  2. I’m not so sure as I was earlier today. Didn’t realise both Greens were doubtful.
  3. I watched his game closely was doing lots of off the ball work to allow BBB and Frisch a free hit up. He has played deep and no doubt adds to the side more structurally. J Smith has to be the one under the spotlight given Cameron’s dominance. I think it will depend on matchups tbh. Tonight’s ball movement and transition will torch the Cats if they get up and J Smith will play on one of the 3 talls to free up Lever.
  4. I like Greene. But boy is he stupid sometimes. He made some contact and he clearly wanted to as his walking path was direct. Had the umpire not moved , it would have been much more obvious - so there is clear intent. they will argue that he wasn’t looking but the intent is clear. will boil down to what the AFL want to do. His record will mean that a lower end suspension is unlikely and I think he’ll be gone for at least 2 weeks if the Viney suspension is anything to go by (in terms of bad look etc )
  5. Junk touches. They were not damaging.
  6. Should have iced the game then and there. better but just need to have a cool head inside 50.
  7. Probably nerves and it is wet. plus Lever is not great at ground balls.
  8. Even though we are winning this is being played the way the Lions want. our defence is a bit fumbly and we 2-3 goals against we’re just poor defence. Hopefully the nerves have settled and they have a better rest of game.
  9. Lions will go to town on that 20mins where we were monstered by the Cats. They have the class to go even better so I’m not worried about the small forwards as much as I’m worried about the clearances.
  10. Port have a few injury concerns. Gray, Fantasia…
  11. I did. But the Cats were much better last week. Smaller ground, no travel, no 6 day break and it wasn’t a QF.
  12. Cats look tired. No wonder Scott was sooking about longer quarters and the non finals bye.
  13. Our starts of late have been measured and calm. I wonder now that we are in finals if we really crank it up early and exert some dominance.
  14. Yeah somehow I think they’ll appreciate this more when the season/career is done. Right now they’ll be focused on Sat night.
  15. Its an interesting consideration. I like the idea of having Bowey play an outside role. Rivers feels like he has good inside/outside skills as well. What does this do to our existing depth players (JJ, Sparrow, Harmes and to an extent Brayshaw). When Tommo comes back next year or if Weid fines some form, we then have to contend with having TMac/Tommo as potential wingers to get into the 22. So many options that my head hurts :)
  16. Be careful @Winter Dan i was shot down for pointing out the same the other day. My take is hold onto rough diamonds (LJ). Midfielders and half backs are a dime a dozen. I wouldnt be a fan of letting LJ go as others have pointed out he has too much upside and is already proving to be a unique utility player. As for Rivers or Brayshaw (as the other WA boys) if they expressed a willingness to leave (very doubtful) then that is when i'd entertain the Cerra trade. The other component to this equation is whether Cerra would take a shorter term lower wage (again doubtful) 2 years @500-550K / year to fit into our cap. If he proves himself, then a heft pay packet will await him 2 years later. Too many roadblocks to contend with imho.
