  1. Already it has been stated that priority will be given to HOME members in matches Obviously to ensure that Clubs have best chance of selling memberships. The supporters of bigger Clubs might struggle with smaller games but all Clubs could in some blockbuster games if 50% capacity is retained more than say Round 5/6. Melb would want our blockbusters vs Tigers Pies Bombers (away) Cats Saints to be as full a capacity as possible so that maximum revenue can be obtained. BTW Old Dee Your statement that you didn't go last year is not news as NO ONE in Victoria saw any games live in 2020 due to Covid. I was very lucky being in Brisbane saw about 15/17 games inc. Gabba and Metricon inc. all the Melb games plus some others. Supporters just have to get adjusted to applying for each match tickets ( which are Covid tracing friendly) even if they are members have reserved seats or are away general admission. It's easy after a couple of tries.!
  2. It might not be important but in Brisbane their GabbaTrust ( which I am a member and it is a very smallish copy of the MCC) started off having a ballot when the AFL games commenced in about July In 2020 and it was much more work for their staff ( possibly more complaints) but After about 3 weeks they resorted to first in best dressed and their responsibility is far less as all tickets are in a queue and you have 2 sections to choose from Alchohol or Non Alchohol. Needless to say The Non A did not sell out any where near as quick. Of course you don't have the choice in MCC of that Style of seating. This was handled very well all tickets are mobile and bag checks also undertaken quicker by staff. But you also have your seat and no one can take it!!! So don't have to get the There Early really either and are able to get some ( how many I don't know in a row maybe guest passes ) all depending upon early Covid protocols with say 50% capacity. Would be nice if 75% was allowed forPreAnzac Eve vs Tigers and for QB maybe even full!!

Obviously there are limits of speech for Our Pres to advise and as it seems to be on Govt land and they are going to get the kudos for this Community and Sporting Complex probably right near Richmond railway Station redevelopment. Couldn't be any better placed really to maintain our historic sporting and emotional association with that area. As I said to rJay be patient !!! Not much longer it would appear.
  4. I have to ring MCC to see if they will still have reciprocal rights tickets available otherwise my Melb m'ship ticket (which I normally give to a friend for his family ) will have to be used in the outer where they like to stand !! They Wont be able to stand very freely I reckon this year as they will have Covid officials ensuring you are in your seat. For tracing purposes!! Love the MCC Members in Section 1 well back from the fence giving great view of the ground at that level. Still really should be glad just to go to the G and get back to barracking with all the other fans for the Dees.!!!
  5. At 9.30 AEDT am in the morning ??? Come on !!!
  6. Well basing your opinion that we will have a poor year will lead to Clarry leaving is not a great reason for that to happen. Zhe might win our B and F and be happy if we make the 8 !!!

Some of these factors are what size am saying An express train only stopping at Dabde and Caulfield or same with bus ( with Club promotion involved) our to Casey is really basic stuff. Brisbane gets about est. 70 % to Gabba By bus from reg shopping centres for parking each game and is just completing this year I believe the Cross River Rail underground with a Gabba Station adjacent to the Gabba!
  8. BDA thanks Agree with your summary Of our more experienced players and Hibbo had a good year ( and is unlucky to miss in my team ) but Langers Clarry Trac ( especially) plus Salem's last half also IMO all we're reliable and near Or in best seasons performance mode. Agree that TomMac Melksham Gus Jake L Viney ( not far off) Harmes and on the wing Only Tommo were all inconsistent and will need to lift their game fir us to go to smother level. But it's the young group I think we will get a big lift out of without putting too much pressure on each of them individually. Other factors such as better training and much improved match day decision making plus game plan tweaking etc. can lift us by 20% in a lot of areas.

IMO CS is definitely saying that Casey residents don't want to go to the MCG on Sat ( Why only Sat p.m.?) Or is that just saying any time really! For any maximisation of our Casey deal of 30 years Melbourne must have factored in some additional supporters From that region. Some at Casey Fields and a corresponding spike on match days at the G ( or Marvel) as new fans were attracted to the national game. But in doing so I don't know if any sweeteners have been offered to the ratepayers of Casey for example, maybe Others than a few free kids tickets on the odd occasion. Maybe some benefits For ratepayers for membership. Or transport such as a special train from Cranbourne with free transport or alternatively bus transport from Cranbourne To the G. On its own or as a packsge. On the rebound a bus from Caulfield station or at least from Cranbourne for AFLW games to Casey Fields and return would provide a More relaxing easy mode of transport. Of course as we all know any promotions are so much better if the team is successful. But creative marketing also is needed to make use of our relationship with City of Casey. It must have given you Its Time confidence that The Casey deal would be a success with a major player in our Club hardly giving it his spproval.!!!
  10. That's having a bet each way DS ! Saying "flankers" Like Rivers Pickett Laurie and Bowery don't have to do grunt work Or be brilliant is odd. And then even if it happens it won't be a full season But it might change the feel of the team.! I am thinking you have phased this clumsily and mean that the younger players if used don't have to be the stars but play a role to support the more established players such as Trac May Gawny and the established more experienced group. Your doubt that it would last the full season is even odder given that recruits are managed these days to get through the season. And finally Rosman has the goods to play and should as he is physically big enough even though it's a demanding position. If he's good enough he should play as any of our new players from recent drafts or even Lockhart Sparrow and Jordon if they are showing form good enough compared to say Melksham or ANB or Vsnders. Some of Our good players of 2018 have not produced since then including Harmsey and need to earn their spot in 2021. That will Enable improvement in the team with all contributing equally to the team cause In line with their roles and ability.
  11. So where will Clarry be playing in 2022 oh smart one?
  12. Well give some detail and reasons that this can't occur this year or 2022!? Thats what we build a list around and give the players a chance to perform under our Coaching panel and Environment.

I am talking about the realistic expectations of supporters being a chance each year for the 8 and flag in this toughest of competitions. Even the Hawks have fallen ! And we await the Cats plunge!!

    More haste less speed!!!
  15. Fine but all season remember !!
  16. Well most others have remarked on his bulk and improvement PF. If I recall you have a set against Charlie so this bias is clouding your judgement. Lets see now that the practice games are starting on.

Finally some common sense It's like our flag it's got to be 2021 or 22 !!! Can't wait ! we are an impatient lot with very little common sense. This search has not gone on for 57 years like our flag hunt. It takes 5/8 years to build a team sometime and I feel that we are getting closer with our list. Time to back in the Coaches Inc. Choco snd Ooze. and our list Getting deeper each year with some real talent and X factor stRting out on the journey to unite with the existing talent Ready to fully blossom.
  18. The MFC members reserved seat ticket is not compatible with the seat tickets for AFL games required to enter the ground so It's a tracing matter more than Anything else. They will have to work out the reserved seat Holders to keep their seats as reserved with the Club on their Covid $0.00 ticket entry. Even MCC and AFL members will have to purchase a Covid entry mobile ticket with their designated seat.
  19. 58er replied to Hampton 22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well that's the challenge isn't it to maintain a chance of Finals year after year!!!
  20. 58er replied to Hampton 22's topic in Melbourne Demons
    What ??? Please explain
  21. 58er replied to Hampton 22's topic in Melbourne Demons
How do Dogs Saints Roos manage the same complex we are contemplating. In 2017/18 we were in the top 6 for attendances ( and probably 3 in 2018 if you add our Finals attendances ) so we can attract crowds at the G and interstate when our:side plays good football or contends.
  22. 58er replied to Hampton 22's topic in Melbourne Demons
A will and a way is far more important than a:supporter base for this to happen In other words you are saying Bartlett ( and Pert) are feedIng us porkies or just plain BS? Reckon you have to give the Committee handling this the benefit of the doubt until proved impossible.
  23. No not the " new" Spargo Trackwatchers ( other than yourself obviously ) have remarked he is a:shoe in for around 1 His bulking up and boy becomes a man body is leading to a much more involved and mature player. I am a fan of Charlie as when he gets the ball a score or assist often result. That's in contrast to many you of our other forwards !
  24. Apologies for leaving out Jayden Hunt who I M O could easily exchange with Laurie Harmes or Tomlinson.
  25. Yes that may be the more regular figure but remember the Doggies won theirs at least 2 years before their time. It doesn't mean ALL players have to have 100 games together but at least Half and the list contains a very solid group of younger players and a couple Or more of older ones with more games. For instance Maysie Gawny BBB Hibbo Jets Jonesy TomMac Mitch Brown and Melky And Majak Daw are the latter. The ideal age and 100 games are Trac Clarry Gus Langers Tommo Jack V Jake L Harmesy The third group is the one you are pointing the bone at Say too young and not enough games is the largest Including Fritta Spargs Sparrow Jordon Pickett Jacko Riv Weid Lockhart Joel Smith Petty Chandler and Neitschke our draftees Rosman Laurie and Bowey plus any of the rookies Bradtke Farmer and Deakin Smith. Apologies for any missed players from any category. For a start Choco has already burnt !!! Or torn up The 2020 draftees birth Certs indicating he doesn't think age and by association experience is the most vital attribute needed for Round1 selection. Here is IMO our best chance of winning a flag this year if the team is selected as below assuming all players are fit and available. A mix of all categories is necessary so that our best 22 plus emergencies is ready for that one game in September!!! B Lockhart May Lever HB Rivers Petty Salem C Rosman Petracca Langdon HF Fritsch Tom Mac Spargo F Pickett B Brown Jackson R Gawn Oliver Viney I Brayshaw Sparrow Laurie Weideman Emerg Harmes Bowey Jordon Tomlinson If the 26 selected the following numbers are Above 100-200 games (4) May Tom Mac Ben Brown Gawn About 100 games and 4/6 seasons (9) Lever Salem Petracca Langdon Oliver Viney Brayshaw Harmes Tomlinson Under 4 seasons and 50 games (13) Lockhart Rivers Petty Rosman Fritsch Spargo Pickett Jackson Weideman Laurie Sparrow Bowey Jordon While most wont agree with this team, or even if they do acknowledge our Premiership window is not open yet due to youth I believe that depending upon improvement injuries and game plan execution it's not that Far fetched for us to be in the Top 4 with the double chance. There are Player such as Hibbo Jonesy and Joel Smith plus Chandler Neitschke and the rookies who might be playing well enough to be considered in the top 22 or 26. Our list would undoubtedly be Better this time next season with another 25 games into the third category but youth are resilient and won't hold back in their quest for glory and Hero status.
