McGovern …. They are some big roles to fill.
  7. Didn’t we go 10-0 in 2022.
  8. Geelong is a supremely well coached team. They have no right to be this good .
  9. Freo 5 day break? I’m joking…
  10. Tanner Bruhn is a player. Where do Geelong find these kids. He was nothing at GWS. Or was he just waiting for his time to leave?
  11. So the GWS player kicks it to Greene. If there was ever anything as football rights, that was Greenes and Durdin had no right. So the fact that Durdin goes for it and puts himself at risk, Greene is supposed to pull out? Not protect himself? It’s like driving into a round about intersection and some scumbag speeds up from the left intersecting lane and enters the round about just as you do and you end up hitting that vehicle. Technically and by the rule of law you are at fault, but everyone knows it’s BS.
  12. Why did we have to lose to these nobodies. They look shizen.
  13. I reckon the next bloke in this position just needs to pit his knee up to protect himself and put the opponent into a 6 month coma. The AFL will then come to its senses and tell players not to put themselves into stupid positions where they are vulnerable - leading with head, going back with the flight etc. If they do then it’s at their own risk. All players need to look out for their safety.
  14. Gotta be a 50m penalty. Half the Carlton team were moving in the protected zone after the siren.
  15. Greene has to be gone for minimum 4 weeks. Exactly same as Wright. I personally think it’s the one action which is BS. Tough for Greene, it was rightfully his ball and Duedin put himself in a dangerous position. Should be an interesting case as I’m sure GWS will appeal.
  16. If the Blues cannot win a premiership with this side then it’ll be the biggest waste of Curnow/McKay. The Blues look really impressive.
  17. I don’t know this. I think it though.
  18. Draper unequivocally dived on the ball. That is the most blatant free possible. All the better - need Crows to finish bottom 4 in case they come for Petty.
  19. He is so overrated. Didn’t he kick 5 goals on debut?
  20. Geez Rachelle had a free player in the goal square and decides to kick on angle 30m out.
  21. If Bumbers win they are on same win loss as us.
  22. He may well have. These guys don’t let much out and if it’s in DL then everyone knows. So I. Hand he does play and in the other he doesn’t… Perfect headache for Yze and the Tigers
  23. Cant figure out if you are taking the [censored]. But to simplify this for all those concerned, if a team was to play every Sunday, at the conclusion of their third game they would have played 3 games in 14 days. Our first 6 games were: 1: Thursday 2: Sunday 3: Saturday 4: Saturday 5: Thursday 6: Thursday So our breaks between games were 10 days; 6 days; 7 days; 5 days; 7 days. This is an average of 7 days breaks in the first 6 rounds. What i will correct is that we have played 3 games in 12 days (not 13, which is what i and others have quoted). Making fatigue a more relevant factor but again, ill maintain that we have had sufficient recovery across the first 6 rounds. The 5 day break would have been a more relevant factor coming into the Adelaide game.
  24. Bont will never leave, doing so would throw that club into utter turmoil and irrelevance. I also think it would be a burden/luggage for Bont to the extent it will affect his footy. As much as every other club would want him, i hope he sorts out whatever riff raff he has going on and stays to be a 1 club player. He is one of the greats of the modern era. I think the forwardline configuration last night might have raised a few eyebrows at the kennell. Naughton looked so much better without the congestion. Lobb played his role much more effectively too. Either JUH has to come up much more forward and give Naughton space or they move Naughton into the back line. Playing them like they do is not working. Realistically, its hard to see a situation where they trade him...
  25. But 3 in 13 is one game almost every 7 days, which is the norm. I just don't see how one less day over two weeks results in what we saw on the park that night. 3 games in 11 is entirely another matter though. I know people want to find an excuse for our capitulation against the Lions that gives them some hope that the performance is outlier, but fatigue wasn't the sole and overriding factor IMO.
