  1. Word is that Jake Lever’s favourite AFL player of all time is Jake Lever. The plus side to his “lowlights vs highlights” reel at the MFC being dramatically skewed in favour of the former, is that his ego might settle down a bit
  2. TMac? He shouldn’t take on such a task when his own skills and form are in constant need of attention. Also there’s the whole Jordan Peterson/IPA thing. Shudder. Trac? I really like him, but he’s too goofy to be skip. It’s a real drag that Angus didn’t capitalise on a great ‘18. Had he taken things up a notch he would have been a fine suggestion. Max for captain. On top of all the other obvious reasons why, it’ll also make it harder for him to go to another club. With that in mind, make Clayton Oliver president or something.
  3. Serious question: Is Simon Goodwin a bit... ...thick?
  4. Some pretty fascinating typos happening here
  5. I saw Alan Jones on Sunday in the Virgin lounge. All alone, sifting through the rubbish in his briefcase. He looked sad, bitter and delightfully moribund. Was tempted to provide him with some words to contemplate on his flight, but the withered existence he was barely living through seemed punishment enough.
  6. About as matter-of-fact as it gets. You should post more Billy Boy.
  7. Not that I plan on bailing myself, but I understand why some might. Yes, clubs need their supporters in times of need (which in the case of MFC is seemingly always). Supporters need premierships though. MFC supporters have been in a dysfunctional, all give/no take relationship for an infamously long time now, and I don’t blame some for wanting to pin a letter on the fridge.
  8. Surely you’re not suggesting this season was an improvement on last year’s?
  9. That pass by ABN was pretty bloody good (Are you allowed to say positive stuff about Nibbler on this website anymore?)
  10. May and Lever's biggest contributions so far have been spoiling marks by their own team mates. Let's hope this improves!
  11. All these people saying the Dogs have no forwards have t obviously been paying attention to Naughton. The young guy is a gun.
  12. I find this kind of self-perpetuating rhetoric pretty boring. Every supporter of every other AFL team pities us already. Do we really need to keep helping them along with our own self-pity?
  13. That ball drop in his kicking style almost begins at neck-level. If it was working I'd say leave it alone, but it really ain't. Otherwise I'm a fan and would hate to see him go.
  14. Shutting down Naughton is key next Sunday. He’s got a lot of confidence and is really enjoying showing the punters what he’s made of. May’s biggest test at the MFC so far.
  15. When we were staring down the barrel at a loss in that last quarter, I was starting to fantasise about merging with another club with a new name and a fresh beginning.
  16. Max's hit-outs are pretty sublime at times. Not sure I saw too much of that from Preuss today.
  17. Goodwin would've needed a change of underwear when the siren went. Preuss just needs a bit more fuel in the tank, which will hopefully get worked into him over the next few weeks. Hunt needs to believe in himself and go for the friggin' goal when the opportunity is there. Frost had moments of brilliance and moments of ill-disciplined stupidity that almost cost us the match. Needs to lose that aspect of his game now. Salem was kicking like some other guy today. Weid has some serious confidence issues, which have plagued him since that infamous missed goal a few weeks back. Could see him dropped next week, but for who? Harmes hasn't been his former electric-self for a while now. I'm just thinking out loud here.
  18. Real bummer about Marty Hore. Dunkley did pretty well for someone who's been in the big league for three weeks. Couple of classy feeds to the forwards under pressure. Sure, some pretty ugly disposals at times, but I can see him being a future Melksham.
  19. If MFC put our best player at risk of exacerbating his injury in a nothing game, in a nothing season, I will be livid.
