  1. OK I am incredibly nervous. I know we should win tonight. If we play the brand of the last 2 games, we win easily IMO. I feel like the walls in my office are closing in on me. I need to get out of here, drink beer, and prepare myself for the most important game I have seen us play since I was 13 years old (our last grand final). GO YOU GOOD THINGS DEE'S!!!!!!
  2. Dee's by 30+, Tmac 5, Clarry 40+, Frost to hurt Hawkins
  3. True. But I like the fact we are relevant again. I've had so much to read this week its been fantastic!
  4. Gee I hope we don't lose badly tonight ...
  5. Thanks for the photos. What brand of toaster did you use to capture these images?
  6. oppo supporters would be frothing at mouth wandering over to DL and seeing threads like this haha
  7. My only issue with this list is where Jones sits. If we are talking pure football ability, I wouldn't have thought he'd make top 5, but in the scope of this thread that's irrelevant anyway. Fritter surely isn't in our bottom 6? He's proven to be highly skillful and incredibly versatile. He plays tall and his kicking is well above average. IMO our bottom 6 are: JKH, Spargo, VDB, Frost, ANB and Hannan. All of which are significantly better than Geelongs bottom 6. Dee's by 30+
  8. Unless he was snorting lines right before the game (and a cheeky one at half time), it ain't performance enhancing
  9. Yeah I don't disagree with the requirement, but what makes you think a bloke who could be first string at multiple clubs would want to sit around waiting for Gawn to get injured?
  10. Probably a no for me. We are tall enough already, and I think max has really got his body right this season shape wise and I’m tipping he stays up long term.
  11. Of course you are, as am I to be baffled by it. What’s your point?
  12. "The games gone past him. He's hopeless. Should not get a game." *retires* "What a shame! Thanks Bernie we love you! Get fit for the grand final!" Seriously though - Bernie made a choice to help this club in bad times and we should forever be appreciative of that. He was clearly slowling down this year and the end was upon him - but he gave this club the first sparks of hope we we arrived and I hope he sticks around the club. I'll miss him for sure. Cheers Bernie!
  13. How anyone here gets angry about Clayton being selected AA but starting on the bench is baffling. Find something else to whinge about on news.com.au or something
  14. Tmac for me - embodies the notion that hard work pays off. He sets a great example on and off the field for the group. Apologies to Harmes, Clarry, Gawn and Nev
  15. Firmly tongue in cheek comment
  16. I wouldn’t mind seeing watts again as a rookie after port drops him
  17. Deceiving title for an Mfcss sufferer, but yep he’s killing it. Just what we needed too.
  18. Sounds about right TBH. Nev a little stiff to miss. Full seasons to Tmac and Brayshaw and I reckon they may have got the nod
  19. We don't necessarily need the picks - but first round picks are great currency to trade into getting the finishing touches we actually need in other parts of the ground, i.e an established, classy outside mid. And that's my point - if the Weed is deemed suitable to be our #1 target up forward at the end of the season, then why not at least consider trading Hogan for picks, and then trading those picks to fill gaps elsewhere? It's all just food for thought at the moment, I'm certainly not in the "we must trade hogan" camp, but if there's a chance trading him will put us in a net better position then I'd certainly give it thought. Let's see if the Weed shows signs he can be that guy first though. Then the convo is worth actually having.
  20. It's probably too early to make this call. If the weed plays out of his skin and shows us to be what we all hope him to be in the finals, then I see no issue making inquiries re: getting 2 first rounders for Jesse. Jesse is no doubt a great player, but he's not worth more than 2 first rounders in a super draft if the weed holds his own in September.
  21. As someone who fought this battle as a teenager and won, I sincerely hope he can break through. Problem is, it appears he doesn't even want to, so what can you do really. Maybe the media could give it a rest and let him kill himself in peace perhaps.
  22. unsure what a 34 year old from an average club would do for us. huge no for mine.
  23. I think Oliver is a given. It's like saying the sun is hot.
