  1. WHAT A GOALLLLLLLLLLLL โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™
  2. So good to see Roo lead up and take a nice mark and kick well. Great delivery, good goal. Hope thereโ€™s more to come from the big guy this year.
  3. Ok checkers makes up for it, but that all belongs to Windsor. Gun. Has been so good today.
  4. What a mess. That was DIABOLICAL from checkers.
  5. Nas illegal disposal but ok
  6. Checkers would have kicked that against us lol
  7. Agree with the general sentiments regarding Clarry. He was good, but not THAT good. Not even very good? I think (surprise surprise) the media is just looking for any opportunity to frame this as (solely) a Melbourne problem - i.e. those 2 guys are now blitzing it elsewhere (so it must have been us). Clarry played much like that in 2025, and I don't remember the media applauding him then? Clarry was just nowhere near his best. AND it's just the start. Let's see him string a few of those together once the novelty of a new club/point to prove wears off. And the fitness/lack of is tested. And he's put under pressure by an opponent. Don't get me wrong, I was a huge Clarry fan. And in a vacuum I still wish he was with us, but I didn't see anything that made me think we will miss out. I'd rather the kids we have on deck, who are hungry and look fit. There's the future. Trac, on the other hand, was very good. But we know most/some of the issue was not his ability as such. Although I wish he had hit more of our guys on the chest like that, but that could/likely points back to the guys we had leading for the ball!
  8. How good is it having a pre-game thread again!? They're always filled with such hope, promise and excitement - moreso this one given we're close to our first game of the year. A clean slate. Lots of kids out there. And as of now, WE ARE UNDEFEATED!!!
  9. Whatever you think about Maysie's more colourful moments, the truth is we don't have a flag without him. Simple. One of the best full backs in many, many years. Watching him and Lever hold teams to peanuts week in, week out, was a joy. A ruthless warrior on the field, he often led the way - I will never forget him almost winning that '23 semi-final against the blues, by himself. Go well, Maysie. Thank you.
  10. Really bummed for this kid, man he's had some rotten luck. BUT, silver linings, could have been worse, so hopefully we see him out soon because I reckon he's gonna go great.
  11. Completely agree with all of that. For all the 'gee the Dees don't have Clarry, Viney or Trac' there this year, well, yeah, but having them there last year (and the year before) didn't do much for us, anyway... I reckon the kids will be great - being thrown into it, is the BEST way to learn. With the other 3 there, their opportunities will be limited. Not anymore. They have skills and now a golden opportunity. We will lose a bit this year (again, that reality already set in last year), but now we will lose with promise of the next game and building towards something. I think we will surprise a few. Seriously.
  12. I am not sure too many picked up on that. Socials team/person absolutely cooking right now.
  13. Really excited about this one. And 2026, in general. Don't know why. Not sure if it's deluded, baseless optimism, or a survival mechanism necessary for some of us, but so much seems fresh for next year. Lots of kids out there who will be hungry. And some of our favourites still there to guide the next gen. I think we will be a bit of a surprise packet and annoying to play against. Because of guys like this.
  14. I can certainly see merit in the argument/view that Clarry should have said goodbye to his fans. Many of us supported him throughout, and particularly during trying times. Some of us wrote to the club to ask/ensure we wrap our arms around him. We did a lot for him but I think it's also fair to say the club has also made some mistakes. And we don't know everything. So, yeah I would have loved for him to say thanks and catch ya later. BUT Not everyone is the same. Clarry does not strike me as a big talker/vocal type (and certainly do not see him posting much on socials), so truthfully, in the little I know of him, it does not surprise me in the least that he has not penned a thoughtful goodbye. Given the unideal circumstances of his departure, it might all be a bit for raw for someone who seems to be very emotional and is likely still processing it all. Probably still feels hurt, whether or not all of it is valid is irrelevant. It's how he feels. Maybe one day, when it all settles, he'll write us a goodbye/thanks. If he does, great. If he doesn't, it won't change a thing, at least for me. Still my favourite player to ever wear our colours. I appreciated the human, vulnerable side to him more than anyone else, and nothing will take away from the Bang Bang Bang... BANG. A club legend. I wish him well, and who knows, maybe one day he'll come back and chat with us. Seems like he'd be good for a little yarn in a quiet setting without the cameras and leeches.
  15. Agree he's not walk-up, but we need guys with his enthusiasm. Thought his few games with us he showed a lot, really took his opportunity and would say the opportunities will keep him motivated to try and lock down a spot. I think he can.
  16. One of the ones I am most excited about. With a few somewhat unplanned vacancies, he has a really good opportunity here and I imagine will lock down a spot. Love the way he goes about it.
  17. That's awesome! I am trying. I get her listening to some of the gateway metal acts I think work well (Mastodon, Gojira, Ghost, Baroness etc). And she puts up with my preferred stylings around the home, as I am training our little ones (2yo and 6yo haha) (I am mostly a black metal/atmo black/some death), so they get all of that plus the stuff I grew up on. They're getting there! My wife is making good progress ๐Ÿคฃ
  18. Agree! haha and that would be amazing (from a great album) - but to fair I doubt most would understand the lyrics anyway (my wife is always asking me how I understand the growls), so we might get away with it!
  19. YES! Fen of Shadows is one of my fav album openers ever.
  20. 100% We need more Amys, and these gigs is one of the places where they're created.
  21. Oof, Amy and co gonna tear up that space, what a great gig!
  22. Ok, I'm convinced. Let's get Sully.
  23. Thought he was worth another year, go well son of Woe. I feel like we've kind of burnt the Woes twice now... :-(
  24. Welcome, CJ! While many have noted some areas for development (decision-making/disposals) (and I agree), he is not alone there! I think the whole team should be working very hard on their skills and decision-making in the offseason. That said, what CJ does have is speed, dare, x-factor and will make a lot of fans quickly. The rest can be improved in time. We can build with guys like CJ.
