NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Any consolation for last night is one of the other top 4 teams will feel just as [censored] as we are right now. Sorrow loves company :)

Christian Petracca hairline fracture.
Why wouldn’t you just jab it then? I know the jab can sometimes weaken tendons around the area etc if done too many times but there is not joint around there so numbing the surrounding nerves should be more than sufficient if the bone is not compromised.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
And funnily enough not being talked about at all. Coz you can’t have a buddy less finals.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
At least we know why Trac was ineffective for most of the game. I don’t think a rest will do much for recovery but he’ll definitely be playing with a jab. In finals you need a near fully fit team, a well functioning game plan and glowing confidence. Can’t say we are humming on all three right now.

CHANGES: SF vs Brisbane
No O Mac next week so LJ stays I think. Gawn > Weed in the forward line.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Goodwin is as much to blame as the entire FD. We have lost all our games in a very similar way to last night and there hasn’t been anything there to suggest we are a threat to any of Geelong, Pies or Swans. There will be more fringe teams that will improve and trouble us next year if we don’t change in some way. Thing is I’m not sure we have the cattle to play a more attacking and corridor based plan.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
Yeah that and the Franklin 50 was complete BS. 2 goals from there. Couple that with 2-3 gettable goals and there is your margin. still we didn’t look it in the 2nd half.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
I don’t think that at all. They left everything out there tonight. It wasn’t a lack of effort. I’m a broken record - I know - but our game plan in’s vulnerable to a certain style of footy. We are fast becoming the next Geelong. This season is out of reach bar a miracle. We must adapt to the new style of footy over summer. Funny but our 2018 game style would be handy right about now.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
It will change, but it will change slowly. We need sustained success over a decade for us to become relevant again. Consistently making finals and top 4 will see to that.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
They rely on the centre clearance to kick start momentum. Longmire is no dummy and made sure they we had no easy outs. We go beat +10 or something in the end. It’s quite poor actually that we lost so badly with our 1 wood.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
It’s not definitive whether he actually gets him high. I’m thinking it’s high chest / neck at the least it’s not actually clear… so it may rely on med report but we could site that it slipped up. But the non-superstar tax is awaiting us at the MRO.

Demons won't win the flag in 2022.
I am not writing us off yet but I genuinely wonder if Goody changes things up off season on account of our performances this year - evenly if we miraculously win it against all odds it may seem.

100%. If we do anything this pre season. It’s ball movement drills . Repeat, repeat and repeat. Off HB and then into F50. Repeat. We fall apart when pressure applied.

Curious, Has anyone won a flag after losing the QF?

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
What about the 50m penalties… very undisciplined by the team. 2-3 goals from there made the end margin more than it ought to have been. Obviously the Franklin one wasn’t there but still.

There’s always one side in the top 4 that goes straight sets.

POSTGAME: QF vs Sydney
Sydney too good. They have a better game plan. I’ve said it since half way in the year that the game has moved away from contest and stoppage. They have the defensive pressure to counteract our contest game and have a better outside and HB game. Salem on the HB is not the answer anymore, Bowey inexperienced and Brayshaw is a turnover merchant. We are not going to trouble the other top 4 this year I’m afraid. Scott and Longmire are still coaching after 10 years for a reason..

Every game we have lost has looked like this.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
I hear you, but i think they base the call on whether he actually touches the call and in that case, i think he actually doesnt, so as ridiculous as it sounds, technically was there. I think the first one (in the 1st quarter) where Tarrant bends down to minimise the speccy needs to be considered for tunneling. Im not sure on the actual ruling, but think its paid when the defender pushes the player from behind whilst in flight. I don't understand why its not the same thing if the defender backs into a player whilst in flight - It is just as dangerous.

Unless you have a Leigh Matthews moment... All jokes aside, the solution is not lasers but hawkeye tech developed for AFL. A few doppler radars and some strategically placed sensors, will get it done.

Not as worried now if we lose tomorrow. Lions at the G is not a scary proposition.

The goal umpire was a nugget for calling it a goal in the first place. It was clearly a behind.
