  1. Care to share?
  2. Jay Lockhart doesn’t seem to make it on anyone’s lists ??‍♂️. At least deserves the title of “developing”.
  3. No, there are no Bs apparently. There are some B+ and B- players, but Gary has decreed there to be no B players. Don’t question his system.

It’s pretty well documented that the players’ collective-favourite author is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, so that checks out.
  5. This is a compliment, right? Just checkin’.
  6. ??? Isn’t he only contracted for four more seasons?
  7. Extremely underwhelming and at times surprisingly horrible to watch. Very good intercept mark, yeah. But some of his Incredibly expensive disposals have been sub-Casey level. So far his appointment has been a quiet disaster. Obviously, we all hope that improves.
  8. Nah, was just being a silly bugger. Look, he might not set too many games on fire but I reckon he’ll be a lot more a reassuring presence on the ground than a few of the players we sent out there this year.
  9. He’s also a Demon now, and therefore one of your/our favourite players.
  10. It’s not Jake Stringer on the hunt for forty-four new mates is it? He’s kicked most of his goals against Melbourne ?
  11. Yeah, I like how much pluck and ambition he’s shown just getting on the ground this year. He’s clearly very driven and naturally talented. All this and yet to do a pre-season with the club. I can’t help but feel he could really impress all of us grumpy fux next year.
  12. https://youtu.be/U1TAkyJXt7o Apologies for being slightly obsessed with this idea of late, but what do y’all with your learned opinions think about this guy (JL) filling the above-mentioned role? (Also how do you embed a video properly?)

Lockhart is going to have a good couple of years. Any developments on Mr. Sokol?
  14. Yeah, I’m not exactly sure what the point of such a post is. Regardless, I’m hoping this person you’re talking about is a fit and rejuvenated Mark Jackson.

I still think it would send a powerful message.

Maybe a nice Demonland group activity could be to go down to Goschs Paddock this summer and build a dunny together.

    Jay Lockhart ??

    There’s that backpack, Redlegs.

Likes not having to pay for luggage trolleys at Adelaide Airport. Will go to the Crows.
  20. Yeah, I have nary a clue what the club has in mind for him. But those glimpses I referred to were in his games against the Bombers and Dockers, where he was playing (well) in our inside 50. And his first kick/goal for the Dees against Geelong was a very impressive start!
  21. Do we have any faith that with a pre-season with the club under his belt, Jay Lockhart could be groomed for the small forward role? He’s shown some genuine glimpses of the exact kinda thing we need. This year would have been a whirlwind for him. A chance to steady and train properly with his teammates this summer could do wonders. Fingers crossed, anyway.
  22. I shudder to think what would be being said about him on this forum if he had the season he just had at the Ds.
  23. I just love that it’s short for ‘spectacular’. Our long history of shortening words within an inch of their lives then sticking a ‘y’ on the end, got off to a roaring start.
  24. Those speccys though, Dr. Gonzo. Those speccys. (Is that how you spell “speccy”? Doesn’t look right. Speckys? Speckees??)
  25. There’s a lot in that statement though, isn’t there. Not suggesting it’s incorrect. But it’s one of many examples that illustrates that the fulfilment of a player’s potential is not down to the player alone, but the club as well. Collingwood managed what Melbourne couldn’t.
