Likes not having to pay for luggage trolleys at Adelaide Airport. Will go to the Crows.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Yeah, I have nary a clue what the club has in mind for him. But those glimpses I referred to were in his games against the Bombers and Dockers, where he was playing (well) in our inside 50. And his first kick/goal for the Dees against Geelong was a very impressive start!

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Do we have any faith that with a pre-season with the club under his belt, Jay Lockhart could be groomed for the small forward role? Heās shown some genuine glimpses of the exact kinda thing we need. This year would have been a whirlwind for him. A chance to steady and train properly with his teammates this summer could do wonders. Fingers crossed, anyway.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
I shudder to think what would be being said about him on this forum if he had the season he just had at the Ds.

Farewell Sam Frost
I just love that itās short for āspectacularā. Our long history of shortening words within an inch of their lives then sticking a āyā on the end, got off to a roaring start.

Those speccys though, Dr. Gonzo. Those speccys. (Is that how you spell āspeccyā? Doesnāt look right. Speckys? Speckees??)

Thereās a lot in that statement though, isnāt there. Not suggesting itās incorrect. But itās one of many examples that illustrates that the fulfilment of a playerās potential is not down to the player alone, but the club as well. Collingwood managed what Melbourne couldnāt.

THE MYSTERY OF DRAFT PICK 3?
That first set-shot that almost went out on the full must have gotten those kinky buggers on the Melbourne selection committee salivating.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Not stoked by the notion of losing those two. If itās true that AB was carrying a back injury through most of the season, hopefully next year he regains his form and then some. Weāre all hoping CP is going to have a breakthrough year next year, and it would be preferable for him to have it in a Demons guernsey.

Righto. āHave a bex and a lie downā is a pretty jovial bit of repartee in my neighbourhood, but Iāll just make a note in the diary here... (...no lighthearted and/or nostalgic references to ācalming downā)

If there was a button that shared half your school-lunch with another poster Iād hit that, but for now Iāll just hit āthanksā. ??

Thatās an interesting perspective. Iāve tried to think of more players, but Iām a little stumped. Had Jesse Hogan reached a new level this year, he might have been a contender. Alas, he did not.

Hey, whatās the deal with the aggro here? I make a pretty harmless observation (sure, it might not have been an accurate one), some guy jumps down my throat and six of you pile on with the ālikesā. Am I not in the Cool Club?

For sure. I guess I couldāve said āI wonder if that flare-up was the catalyst for a decisionā. And yes, that decision may very well have been the clubās, not his.

Well, actually I was just positing an idea that his on-field altercation with another player -an altercation that had a couple of articles written about it, mind you - might have played a role in the whole story. Not suggesting it was the principal cause by any stretch. Also Iām just sitting here, pondering a fairly insignificant-in-the-scheme-of-things story about a player in a team I support, and just generally passing the time. I guess thatās cause for laughter?

Canāt stop thinking about that flare-up between him and May at the GABBA. I wonder if he decided to leave then nā there.

Keith āBlueyā Truscott Trophy 2019
Finally got around to watching this. Regarding NJ: āHeās lead the club with a great legacyā. Nathan must be quite touched by that delightful little word-salad from his coach. Especially when delivered in such a passionate way. I was very disappointed when we took on Goodwin. Anyone that followed the Essendon saga closely, was struggling to believe weād actually reward his behaviour during that period, with such an appointment at our club. I thought that there must have been something particularly ingenious or incredible going on there for us to overlook such a serious transgression (along with the rest of his chequered past). After watching that cyborg struggle through another public address, Iām now going to wholeheartedly embrace these few months until he reappears to frustrate the living hell out of me. Oh well. As the person in question muttered in an entirely uninspiring and unconvincing manner at the end of his speech... ...go dees...

Adem Yze - Assistant Coach?
I find it incredibly strange that somebody would want that information out there. I would find it quite awkward knowing that my colleague was āsorrowfulā they couldnāt be elsewhere.

Adem Yze - Assistant Coach?
Well, letās see which clubs are looking for a new coach soon then, hey?

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Yes, itās been quietly astonishing to notice certain supporters go from āfist in the airā to ācap in handā within the space of a year. Most undignified.
