I think we need to look at moving a few players on end of season to get 2-3 picks inside the first round. Forget trying to bring in readymade as the list is done. Start with Salem,Rivers & Oliver. Tommo and BBB will be gone. I’d also look for a new coach as I think Goodwin has lost the players with this plan. We won’t contend for a while but it’ll save us from bottoming out during Tassie draft years. Sad conclusion to our window but I think it has been on the cards for a while now. - o longer an aberration but definitely a trend.

This has been on the cards for a while. Good that has happened now so hopefully something can be done for the sake of this list - forget this year. It has been ruined by poor coaching and skill execution. A team that has trouble scoring against the #2 scores against team will kick over 20 goals. Goodwin hand in your resignation- you have lost the players.

Anyone think we have a chance this year - time for a reality check.

There is absolutely no way out of that suspension. -
Onya Doggies

You’re playing basically a VFL side . Dogs are absolutely shizen.

Pies getting the roll of the green here in HTB.

You just knew it would happen. It was as clear as day. Pathetic

John Noble - turnover merchant. That’s why you didn’t get picked for the GF.

If we aren’t ready for a fast starting Collingwood outfit, I’ll spew up.

If you think we’d do anything of the sort, you don’t know Melbourne

This is completed fudged. This is huge news - match fixing is not a far stretch anymore. AFL pushing an agenda is no longer a far cry.

Pickett definitely has the speed and agility but his disposal under pressure is not elite. I have seen him butcher the ball several times. Im also not yet convinced in his ability to hit the right targets - WIP and something we should definitely persist with. I think McVee has the composure and the vision to make for an elite ball user moving forward. Reminds me a lot of McCluggage. Having him play in defensive will give him time to build his tank but all develop his defensive game. Would be a perfect rotation at some stage.

Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield

How long to a Kentfield to the backline thread? Oh wait… -
Im a Salem potter and for now still think he leaves a lot to be desired. I loved he had a great game. He has those now and then. It’ll take more than beating up on a uncompetitive side to change my mind - but it’s just my opinion. Let’s see how he goes in the next 2.
-
Just an observation. When we got stiffed by the dangerous tackle call against Carlton. Crickets from the media. Isn’t it funny when it happens to Collingwood how it makes prime time. They go as far as calling the incident between the umpire and Sidebottom a few minutes earlier too citing some conspiracy to get him back. it does my head in and biased the media is in this town.

They’ll still win by 3 points.

Agreed DD. To the eye many can see he's not right. What does the data tell us in how much 'off' he really is. I don't know where to even look. There's the obvious raw disposals, but that is never really a great indicator. what we are looking for is his ability to impact games. He was never big on scoring involvements (from memory that was Tracs area), but his CP, defensive acts, clearances, i50s were telltale signs of his impact on games. The fact that taggers are going to Trac instead of Oliver is telling enough.

I wonder whether playing him as a KPD has anything to do with how he is being groomed (footy wise) for the Suns team. They don't need another ruckman or KPF as they have two gems playing their first year. A KPD on the other hand is the final piece of the puzzle there. I too have some doubt that he'll end up at the Dees. It is why it's important that we continue to perform well and remain a destination club. Suns are about to enter the window and we are looking a bit shaky - possibly on the way down. We need to remain competitive and continue to fight tooth and nail.

That’s of course if the issue is fitness. I don’t think it is. Perry’s issue is connection with the forward line and often being out of position. Casey may fix his confidence but Tommo isnt going to magically solve the Petty issue.
-
Didn’t watch the game live but with a cool head knowing the result. Things are a lot clearer in that situation. Pettys biggest issue is positioning . He is often in the wrong spot and connection with midfield is non existent. This you can expect with someone that has played < 10 games as our KPF. It will improve with time. our ball movement looked better but it’s hard to say how much of that was due to Saints poor defence. TMac stays back he looks settled and reads the ball very well. Perfect replacement for Petty to allow him to develop in the forward line.
-
No to Tommo. I think Petty will eventually move down back when May retires and Jeffo comes of age. It’s just a temporary solution that may or may not work.

We should have smashed the Eagles last week. This is the side they are and we didn’t show up, expected a win without effort and got embarrassed by a cellar dweller. Nothing can convince me otherwise. This game will likely cost a top 4 spot.
-
Every time I get confidence we put up games like last week. Also our form line is nowhere near what the game / loss record suggests.

Richard = Cox … work it out
