  1. No, I believe Demonstone indicated that the spiders will be spared from his amorous inclinations.
  2. Yeah I should note, this was the reason being touted by the commentators, but they were not exactly sounding confident.
  3. The best defence offered for that decision was that youā€™re not allowed to re-enter the play from out of the position you took the mark from.
  4. Just watching the game again (the perks of self employment), and watching Melksham and Huntā€™s games, itā€™s like weā€™ve been gifted two new gun players. Both seem determined to make up for lost opportunities last year, and that mindset combined with red-hot form couldnā€™t come at a better time. Melk shouldā€™ve had five if we overlook the rubbish BBB out-of-bounds call in the 3rd. Huge games from both of them. Now if we can just find Baileyā€™s on-switch, I feel like weā€™ve got some much-needed potency up forward.
  5. Threads should not be started lightly, and this the perfect example of why. There is no substance, no avenue for further discussion and no point to this thread. Itā€™s just you having an anxious and pessimistic moment and telling us about it.
  6. Iā€™m gonna buck the trend and say that we won that match in the best possible way. Winning clutch-style like that is huge for the teamā€™s confidence, and itā€™s massively important the boys know how to prevail in that kind of scenario. Finals will be full of tight games.
  7. So youā€™re saying that the only reason we won was because certain players in our team played football well?
  8. Trac getting loose on the mic.
  9. $2 Rat Coffin is a pretty sick deal.
  10. Losing all respect over a potentially missing comment? Harsh.
  11. Itā€™s basically Judge Judy at the AFL tribunal now. Whatever keeps the audience happy. We are going to lamp Carlton, regardless. I canā€™t wait.
  12. Dude is not going to fix his kicking within a week, nor the remaining ones. He needs a pre-season and a good tutor. His golden patch of shots-on-goal this time last year was 20% technique, 80% Vibe-Gods. The technique was always poor.
  13. Howā€™s thisā€¦ Basically my entire family barrack for Collingwood. Both parents, and three of my five siblings. Iā€™m the youngest of six, and the next up from me is my sister. Sheā€™s the only girl in the family and wanted to set herself apart from the boys, so she chose the Demons, then got the word into me when I was a kid. One of my other brothers supports a different team though... Geelong. Every time the Pies beat us I can feel all the ties that bind unravel. I see my lovely parents suddenly as toothless and my brothers all look like Joffa. Thankfully it doesnā€™t last too long.

I love our captain, but the less I have to watch him line up for set shots on goal, the longer my marriage will last.

Heā€™s far from a household name, but maybe my favourite living satirist. Hard to get past ā€œIā€™m Alan Partridgeā€ as my favourite thing heā€™s done.
  16. Wonder what Saty would make of all this.

Both shows created by the same person (Armando Iannuci). You might enjoy it.

    Anybody here watch ā€œVeepā€?
  19. Well, thatā€™s just a matter of taste. I personally find them a little on the objectionable side. (sorry, Iā€™ll just get my coatā€¦)
  20. @Demonstone Your response-time to a grammar infringement is quicker than the actual police.
  21. If itā€™s 12 nights post concussion then heā€™s good to go. But not sure if it is.
  22. I feel subconsciously attacked. šŸ˜† I think itā€™s pretty natural to be interested in outcomes such as these. And Iā€™ll go a step further and say I hope Cripps doesnā€™t play because itā€™s merely to our advantage. I donā€™t see whatā€™s wrong in hoping for any kind of advantage, however they may present themselves.
  23. Thereā€™s no way heā€™ll get off without suspension. Ah Chee was concussed, and if thereā€™s one thing the AFL doesnā€™t want to be seen being flippant about anymore itā€™s concussion. Ah Chee will miss a match next week, but Cripps gets to play? Absolutely no way.
  24. There was no problem bringing the ball to ground (I love this term for ā€œdropping marksā€) on Friday, and rarely were Pickett or Spargo to be found.
  25. Would love to drop Kozzie, but it seems heā€™s rusted on. Itā€™s getting to the stage for me where his gold-star cameos just donā€™t stack up against the amount of times he goes missing. And will Goodwin stick by ABN for next week? Probably, but bugger me, heā€™ll be lucky. Sparrow likely to get a rest. Gawn needs to spend the summer practicing set shots. He has the yips now, and theyā€™ll be hanging around during the finals, no doubt. Love his safe hands, but we need players running past him to take the shots on goal from now on. Fritsch needs to be the target, not the one outstretched hand of BBB. But Fritsch needs to frigginā€™ PRESENT. He is useless to everybody when he lurks at the back of a pack. Letā€™s get JVR on the ground next week.
