Is 6 the top? If not why are people rating Tracc to low?

Does anyone want to bring back the old Demonland?
I canāt even post in game day anymore because Iām tired of every time the opposition scores they rant about how crap our team is. They wonāt be happy unless we keep the opponent scoreless (which has never happened.) And if we lose (the perfect season, including finals, has never happened) Iām so tired of the āIām over this clubā and āthatās it for me. Sick of demonsā and āIām returning my membership.ā FSS if thatās true, do it. Go be a fair weather supporter. Change your team each year depending on which team you follow. I think the culture of failure is so entrenched with some they accept it as inevitable and embrace the ridicule, like this Clown here.

Itās time to say itā¦
Having no interest/knowledge about soccer Iāll have to take your word over it. All Iām saying here really is this has never happened ever. Never have I seen a season where pundits are saying WE are the cup favourites. Never have I had an answer to the debate such as āwell our teams the best at the moment. Never have I seen them at the top this time in the season. Never have my team been the admiration of all the other teams on the league. Never have I see us sit on top of the perch and look down on everyone else. Iāve seen seasons were we were celebrating when we won less games than this. Iāve seen many where we were the joke of the league, the recipient of puns and jokes. Even in my office environment at work I was ridiculed. For years we were the example of what a team shouldnāt be. The sight of Melbourne failing was so common it was seen as expected and the norm. Now the opposite is happening. We are feared and seen as the team to beat. I have never experienced this. Even as well as we played in 2000, deep down I knew every team was playing for second place that year. Yes I know itās a long time to go. Yes we can still falter. But even if itās for this brief moment we are the pride of the league. Itās something Iāve never experienced before and may never experience again. I just love going into work after the weekend, smiling, not facing embarrassing jeers about how ās**tā my team did on the weekend. Itās nice being looked up to not down on. I can only imagine how my nieces/nephews (the closest Iāll ever have to having children) feel. I imagine all the ridicule and teasing they must have got through the years and the pressure to change to a āpopularā winning team. Now they must be smiling and the admiration of all their classmates. Anyone who has children must have felt guilty about all they put their kids through. Now they can see them as sitting on the top of the winners pile.

But didnāt they struggle to put Collingwood away? If magpies had kicked more accurately they may even have pinched it

Itās time to say itā¦
Oh I know all this. But right now we are the premiership favourite and the best team in the league. Maybe we wonāt win it, maybe we have peaked, maybe we will choke. But right now we are the best team in the league. The media has said we are outright premiership favourite. This has never happened to us in my (not saying my age) lifetime. Iām going to enjoy it while I can. Letās just lap it up while we can. It may never happen again.

But we havenāt yet. Yes it could happen but I havenāt seen this consistency and brilliance in a team in my lifetime. Even both our grand final years we were nowhere near this good. I was still of the radar in 1964, so Iāve never seen a team like this. Only brief flashes. 1987 I think we can take the fact that we emotionally and physically drained the hawks and itās really what stopped them from mounting any challenges against the the blues. I think the same would have happened to us. It was an exhausting preliminary final and we would have been without several of our players. I mean, Hawthorn still celebrate that victory to this day only to go on and⦠lose. Would it have been that great losing two grand finals in a row? 1988 was exciting but even though we beat Hawthorn they just went on a run and it would have been a massive upset if weād beaten them. I remember dad being more celebrating of making the grand final the week rather than any expectation of winning. He went absolutely nuts when we briefly hit the lead, albeit by one point. He got excited after the first goal in the second quarter then it was just a huge disappointment the rest of the day. He told us making it was no mean feat and to take it for what it was. I never thought weād wait so long for our next one. To me, 2000 was even more disappointing.

We made a late rush and only just qualified by winning our last game and hawks JUST beating cats. Weād been pretty inconsistent all year. I still say that even if Bucks hadnāt kicked that goal and weād made it, we never would have beaten Carlton in the grand final. Weād lost easily to them and would have been without Wilson, Lyon and Flower. Still hurts though

Iām saying what the papers are saying. We are THE favourites.

This is the best Iāve ever seen us. This is the first time in my lifetime that we are the premiership favourites. Sure weāve had other great season like in 2000, but that was a year when Essendon was always going to be premiers. I donāt think thereās any team we canāt beat this year. Definitely our best season since 1964

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
I thought we were done in the first half. So glad we didnāt just fall in a hole and give up. Well deserved win again one of the giants in the league atm. Had to get up early to watch the replay as I was a bit drunk last night. Really enjoyed the game. Petracca back to his best, TMac still on his amazing return to form, Kozzie tried hard and Oliver was great, even if a teeny bit subdued from recent form. Great game demons, keep it up.

Bayley Fritsch
I saw what he said in the club website. Heās not bothered by being relocated and theyāre up for the challenge. Maybe people need to settle down a bit. Our players are confident and thatās the most important thing. Weāre in a good position at the moment and I think we can keep it up

Where will we play the Lions?
I donāt want it to be either. But if if it was that or nothing, I know whatād I see. I mean a lot of people may not even be able to go if we make it regardless where it was held. Look at it like this. Win a cup there then back it up with one at home. I am hoping that this will just be a short one like earlier this year. If everyone follows rules this might be temporary

Where will we play the Lions?
Richmond did it and so can we

What they're saying down at Barkly Street
You get good and bad fans. I was surprised after they won in 2016, how many people in the FootscrayNotWesternBulldogs forums were saying how much theyād love to see us and St Kilda win one next: ā Spot on Elsternwick Pierre- everyone's 2nd team it is like the saying - "With all due respect to...." Well no need for that anymore, personally I would like the 2017 Grand Final to be - Melbourne v St Kilda and who ever loses that Grand Final, to bounce back in 2018 and win it. Then again 4 in a row would be alright to, but i am not greedy. Once Melbourne and St Kilda have both won it, then its back to "every man for himself" ā

My 3 word player analysis V Bulldogs
I think Kozzie needs to relax a bit. Every time the ball comes heās so anxious to get it and kick it immediately. I think he tries too hard. I like his enthusiasm but he needs to tone it down. You canāt do something spectacular every time you touch the ball

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
Lol loved how we dropped one game by one point last week and the people suggesting that our season was over. A great win. All game we never look threatened and led all night. Clarry, Harmes, Sparrow, what can I say? Brilliant. Gawn improving too. A lazy last quarter where we only scored one point, but a great game to watch. We proved we can beat the top teams. Bring on Brisbane. Surely Footscray are no longer premiership favourites. Top of the ladder back where we belong ??

GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs
Ok Iām sure this has been asked before but why arenāt we wearing our indigenous jumpers?
-
Why we wont win a grand final soon
I think we have a better chance than we did on 2000 or 1988. Long way to go, but apart from Port and Footscray, weāve beaten the top teams

An idea for a new product
I canāt speak for all, but most of us will wear a cardy in the winter and a sleeveless top in summer

An idea for a new product
āBullocksā? Not women who like style. I wouldnāt wear a shirt at a formal situation under any circumstance
