  1. Based on what I've been reading here anyone unable to preempt an opponents action by turning on the head of a pin in a split second to avoid contact will be in trouble.
  2. At a guess it'll be the same periodical scans that T-Mac gets to monitor his ongoing issues. There will always be a vulture posted outside where they get them done lest there be a headline to write.
  3. Yeah, I was surprised at the former and laughed at the latter. They do have similar personalities though, as in none.
  4. Fair play to BG in his media conference today. Not only did he use the indigenous names for both clubs playing this weekend but also reminded them of the significance of the round when they attempted turn the narrative into us roughing up LJ. Best of all he gave them SFA about any potential injury to Clarry or Fritta. That club polo he's modelling is horrible though.
  5. Considering Carlton probably needed an 8 goal lead at three quarter time to be a chance today it's not looking good so far.
  6. If the two clubs are monitoring their own interchange numbers and an interchange steward is monitoring both then it isn't too much of a stretch surely to let them know when they've reached their limit to avoid something like this happening?
  7. Hi @Engorged Onion and @DubDee. I must confess that I haven't been there since pre-covid times but I'd say it's still good craic. Always a good idea to call them early in the week to book a table (unless you're happy to stand) and tell them which game you're coming to see. It's usually locals that frequent the place so there's always been a good vibe when I've been there. Good food and a reasonable selection of beers.
  8. There's no question about that.
  9. LOL. Robbo just said that Adelaide could win the flag this year. Thufferin' Thuccotash!
  10. It's actually more fun to watch when Carlton give their supporters a sniff of victory before capitulating.
  11. Hopefully they'll be pronounced dead at the scene.
  12. Good turnout from our supporters tonight. I thought we outnumbered the emergency services people 70/30.
  13. Did well to get out of that one with the 4 points. Hawks were on fire there for three and a half minutes. If Al-Qaeda were ever to plan anything it would be at half time in Hawthorn’s emergency services game.
  14. A bit ambitious for the GC boys to be signing 22 footballs to hand out to their supporters in the crowd.
  15. Doesn't it warm the heart to see a half empty Optus Stadium.
  16. I reckon any side currently on 12 points or under can start making their Mad Monday plans if they don't win this weekend.
  17. I watched a little bit of 360 for the first time in ages recently. Is it just me or has Robbo started to sound a bit like Sylvester the cat on the old Looney Tunes cartoons?
  18. Booked the first flight down Friday and the last flight back on Sunday a while ago when Jetstar had a sale on. Will worry about getting an airbnb in town a bit closer to the date. By the time the AFL have finished fannying around with the time slots for that round the airfares will be ridiculous.
  19. Trial by media. The next TV contract will include a Judge Judy style tribunal to be followed by Lyon, Browne and Buckley discussing the fall out on On the Bench.
  20. In commentary parlance everybody is either a star, a champion or a legend. Stars are entry level status.
  21. The problem with modern day commentators is that they confuse commentary with punditry. Just call the game and save the hyperbole for your spinoff show afterwards.
  22. Don't forget, that wasn't just footy we were watching yesterday. It was FOX footy. Where truth goes to die.
