a single goal he kicked in a fairly low pressure situation does not define his kicking ability we don't really need jayden. trade bait.
  2. Congrats mate! My wife and I are expecting our first child (daughter) right after the grand final - I'm also taking this as an omen. I'm slightly concerned that if we are to make it to the grand final my anxiety alone will probably put my wife in labor, let alone how I'd be on the day. I'd hate to have the watch the game in the delivery room on an iPad!
  3. Good point, but he offers far more physical presence and can provide slightly better match ups IMO I think I'd be happy with Spargo out for Smith. Young fella has had the run in the finals he earned, its now Joel's turn.
  4. Depends what your metrics are for "playing well" For mine, scoring effectively is certainly one. It certainly has a pretty big impact on the result of the game in most cases!
  5. A deliciously archaic request Brings me right back!

Wonderful game. Makes the hogan trade talk very interesting.
  7. Oh god am I hungover. It feels good somehow. i love this football club

Genuine forward. Stood up big time today. Keen to see more
  9. OK I am incredibly nervous. I know we should win tonight. If we play the brand of the last 2 games, we win easily IMO. I feel like the walls in my office are closing in on me. I need to get out of here, drink beer, and prepare myself for the most important game I have seen us play since I was 13 years old (our last grand final). GO YOU GOOD THINGS DEE'S!!!!!!

Dee's by 30+, Tmac 5, Clarry 40+, Frost to hurt Hawkins

True. But I like the fact we are relevant again. I've had so much to read this week its been fantastic!

Gee I hope we don't lose badly tonight ...
  13. Thanks for the photos. What brand of toaster did you use to capture these images?
  14. oppo supporters would be frothing at mouth wandering over to DL and seeing threads like this haha
  15. My only issue with this list is where Jones sits. If we are talking pure football ability, I wouldn't have thought he'd make top 5, but in the scope of this thread that's irrelevant anyway. Fritter surely isn't in our bottom 6? He's proven to be highly skillful and incredibly versatile. He plays tall and his kicking is well above average. IMO our bottom 6 are: JKH, Spargo, VDB, Frost, ANB and Hannan. All of which are significantly better than Geelongs bottom 6. Dee's by 30+
  16. Unless he was snorting lines right before the game (and a cheeky one at half time), it ain't performance enhancing
  17. Yeah I don't disagree with the requirement, but what makes you think a bloke who could be first string at multiple clubs would want to sit around waiting for Gawn to get injured?
  18. Exactly. He could be 1st string elsewhere
  19. Probably a no for me. We are tall enough already, and I think max has really got his body right this season shape wise and I’m tipping he stays up long term.
  20. Of course you are, as am I to be baffled by it. What’s your point?

"The games gone past him. He's hopeless. Should not get a game." *retires* "What a shame! Thanks Bernie we love you! Get fit for the grand final!" Seriously though - Bernie made a choice to help this club in bad times and we should forever be appreciative of that. He was clearly slowling down this year and the end was upon him - but he gave this club the first sparks of hope we we arrived and I hope he sticks around the club. I'll miss him for sure. Cheers Bernie!
  22. How anyone here gets angry about Clayton being selected AA but starting on the bench is baffling. Find something else to whinge about on news.com.au or something
  23. Tmac for me - embodies the notion that hard work pays off. He sets a great example on and off the field for the group. Apologies to Harmes, Clarry, Gawn and Nev
