  1. Don’t think Richmond will trade on a 9 and 10 so close no need with 7/8 picks.
  2. Why take a risk on a no 10 minus player at 9 when clearly the mids are ahead of him and about 7 of them better. And with 9 or 5 please get Tauru when he is available or if not Armstrong.
  3. Talk about 3/4 glass empty !hardly a positive. Can list the positives gor you JW. . Have 2 top 10 draft picks Been about 8 years since that luxury in one of the best ( if not the best top loaded and depth draft in memory) Potential to get 2 stars either mids or one key forward or a runner and highly skilled outside ball player. 10/12 year players as well like Trac and Clarry. Hot two low key but specific holes to be addressed like Maxy understudy and ANB largely pacy half forward/ winger type who can kick goals, Kept all players except ANB who was a genuine reason to ask to go back home. Going luck Nibbler and thanks a million. Kossie Clarry and Trac despite all the naysayers can all be A graders this year if they are healthy and fit and determined. Our youth will be a strength and should improve us visibly About 8 to 10 in this category. Importantly at least 2 new Assistant Coaches are to join with fresh ideas. Goody must realise that our game plan and aggression are necessary to be upgraded in today’s footy. Close games need to nail the majority not halve the no’s next year.
  4. You have started off with a KEY forward in this article and finish up with Membrey or Skinnner. So it proves you can’t come up with a true KPF. BTW I do think either probably Skinner would have need a hood choice for us ( despite our no DH policy ). Sometimes you have to back in your system but I guess our FD and Coaches are so sick of the media lasting and banging on about culture it would have resulted in another round of tirades from Cornes Barrett and Lloyd if we had snagged Jake. Personally I hope we draft Armstrong or Tauru preferably Tauru first at 5 and then a mid any of the first 6/7 would do. That may be your answer JK and hopefully it solves the problem.
  5. You have conveniently overlooked that this facility is for community use also, not just for our training base. In addition football allegiances is a very spurious reason to use twice. About the lowest reason to vote No. This is not the MRO/ Tribunal Chair both support Pies!! State Local and Federal funds plus MCC and ours are all potentially in the mix. My hopes annd expectations are that we will have our base before this decade is over.
  6. Obviously you didn’t see many of the last 10/12 games of Jeffo in the VFL did you OD? Rather than simply judging him on his record and other judges ( which is complimentary, amazed, or still like you disillusioned and negative about his weight and competitiveness.) Most fans have at least mentioned his physique is much more developed, and his performance has improved immensely in intensity and tackling has been good. Consequently he has kicked 30 goals this season which is about the same as JVR in his 2022 (31 goals) results. The only way we will discover if he can bridge the gap is to give him opportunity when he earns it if a vacancy occurs. Input forward the suggestion that we look to play him on a HFFlank to be a mobile forward and marking addition to the forward line. My point is that Jeffo has IMO some very good forward line skills and shows the aptitude of a forward and this gives me the conviction that he may well be successful at a higher level. Let’s not get too negative about his weight or physique as not all forwards are muscle men ( Josh Kennedy for eg.) but wiry and still strong bodied. Fritta is not a strong or muscled up player but has enormous forward skills to compensate. Unfortunately many D/Landers think Fritta should be getting 8/10 tackles per game instead of 2/3 goals per game. I know which I am happy with for our team. Same as with Jeffo don’t try and compare his style say with JVR both are potentially good/ maybe in long term great forwards as is Disco also. We will gain an advantage with contrasting skills of all our players and it’s a team game after all.

Do you don’t think we should have given ANB a clearance to go home? After all his decade of service and team orientation towards our success etc. O’Keefe is a very ordinary player and it’s not fair comparing say Hogan with Wade. He is staring his career and needs opportunities which it looks like he won’t get. They just refused because they had already lost better players to make a stand. Very hard on Wade hope he doesn’t give up.

Really never made an error of judgement? How about listing a few more wisdom statements ?
  9. Really mo what enjoyment do you get extending the waste of space to the gutter journalists like Maclure and Barrett. That just wait and invent click bait to justify their incorrect judgement to embellish the situation, Can't you see thst the farm meeting was a ploy for the media and Mackie was the most likely culprit in organising this fake news. it’s yesterdays fish and chip wrappers and deserves the bin and not a relevant exercise in the trade story.

Really you know the fringe players odds ? And why do you rate Derkson a fringe player. Ge has been in the system for 2 and a half years without any opportunity in the AFL at one of the better lists of 2024/25. He has similar stats to Matty Jefferson probably more versatile and is 2 years on At least. I repeat no senior AFL games yet after a mid year recruit of 2022. Just like Matty the jury is out on his career until he gets an opportunity. Worth considering given our key position and Ruck options forward and back and on ball. He. Could be a 10 year player and I value players from GWS more than half or 2/3 other Clubs in the AFL if you look at their backgrounds in development and nurturing. Funny how they have a good record in providing more than fringe players. Might I remind you of Frosty snd Dom Tyson both very handy players no stars but AFL calibre at two Clubs. Thats pedigree I like to take a chance on and lastly he has 3 kids and a wife plus family support in Melbourne. That may be worth a real throw at the stumps for a young man trying to get places in the AFL system. Let’s go hard for him.

Really Deemania how much longer do you want us to keep Marty at 28/29 years to continue to develop?? And your comment about mongrel that is so far out of Marty’s wheelhouse. He would probably have more than one other player last year who is the frustration of our Club - Kosh Shack Attack. Can I suggest that any Rookie spots go to our 3 candidates and if Marty has to make way the other option should be an 18 yo in late draft territory that JT has a throw at the stumps or has another gem like Judd or Disco. We can really develop. And sadly I believe this should apply also to Tommo if we are serious about rebounding on the run and quickly.

How good do you know he might be in2/3 years ?
  13. Thanks for that info makes the debate a lot clearer ITFA.
  14. And Adams.
  15. Agree with should be rookieing Riak Andrew first. Has more X factor than Noah or Ricky Mentha.
  16. Now we have Chris Scott making our post forum with very old and overused excuses . Seem to have heard the Covid excuse before. Chris try another illness please !
  17. No we need a young gun like Nearly any one of the first 7/8 mids. Speed goals and swagger a bonus!!!
  18. Surely no more room or picks available to Power. They are challenging the Baggers for no’s of half forwards and on ball types. I want know how we are going to get any of Andrew , Yze and/or Mentha on our list. Perhaps both Tommo and Hore miss out. Think we only have Pick 49 left plus rookies? Would love to give JT a free throw at the stumps in a Round 4,5 or 6 for a genuine diamond in the rough!!
  19. Correction WE need to go to GWS with an attractive offer!!! We want the player GWS want cup keep him it’s up to us to pry him out of their Club. If we wait for WD the phone won’t ring!!!
  20. You have no idea UG. Kossie for all the talk has never applied for a clearance. Also now that Port has Richards from Cwood in Houston trade there is no need for Kossie.
  21. So much for Wright having burnout!! Where did you get that idea.? He has signed on as Deputy CEO at the Blues the second biggest Club and to take over iwhen Cook retires at the end of 2025. Boy if he has burnout as you stated he won’t last long in that furnace up in Royal Parade. They know how to full pressure their Coaches and Administrators. To be fair he has been away this year mostly from the Pies and was overseas so burnout could well be gone with some European culture and charm reviving his love for the sport.
  22. What about differing ways and plans only being taught under virtually one club or a certain style. We need a left field person to dramatically alter our style of game plan and give the players back their flair and love of the game. Not be suppressed by defence and contest perpetually.
  23. Absolutely Ollie. i still think in Mick’s first 3/4 years he struggled on game day with little imagination and flair. And as many in the game flair and possibly imagination would not be in the vocabulary about Mick. However he realized that he had to expand his horizons and gradually became more aggressive and when the Dees rebuilt with young recruits on the run about Season 5 we saw the Dees become far better in big games and comfortably made the Finals each year since including our magnificent initial Flag in a titanic tussle over Brisbane at their newly constructed home ground. Low scores but a slug fest we won in a low score. But by now Mick was switching players in positions and had a much more versatile list to coach. Fast forward to today and we looked down and out after Essendon on GF Eve gave us our biggest and most embarrassing experience in the 8 and a bit seasons AFLW. Our fourth loss and 3 by more than 40 pts. However the dozen injuries and loss of form from that day have stopped ans Mick has on his admission simplified our game from one match to another and bingo 3 thrilling wins all different the undoubted highlight last Wednesday nights heist of the almost unbeaten Crows at their fortress Unley Oval. After yesterday we are now only % out of the Top 8 with Finals a realistic possibility if we win our last 3 h and a games with challenging games vs Tigers and Hawks and the undoubted worst team in the fixture the Pies due to injuries and a static game plan. Mick’s greatest coaching philosophy is to get his players happy engaged and contented in playing footy for his team and that’s the reason now with his match hardened and clever brain he has managed in his none seasons win most games until just recently. With his skills and confidence he could now be an assistant coach for a year or two and enter a succession plan or just be ready to take over any time soon. Mick has the method and air of a winner and the unity of groups of young women point to a potentially successful stint when and if he switched to the men’s league at the Dees.
  24. Wrong what a stupid naive comment. This afl.com.au journalist is all class honesty and knowledge. if I was him I would consider su…g you!!! Look at his work and contributions in tandem with Riley Beveridge for an answer on his sincerity and poise with our future footballers and players agents. Extremely poor judgement of humanity.
