  1. i really hope the giants win next week or else i'll have to leave Victoria, Richmond are my most hated club by far and i don't think i could stand them winning another one. come on giants !
  2. get adam yze and jordan lewis on the coaching staff and we won't be noticing his loss. hopefully all ten of the North fans will appreciate what Rawlings will bring to them. all the best jade
  3. sad to see Dec go, i thought he had some real potential (but then again there aren't many others i would get rid of) thanks for the good times Jeffy. (I still think Jeffy brings more to the table then Spargo)
  4. i see what you mean but at this point, i could not care less. eddie mcguire grinds my gears more than Garry, (P.S. love Garry's morning radio show with Tim Watson, he is quite good on that if you gave it a listen)
  5. I think they will throw Steven May forward, why else would they trade Preuss for him. he was a genuine forward before he got turned into a defender by Gold Coast so he can definitely play in the forward 50. at this point we have nothing to lose so i would expect an odd change like this.
  6. if we can get through either broad or woakes i think we should be fine, oh sorry wrong sport, max tried hard, shining light. I'm hanging in there with the boys, been through a lot worse so not about to give up on them now. also thought JKH looked good, don't no why he has been stuck in the 2's
  7. only getting 3 centre clearances well into Q4 absolutely killed us, that is an area we are usually very strong in but apparently thats gone to shīt as well (max's injury probably did not help), but even when we won the hitout we would still stuff around, over-handball and it would rebound. really scratching my head as to how we can improve? :(
  8. not the reason we lost, but the inter-state bias when it comes to free kicks needs to be fixed, i don't know how but the way inter-state crowds can influence decisions and the lack of consistency applied to visiting teams is infuriating.
  9. love the sound of it, thanks for the suggestion :) thoughts on Gax Mawn?
  10. In your rage about his efforts on Saturday night, many of you forget how good he was in the first couple of rounds last year when lever was around. i'd argue that during that time he was in career best form and was a really good one on one defender. as soon as lever wen't down, omac's form dwindled a bit for the rest of the year. if he keeps underperforming then sure we could have a look at it, but getting rid of Oscar is not a smart move imo.
  11. finally, another optimist, this website can turn into a dark hole of cynicism when things aren't going our way, but the fact is, we bloody won!!!!!!!! time to celebrate
  12. absolutely stoked with the four points, for once we are winning the close ones. I acknowledge that there is still a lot to work on, forward fifty entries especially however there is still lots to like. everyone getting stuck in to certain players, performance, effort etc. give it a break! lets enjoy the win and come back even better next week. love this club, Go Dees!
  13. i always thought that Dunny was a great servant of the club and that he tried really hard. he was probably held back a bit by us when we were at the depths. as many have already said, his ott celebrations in round 23 2017 [censored] me off as the game really did not help them out in any way. i wish him all the best for the future.
  14. great win dees, jones & harmes really stood up when the team needed them to. i've been telling my mates all week to keep the faith but they all chose to throw in the towel. glad i stayed strong. hopefully this is not another false start and we really can get going this season. up the mighty demons!!!!!!!!!!
  15. very true. we all saw the effect that we had on the team throughout finals and how we really helped to lift them. unfortunately, its gotten a bit tough and lots of people have hopped off the bandwagon. If we as a dedicated supporter base can get through Mark Neeld being our coach, than we will be able to get through this. Go Dees!
  16. umpires lost it for us. definition of corruption. commentators were constantly saying how weak and pathetic their calls were. i can't believe how idiotic they are. the same problems remain and no one is doing anything about it, Troy Chaplin needs to go, he couldn't coordinate the backline of an under 10 side. i'm tired of the false hope, this club is pure disappointment, no chance of making finals after this insipid start. if anyone can remain optimistic fair play to you. getting rid of the membership. on the plus side, at least i got my tip for essendon
  17. we ended up getting fritsch for watts. I don't know about you but I would take fritsch any day of the week and I think most other dees fans would. (bear in mind Watts had one good game, and he was basically non-existent for Port last year) I was still sad to see the back of watts, (thought he was finally becoming a good footballer through 2017) however again, fritsch seems to bring more to the table.
  18. everyone was overreacting after the first five rounds last year when we were 2-3 saying that we would miss the finals and that we would never be good ever again. well this is round 1, so calm down. I do agree there are many parts of our game that need improvement, there were many key players who underperformed, there are many people that we are waiting to come back from injury. another thing to consider is maybe our players were effected by the reduction in the time runners are allowed unto the ground... the fact is that we have a great coach, a great list, great leaders and a great supporter base. we have all the right people in all the right places. we may be subject to a few upset losses throughout the year, but every good team is. every good team has weaknesses in their game plan. we will improve over the year (fix up structure, game plan, positioning etc.). so don't throw in the towel just yet. up the dees!
  19. Outs: Frost, Hore, Spargs Ins: May, Lewis, K.K (if fit) don't think we need Preussy against Geelong, Maxy will have the Geelong ruck department handled. want to see a big lift from Hunt, Weids, Corey Wagner or else they will be straight out when others return.
  20. J. Watts: reliable and effective (three words that were never ushered in his time at MFC)
  21. Pretty disappointed with the effort today. lack of experience, lack of key players, lack of a pre-season all went against us today. we still look like we struggle on defensive transition, especially on the G and also when the Port switched the ball they seemed to always have the overlap player. it was too easy for Port to leave defensive 50, they should not be allowed to get sucessive Jones looked shaky, Gawny was average, Hore not up to the big time yet, Clarry went missing, Weids and T-mac failed to have an impact and the list continues. no-one stood up in key moments. interested to see if anyone else thinks that the new 6-6-6 rule is messing with our structure off the bounce and our ability to get clearances. not going to burn the membership just yet and not going to call for Goodwin to be sacked but there is much improvement needed.
  22. anxiety and high heart rate have already returned, MFCSS activated. should be a good game and should be a win. Come on Dees!
  23. yeah not wrong, don't remember the same for watts? but then again, that was watts,
  24. Hi I would like to be in a league for this season (first time for demonland supercoach) Hamish / Hamo's Heroes
