Is that our biggest win over the Eagles (and their lowest home score)? -
PARKIN: Short Priced Dees Could Learn From ‘95 Blues

I have a memory of an unexpected win at Princes Park that paid for the Dees trip away. (The boys played like men possessed) -

Right, cop this. When I was in the Soviet Union in 1985, near Lake Baikal, a fellow traveller on the Trans Siberian Railway said to me : Melbourne have won. (Fancy making a long distance call from the USSR to Australia to get the footy scores - thats committment). -
Hens teeth were stolen by aliens in a flying saucer. Naturally my camera was broken at the time so I have no proof. (I cheated on the photo, it is a shot out of a video, thats why he looks slightly blurry)

I have been watching the Flight Attendant....there are flash backs forwards ups and downs, lots of drinking, noise, shouting etc....I think it would be just as enjoyable if you played the episodes out of order (see also Killing Eve)

If lifes baggage is a heavy as a ships cargo, lighten the load by following Charlie Spargo (work in progress; don't give up my day job)

Top 10 players from other clubs to help our list
Fritta and Turner replied to Deedubs's topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought it was a cliche back in the 70's - as in a player has struggled the whole preseason but 10 days out from game 1 some unknown club functionary is quoted as saying 'He will be cherry ripe for round 1' -
Could we get his head through the door. Bucks might struggle not being head banana. Remember Barass and Jordan both trying to coach from the bench?

Team Selection - is it ever based on matchups
Fritta and Turner replied to deelusions from afar's topic in Melbourne Demons
I remember Ted standing on the wing with 2 Richmond players. One of them goaded Ted. Ted obliged. There was much blood. The other Richmond player just looked at his team mate and dismissively waved him to the bench. -
What They Are Saying in Lathlain

Now tell us how you really feel. -
Agree. Tomlinson a late in for lever, Melks the sub. Not sure why Mitch Brown is in the squad.

The Veil of Negativity is gone … forever?
Fritta and Turner replied to DubDee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Essentially yes as we didnt fluke the win, we built a strong list, club and strategy over a period of time. So we know the method. I am much more relaxed about footy and the win has lessened my enjoyment of the game because most of the other teams appear to be sub standard. And the games we play are not exciting in that we get comfortably ahead and strangle the opposition. -
Like with all player rating systems I can totally comprehend the herbs and spices but the rest is just a mystery.....
-
Agree. It took Goody a couple of seasons to get the players to buy in, and that requires patience and an ability to relate, especially to younger players. Noble is 9 years older than Goody so I doubt he will be successful, should have been head of the football dept instead. Don't blame JHF for going elsewhere and if his father gets a job at another club it is on.....😀

Well he is 34. Probably should be rested permanently.

What with Mothers Day and other celebrations have just watched the replay : Kozzie could have won the game in the first quarter Ryder is a good match up for Gawn TMc looked like a champion (which is a worry for ST Kilda) Fritta had another lucklustre game Jordon not noticed then everywhere Jay and Zac don't like each other Charlie Spargo Backs played very high up the ground, hence goals to Rivers and Brayshaw Commentators comdey hats were well and truly on by implying that the Saints losing by only 38 points was a win. (Shades of NZ 'winning' the 2010 World Cup.) This time we kicked the goals in junk time.

So underrated I dont even know who Burns is
-
I would replace Bowie with Bowey and Jordan with Jordon. Salem can replace Brayshaw and Tomlinson can be a workman like replacement for Petty

Jones hit Oliver in the chest and so it wasnt high, but of medium impact and i will say that the force of the blow surprised Oliver. The dump on Langdon was dangerous though in Jones defence it happened in a split second. Funny enough though most players seem able to avoid doing that. The response of the umpire and Langdons team mates was professionally appropriate. Being the younger brother of club legend N Jones, it was a very poor act that dishonoured the family name.

Nervous as all hell. (I hated mothers day; something always came 'unstuck' and then it was on....)

In fairness to, or explanation of, Mark Neeld I was under the impression that he was given the brief to turn the place upside down. Unfortunately he did more than that, he levelled it. A dramatic failure of the club at almost every level.
