  1. Welcome back to the MFC Harley - 2 down a few more to get
  2. So what has he done? The only thing I'm ignoring is the internet rumors.
  3. 1/ What if he has been dabbling in a club that partied hard after its first premiership in 50 years - Was he the only one who partied hard? 2/ What if his partner was suffering from post natal depression and at the tender age of 22/3 he/she could not handle the strain - so his life started to fall apart? Let us now mix 1 and 2 together and you get a reason why he continually failed to turn up on time.
  4. If Macca said lets get him and he is prepared to commit 100% to us - good enough for me. What has he done? Has he murdered somebody? Are the Bulldogs partly to blame? Notice in all Binman's replies he actual never says what he did - Why? 6 other teams are interested in him - he must be an absolute culture killer for 6 other teams to be interested in him. But saying that Stringer will do his DD and go to the club prepared to give him the best deal - he owes the Dogs nothing.
  5. 1/ Is it possible the whole club partied hard after their first premiership in 50 years - do you call that a premiership hang-over? 2/ Is it possible Stringer was suffering from a family life where he had 2 children and a partner suffering from post natal depression and at the age of 23 was not mature enough to handle it? As the US band the Eagles say - Some dance to remember some dance to forget. We he dancing to do both - remember and forget?
  6. or 4/ None of the above There are up to 6 teams keen to speak with Stringer. But Binman has ruled him out and as of yet has failed to detail what he has done wrong. With all due respect to Binman if he has 6 AFL teams chasing him i trust their judgement long before all the huss, huss, wink, wink rumors online. Its time to be brave and bold, back yourself which I'm sure we will do if Stringer is prepared to commit to us. If he wont commit to us fine - I wish him all the best and trust Macca, Goody and the rest of our team.
  7. Every team in Victoria around the 8 will be all over Stringer - Essendon, Richmond, Geelong & Us - I would also not discount North & The Saints. Once Jake makes a decision where he wants to play we will know more. Again I'm happy to back Macca & the boys.
  8. Funny you should ask nothing to the media - He absolutely loves the kid and was prepared previously to back Stringer and himself when nobody else was - now they are facts. We are up to our eyeballs in this. But the decision is up to Jake - he must do his due diligence and speak with everyone - at the young age of 23 he has two kids and an ex-partner to support. But I bet you one thing - Jake Stringer will be on an AFL list in 2018.
  9. Exactly, and not one of them has the balls to front up and tell us what he ( Stringer ) actually did - wrong. Its all anonymous innuendo, nudge, nudge, wink wink fake rumors and they have an "idea" . Yeah, yeah, yeah, blah, blah, blah. Oh, thats right "he, threatened the culture" - there holier than thou views make me laugh. I'm prepared to back Macca one way or another.
  10. We can agree to disagree. Convenient I left out the clear fact we are no push over these days at the trade table when the player commits to us and we dont negotiate via the media unlike what the Dogs have done - but then again they have little choice. Its all just part of the circus.
  11. Lever is a done deal has been for quite a few weeks now. You can get more than one player in a trade period. Stringer might have just fallen in our lap AKA Lewis last year.
  12. Roos, Goody, PJ and most importantly Macca are all about being prepared to back yourself. What Jake needs most of all right now we have in spades. Has threatened the culture of a premiership winning side - that is very funny.
  13. Dogs want him out, there will be no auction apart from in the media. I'm very confident we are in this up to our eye balls.
  14. Occasionally you have to be prepared to back yourself. Kid has done nothing more than what thousands of kids do on a daily basis - except he is an AFL footballer. Again - Occasionally you have to be prepared to back yourself.
  15. My tip is it will go thru late in the second week very similar to the Carlisle deal with a big fanfare for the cameras. You can almost write what both clubs representatives will say. Enjoy the circus.
  16. Terrible result for us, shocking result for a Victorian kid out of contract that Adelaide cant fit inside there rates of pay. Adelaide are going to whine and moan for the sake of their supporters but at the end of the day they are not going to knock back a top 5 pick for Lever.
  17. What Stringer "done" is common knowledge, he is human after all. Letting your personal life effect your working life is a common day occurrence.
  18. How do you know we are not in the convo? I trust BMac either way.
  19. If we got Stringer I would be happy, if we dont get Stringer I would be happy. Happy in the knowledge BMac would have a good knowledge of the kid and how it would play out at the MFC.
  20. I would look at the following Mackenzie, Trengove, Otten as potential gorilla minders. All give Frost & Omac time to further develop.
  21. ??? "small forward" Wait a second he is like 190cm ??? He is no small forward.
  22. Price would be the big issue? What would it take in picks and $$$? Kids a freak on his day, much maligned reminds me of Jack Watts on our list. Maybe, a trade would be best for all parties.
  23. I think the kid can play, Port have a quality backline. What I like about Logan is his ability to play on the likes of Daniher, Brown, Kennedy, Lynch opposition players that always get the better of us. Logan might not be a 22 game player today, but in 2-3 years could be an outstanding Full Back allowing TMac an option of moving forward. I would pay a pick in the 40's in this draft for him.
  24. Next time you see Paul please tell him to stop reading Demonland and he needs to get his own rumors. (LOL)
