That would have been nuts. We are on FIRE. Let's use it and really give them something to worry about at 3Q time.

The Blues will 100% be feeling the loss coming now. The predictability of them falling over in the last will be front of mind. If we can snag another couple and draw even? They're toast. We are running hard.

FRITTER!! ok. Breathe. Just need to claw back another 1-2 (or more?) and we’re only 1-2 goals down at 3Q time. Aside from us having the ascendancy, the blues will doubt themselves 100% and will play on their minds. We should have them. But the next 5 minutes crucial

If we can drag it ti 2-3 goals down at 3Q I think we can run them over. Plenty of time.

YYYYYYEEESSSSSSSS JVR’s development has been stunted because he has a) had terrible delivery and b) thrown into the ruck too much. New coach and here he is… in the ruck!!!

We ‘won’ that quarter and squandered chances we should have converted. At least the effort rate increased. All we need now is to come out with the same/better intensity, take our chances and hope that Th e blues deliver their second half special. Which is a sad thing to hope for, really.

Freo showed us where we are right now. Way too fumbly and just generally outrun by a much better team. At least we kept running and trying, I’ll take an 8 goal loss. Last week the kids (and Maxy) gave us cause for excitement, and this week it was the old boys who kept us in it. We will lose a fair bit this year, so we just gotta dust ourselves off and try again. We should be able to bounce back against the blues.

11 goals down, we CAN do this… It’s not even a goal a minute. Way more luxury than that. Seriously though, just show some heart boys and keep this respectable. Was always going to be a tough ask tonight. But if we’re going to build with this team, we need to start building one that keeps fighting until the last siren.

Here’s King’s first big challenge. Goody was criticised, and rightly so, for just watching games play out with no changes. What are we going to do here? Can’t let freo run away with 100pt win, because that’s very possible right now.

Back to Q1 deficit. All the good work gone, that’s a shame. Boys have to man up now and not let this get away from us. We will lose lots of games this year, but it’s important we lose them the right way and learn from them (sorry, learnings…)

Not really the start to the half we wanted, both on the scoreboard and skills wise.

Those freo goals aside our fight back was good, not sure we would have seen it last year after starting a game so poorly. Pity we couldn’t close out the the half 20 down. We’re actually still in this, just got to keep them accountable, take our chances and can’t afford those late mistakes.

Agree, previously he's looked a little lost in play, struggling to get involved - tbf he's just a kid barely 20 games in and that's not a problem of itself, but it looks like the way in for him (as Kingy, praise be, has identified), is having a specific task and opponent to get involved straight away. In time he'll learn to read the play better, I reckon he'll go alright. He's got the right attitude. We need that.

I'm gonna back the big guy in for 10. It's a much nicer number.
