Round 8, 2017 vs Adelaide. He ran full-tilt into the shoulder of Crouch and was out cold. I’m not sure if I buy the idea that he lost his mojo due to that incident though. He played solid games after that. I think we’re just looking at a textbook form-slump.

Though I’m not going to argue with much you said, you can’t call that (magnificent) torp a fluke. He did exactly what he aimed to do. You can say it’s a fluke when someone connects for the perfect torpedo, or you can say they just did it exactly right. Anyway, that’s all very much in the past. As for the future, I hope he finds some form ‘cos he’s been a very dedicated player and seems like a top fella.

Well I mean, there’s still plenty of time to see if they were right or not. About three or so years. But let’s do hope they were wrong.

Thought Mitch played well too. Seemed to have a knack for finding the action and certainly held his own in a few contests. While we’re asking these things, who was number 49?

No Cunnington, Ziebel, Goldstein or Brown, among others. Pretty important pieces of their puzzle, right there. Mind you, we were much the same as far as key players missing was concerned.

He played, and played well at times. Copped a couple of big knocks, but came off unscathed. Think he was just getting his engine started, really. He’s gonna be great for us this year.

As others have pointed out, there is no need for Viney to feel bummed about this. He’s gone from being a co-captain amongst a significantly-sized leadership group, to being one of only two people with official leadership-status in the club. Nothing for a tough dude to feel crestfallen over.

If his foot becomes an issue again maybe we could just plant him in the midfield, doing this all day.

Couldn’t get the grin off my face watching that. Man, I really hope Harley runs onto the ground in the red and blue this year. I almost don’t care what happens after that. It clearly means more to him than we could ever truly understand. And just watching them go so hard at it; I honestly don’t know what more a team can do. If success doesn’t come to the club this year, you cannot say that it was due to a lack of effort and commitment going into the season. Pros - Every AFL game both live and on demand. Solid selection of AFL- related programming and also classic games, for a dose of nostalgia (I watched the ‘86 Vic vs WA game the other day - still tragic). Obviously quite a lot of other sport on it too! Cons - They never broadcast my favourite NBA team’s games (Grizzlies) and my hard-earned goes toward purchasing more human growth hormone for Rupert Murdoch. If Telstra allowed me to screen-mirror via Apple TV I wouldn’t bother with it. But Telstra are adamant that all the broadcasts of their matches via the app must remain tiny to the eye.
