  1. That's Brisbane now having lost all three of their home games against Carlton, Collingwood & Geelong. If we'd bothered to turn up last week their season would already be in a burning dumpster.
  2. Fremantle can't even use the 5 day break excuse. Embarrassing.
  3. Nice that these two games are staggered so as to miss all the half time drivel.
  4. From a ticketing perspective a GWS Grand Final would be an opposition supporters dream. I'd happily continue to see them rack up wins and finish 2nd behind them at the end of the H&A season.
  5. I thought it was pretty clear to anyone who read his post that he was giving an opinion. He wrote IMO. He didn't say that he had knowledge that he was out the door and I didn't suggest that he did.
  6. Rachele single handedly cost his team the 4 points with his dropped sitters and poor decision making when the game was on the line.
  7. The Edge watching Essendon.
  8. Look at it from BT's perspective Mel.
  9. Some nice retro tunes they're playing after each goal. Well, retro outside of SA.
  10. Hi Redleg. Yeah, it's a little further back in this thread.
  11. The good news is that if you've already had a yellow fever vaccination it's now good for a lifetime of Collingwood games and not just 10 years.
  12. If Dannyz thinks he's out the door then our club will be planning accordingly for his exit.
  13. Probably the Sunbury line DW. I use it for work and every day there's either an illegal trespasser on the tracks, a police incident at a station or a power outage somewhere that shuts down the line on the way home.
  14. Another Thursday night blowout on the cards after we stunk it up last week.
  15. I've got less buy into the '3 games in 13' days narrative than some others. If every side played a game every 7 days they'd still be playing 3 games in 15 days. We had a 7 day gap leading into the Port game and the same leading into the Brisbane game. Travel time was a 1 hour flight each way over a week apart. From a psychological perspective we then had a 13 days gap that included some 'down time' to look forward to after throwing everything at the Lions. I certainly think it started to show in the last quarter of the Crows game however when we were coming off a 5 day gap and went goalless. That said, almost the entire side looked flat on Thursday night, couldn't cover ground and spread quickly or break lines, made poor decisions and fumbled possession constantly. Losing Salo early didn't help our ball movement and transition and being without Kozzie's pressure (both perceived and real) and dynamism robbed us of the ability to create goals out of half chances and made it easier for the opposition to move the ball out of their own defence. In our engine room we know that Vines had been ill the week before and Clazz was playing literally with one hand. We were also robbed of both Koz and Salo as midfield rotations. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think our performance had more to do with injuries and suspension to some of our most important players which our B graders couldn't make up for unfortunately.
  16. Gotta feel sorry for Richmond. Said nobody ever.
  17. They've opened a branch of the restaurant Chin Chin in their new grandstand so maybe Pork Belly Park is more apt.
  18. As nice as it would be to see WC go through a season 0-23 it would be equally as good to face a completely demoralised Richmond a week on Wednesday.
  19. Suns must finally be getting some traction up there as Carrara is only three quarters empty tonight.
  20. LOL. Up your @rse Carlton.
  21. They are mostly Fitzroy supporters at the games down here. They chant Lions, not Brisbane. Reminding them their team died in 1996 shuts the mouthy ones up pretty quickly I find.
  22. Worst we’ve played in four years. Did they all have Covid? Made Brisbane look like the Harlem Globetrotters.
  23. They will be fighting it out with Richmond and Footscray to finish 9th I think.
  24. As long as we're a top four side we'll stay on broadway (AO) and away from these postage stamp sized venues. Ben Brown would have to master a short run in a la Malcolm Marshall.
  25. Aside from the fact that the two Adelaide sides get an extra home game and therefore an unfair advantage I think it's logistically the best place to hold it each year. It's easy to get to from Victoria both by road and air and a relatively short flight from WA. As for the few GC and GWS supporters that would make the trip their presence is negligible anyway so Andrew Demetriou's plastic implants can play each other every year in Coober Pedy. The only issue on the horizon is when Tasmania enter the competition one team won't have anyone to play that week.
