  1. 100% - there's a lot of value to be added, that they are missing!!! They're still stuck on BT and co screaming inanities and fawning over players, without adding substance (because they generally don't have any substance).
  2. Probably not a true tag, as the stats show. And that is also likely because Clarry was given the freedom to punish the other way, too, and still play his own brand - 7 clearances, 5 score involvements and 1 goal. They are not tagging stats, but I would say his impact on Neale curtailed his influence, not necessarily his ability to get the ball (which as a dual brownlow medallist, is going to be a given). Neale was certainly around, and got the ball, but did not have his normal impact on the game, which goes a long way for Brisbane wins. And that's thanks to our boy, Claz. But you're right, not a true tag haha
  3. Definitely his best game since return. And the thing is, this is what should have been expected from him in the first place - that after such a significant set of injuries, it was always going to take time for him to find his feet, form and trust his body. I dare say he is still near the start of that joruney. He's only going to get better.
  4. How much better is winning, than losing? 🤣
  5. LOL - "Aidan Johnson is madder than a cut snake" - we need players like that. And completely agree re Melk.
  6. 1 million votes: 4 qtr effort full of grit and heart. 6 Melksham 5 Kozzie 4 Bowza 3 Maxxy 2 Rivdog 1 Oliver (arguably Trac or Langdon get this position, but playing an unfamiliar role, and doing a good job on Neale, but also still getting involved in the game - and his desperate tap-on goal assist in particular, which we really needed, got him over for me. Great to see him working through form and looking happier) Special mentions to: Trac, Langdon and Lindsay.
  7. Yep, a settled forward line is not something we have had for a long, long time. 5 weeks together would do wonders.
  8. We have to take games one at a time, to make sure we respect our opponents and not get to ahead of ourselves. ...BUT, with the Swans (definitely winnable, although they place us well on the G) and the Saints (super winnable), we could be 6-6 by the time we reach the Pies - who are playing well, but not THAT well. And we could be 6-1 by then (and the Hawks game, for me, was a missed opportunity, we had them on toast for 3 quarters but could not convert), so lots of momentum and belief. We are playing much better and certainly an upward trajectory. But, for now, the only thing on our minds should be the Swans. We can certainly take them on our home turf, playing like we did today.
  9. We are indeed not dead. The rise from the ashes continues.
  10. Any other player and I say shank. But because it's Melk - and he has unparalleled vision and creativity in our f50, I say intentional.
  11. If we had kept even just one of them, I reckon we would have won. If we had kept two, we would have won it for sure. And we still miss Gus more than has been truly articulated.
  12. My 6yo (who got his first membership this year) has sung the song about 80 times since the last siren. What a sight. That's why we follow these things - as silly as it may all be some time - a bunch of strangers running around an oval, eliciting these big emotions. Getting us all riled up, excited, euphoric and broken, sometimes all in a minute. Then we run out, the underdogs, with the footy world and media having written us off. Our culture scrutinised every single moment. And we claim the win. Away from home. The song sung louder than it has in a long time. This is why we share these moments with our loved ones. Go Dees ❤️
  13. You know, had we converted against the Hawks last week - we had them on toast - and won, we would be just outside the 8 on percentage only. Instead we're 1 win + %, but that's nothing in the scheme of a long season and we're still in the front 9. Looks like we're winding up and the team is starting to believe. With Viney and Lever back, that'll just about be the best, and most settled team we can put forward. With a consistent team, gaining in belief and fitness, who knows?
  14. Learnings: 4 quarters of high pressure footy, teamwork and never-say-die footy is a winning combo!!! ❤️
  15. Side note only and it's been said ad nauseam but WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH TRAC'S SET SHOTS???
  16. Bowza has been immense all year. Consistent and confident.
  17. AJ is rough, but a proud and passionate guy who will give 100% Serious x factor. , I think we should
  18. That's the work of someone who is enjoying his footy and loves his club.
  19. If Melk is ever out of this team again (unless rested, I get it), we riot. Massive performance today. And I love that Melk was instrumental in another win over the Lions.
  20. WE ARE NOT DEAD!! Great performance by the boys. We played 4 (FOUR) quarters and wholeheartedly deserve the win. Imagine if we had finished off the Hawks last week, as we should have!? We would be 5-0. Ah well. This week proves that last week and our last month is trending UP WE ARE BACK, BABY!!! So proud ❤️💙
  21. We could have done with Lindsay's goal. Let's get it back, boys!!!
  22. MY MAN MELK Classy operator, such a rare, skilled talent That goal is his. LET'S ROMP THIS IN, LET'S ROMP
  23. Hope Fritter is ok! (Wish he slotted that, though)
  24. If Melskam is ever omitted from this team again (I know he was rested last week). ... we riot.
  25. WE JUST NEED TO TAKE OUR CHANCES WE CAN WIN THIS WE BELIEVE
