  1. Hey Wellsy, that was my first ever real-life encounter with the big fella, and I was very excited to see him in Frankston of all places!! He looked good, possibly had been out on the golf course today, and also mentioned that his family are heading down to Hobart to watch the game as well. He also said that the club had been informed that if Hobart was a no-go, and if for some reason Docklands was also a no-go, that playing the game in NSW was next cab off the rank??? Apparently to do with the fact that NSW hasn't put any restrictions on visitors from Perth but I'm not sure of this.
  2. Yeah it definitely was Tuesday originally, and I stupidly spent 15mins trying to buy a ticket at 11am this morning, until it clicked??. And I just ran into Big Maxxy at 7/11 Frankston, and asked if he knew where the game is going to be played, and he said whilst they don't officially know yet, he sounded pretty confident that the game will go ahead in Hobart.
  3. Awesome call 3D, we are really well placed if Tomlinson can keep doing what he's doing, because he's been sensational.
  4. The barometer is just warming up, well done on 100 games tilt.
  5. Got my trip down there all booked for the game and was really looking forward to getting away, but now I'm concerned. I've got until 4pm Monday to cancel for a full refund, should I bite the bullet or risk 400 bucks, and possibly end up watching the dees play north at the MCG from a pub in Hobart????
  6. Hi all, sorry to jump a week ahead but does anyone know when and where tickets go on sale for the Hobart game??
  7. Probably 65% Hawks supporters Old Dee, and they were fairly well spread out around the ground, whereas Dees supporters mostly clumped into the Ponsford and MCC side of the ground.
  8. Yes Stigga, the first of hopefully many a triumphant beverage has been downed. Come on Dees.
  9. Is anyone else feeling a bit concerned about what might happen to the Kangas tomorrow. Pre-game laps of honour for past Cats favourites coupled with the fact that they've copped some negative critique from the media this week, and of course Danger is back. North have been stiff with injuries, and a 4.40pm Sunday affair at a parochial Kardinia Park could be keeping some blokes awake tonight.
  10. Great call KLV, he just seems to be permanently salty.
  11. Looks like it's going to be ripping conditions up there Ken... how's it now, and have you seen any signs of demon-life in the capital?
  12. 6. May. 5. Lever. 4. Petracca. 3. Langdon. 2. Oliver. 1. Gawn.
  13. Well done to the boys, they got the job done in the end. Regardless of anything else, a Round 1 win at the MCG was important.
  14. And after standing our ground over our round 1 fixture staying at the G, I'm tipping 16-18k crowd at best after today.
  15. The 2018 finals are definitely a great pick-me-up when needed, but a couple of obscure games that I love watching on YouTube are the 2014 win against Adelaide over there, with Roosy guiding the boys to their first win in SA for a bloody long time. And the other one that still warms my heart to this day was a victory against Carlton in 2005, in the last home game they ever played at Princess Park. John Elliott had continuously labelled us irrelevant, and there was no way that the blue baggers were going to let down the masses of dumb feral Carlton supporters who packed into the stands that day. But they did, and for once, we were the best party-spoilers you could hope to support. Go Dees.

  17. Just read an article on the AFL website, here's a screenshot. Rival clubs sniffing around Toby Bedford???
  18. Very good reading Joeboy, and nice work all season. I'm with SONS on Weideman though, he wasn't a major disappointment, maybe a minor one at worst. I didn't have massive expectations that he'd dominate this season, but he did enough to think that he should become a reasonable player pretty soon. His success will depend on learning to hit the pack at the right time, at the moment I reckon he's going up too early, and hanging his arms up there in the air to be spoiled far too easily. Another genuine key forward would help him no end.
  19. Spot on Super, when I woke this morning and saw this, I just cringed. At 3/4 time while you're being spoken to by the coach, to think that this sort of action is acceptable...
  20. The bottom half of tonight's team aren't even good honest toilers, they just don't get anywhere near the footy enough to have any sort of impact.
  21. I'm hearing you Bingers, I'll post a match report later on...
