  1. Heart ❤️ Chin up, boys. Great effort. Something to build upon for the future.
  2. Great job Koz and Petty
  3. Doggies are fighting for their year here Gonna take some magic to get past them I think. We need someone like Koz to step up and do something special.
  4. Kamikaze footy. If we can’t make the finals, there might be some joy in busting some other team’s joy lol. God knows we’ve been on the other end of it haha. Let’s just end this season the way we want to start 2026.
  5. Any chance we catch on to naughton kicking the first in a quarter??
  6. Sad for Goody, you could/can see how much he cares about the club and those sorts of people are hard to come by. We can talk all day about whether he was the right man for the job this/next year, but none of that changes the joy he brought to the club. We will always have that pure euphoria of 2021. The bang bang bang. The most devastating qtr of footy in a GF ever. Maybe even finals series. But for whatever reason Goody AND the club/ players just could not get things to click in the last two years. We could have won a flag in ‘23 if not for some bad luck. Fight me. He did right by us and he’s a Dee for life as far as I’m concerned, regardless of where he goes next. And he will land OK. Sad for Goody and the ‘what might have been’ had it clicked next year. I love a good redemption story, but we won’t get it now.
  7. I believe Goody came to love the club (and was loved by the players) and led us to much success as stated above. I'll kind of miss that (sometimes) frustrating smirk/zen state following the games! All the best Goody, thank you for helping us climb back into relevance and, of course, our drought-breaking flag.
  8. Presser did not indicate a mutual agreement departure... Very uncomfortable viewing at times, felt for Goody. I believe he loves the club and feels we are headed in the right direction (whether you or I agree in full/part/not at all), and handled himself extremely well in the circumstances. Which is not surprising given his cool, calm (sometimes frustratingly so) manner following games.
  9. Garry Lyon was quoted as saying there's no chance he will have a farewell game... so who knows?
  10. Agree. I am not against the argument that Simon is no longer the man for the job. My opinion is he doesn't have the gameday nous and has failed to keep up with where the game is at. Just felt it could have been an end of year thing since it's less than a month away. Norm's sacking was nuts.
  11. Firstly, very interesting Secondly, lol, you have plenty of material you can draw from 🤣
  12. 100% - and it all comes back to the culture and psyche of this club. We will never be great, again, until we fix that. Really fix it. Disheartening to try to make sense of this club sometimes!
  13. If the thesis is on explaining this club (please do), then you have more material!
  14. It's all fine. It's not like sacking a premiership coach has ever haunted us. (Right decision or not - the manner/timing in which the call was made) Curses aren't real Curses aren't real Curses aren't real...
  15. From Gleeson's article: "Goodwin’s departure is unlikely to be the last significant personnel change at the club".
  16. That's the only plausible explanation. Hopefully. And not just a completely kneejerk reaction to calls of us being rudderless etc and Greeny just trying to act presidential.
  17. Yep, the whole thing stinks. Shows where we are at the moment. How can we perform on the field if we can't/won't do this stuff right?
  18. Not after the Saints game, but after we smashed the Eagles? Why now? Big boy interim president Green trying to be presidential? So strange. Whether you were on board with sacking Goody or not, with 3 games to go, you reckon you just ride it out and part ways at the end of 2025 - you know, in 3 games' time - which is a respectful way of ending the gig for our first premiership coach in 57 years. I am just not sure what message this sends?? Were we supposed to win by 100+ last week?? This shows the club is a mess behind closed doors.
  19. Currently foetal
  20. lol trust me I said it with sarcasm as deep as the mental scars 🤣
  21. 50 points up… should be enough? 🤣
  22. LOVE TO SEE IT 🔥❤️
  23. I’m so conflicted today. I want us to respond, I really do, we need to. But if we smash the bottom team which has only won a single game for this year, I’m not sure it will tell us much. I should hope we beat the eagles, in Melbourne. I’m no grouch, I’ll take the win and it’s much, much better than another embarrassing loss, but I hope they take it in perspective and play 4 quarters against the doggies next week, because we’re going to need it!! We need to find the pieces for 2026, whether that be Culley, or a new coach, or modified game plan, whatever, but hopefully today just shows a piece or two, irrespective of the outcome. having said that, as always, go Dees ❤️
