  1. No idea how Titeass is pal but WTF are you on saying Big Demon is a bad guy? Just a reminder this is a contact sport and if a genuinely tough guy like Cunnington can liver punch Bernie and get just a fine Gaff with a mild jab could have almost completely got off. So many fans here turn a blind eye when our own get hit but I don’t.
  2. With Gaffs ultra clean record this is ridiculous. Two weeks would have been fair considering the low impact jab on a serial pest but eight is plain crazy. When I saw young Francis of Essendon get a 2K fine for a stock standard bump earlier in the day I thought Gaff might get screwed too.
  3. Leadership is an underrated trait in this game, when matches are turning its the clubs with real leadership than manage to shift momentum.
  4. Seems like the world has gone crazy over the Gaffe by Gaff but we even seem to be heading into the realms of nutterism on the normally intelligent Demonland. The real precedent here is the punch by Cunnington on Bernie last year where we wandered over and punched him in the gut, Cunnington is one of the toughest mofos getting around and let me tell you a liver punch is was more painful than a jab on the chin, Cunnington got a fine so that should be the starting precedent here. On another point why is there any mention of legal action? Do you really want normal rules of the land applied at the football? Maybe then we should arrest Bradshaw for the ridiculous pushing and hanging off of Gaff because you cant to that down the Main Street, arrest the shouting fans too defamation all round in some of those comments and just to top it all off the people enjoying your beer at the football now that we have declared the game open for the lawyers to cash in you lot are all stuffed too for drinking in a public place. At least the lawyers future are secured with all this nonsense.
  5. Hard to pick because the very best players don’t often win it as history shows. Generally a midfielder due to sheer possessions so probably Oliver closest right now though he may not be flashy enough. A Petracca up and running would be noticed.
  6. Well said, welcome back Vanders!
  7. Looked like a clean hit. You get these guys running around like badass faux tough guys pushing, shoving etc so there is always a touch of irony when they get put on their arse. Gaff looks like a great pick up next year if the price is right.
  8. Melksham -B O G Brayshaw - [censored] up alot
  9. 6. Melksham 5. Oliver 4. ANB 3. Lewis 2. Harmes 1. T-Mac
  10. It was changed to stop the third man up and teams were starting to apply blocks to the opposition Ruck’s, definitely required and won’t be changing. Never normally an issue except in this case where unfortunately our bloke apparently has ears that are painted on.
  11. Almost warrants a thread really, seriously what has happened to Dom Tyson’s career. Highly rated youngster who showed all the right signs early but looks almost lost these days.
  12. 6. Harmes 5. Melksham 4. Petracca 3. Fritsch 2. Oliver 1. T-Mac
  13. Hard going ... Omac is most definitely not going to make it as an AFL player, if anybody seriously thinks he will go ahead and make your case. Overall the team worked hard, Harmes, Melksham and Petracca led the way, Petraccas brain fade late was bad but he was ver good and you can’t look at one incident for a loss, if you could then plenty of Oscars non competive efforts on Hawkins or maybe Brayshaws ridiculous tap back to three cats 10 metres from goal would certainly take the cake for brain fade of the day. Hard loss to swallow because like the Port game we were the better team most of the time but need to iron out a few of these passengers still.
  14. Gotta say the Gaff was brilliant on the weekend. Dahlhaus has potential, McGovern is a high quality defender as I don’t think Omac is going to make it. We don’t want Lever playing on the guerilla types, we need him playing with freedom to zone off, his best form at the Crows was always with Talila in the same team.
  15. Good call all round, Hermes was super on the weekend and yes the Eagles stopped Sidebottom, even the possessions he had were under pressure, you can’t give that [censored] time and space. I don’t mind Bugg as a tagger, could be a week by week proposition.
  16. Like Lever you can’t actually replace him. Just move a few things around till he gets back.
  17. Looking over the comments on Demonland I think any trade will be difficult. The consensus is that he is tougher than Jack Viney, faster than Jayden Hunt, better by foot than Clayton Oliver and has a tank better than ANB so taking all of the above traits into account you are looking at a guy who could break all records maybe upwards of 2.5 mil a year. I don’t think we could afford that and again based on that if Bryce Gibbs is worth two first round picks this guy would have to worth maybe four making it difficult for other clubs though the Roos and Freo have a little cash so with a few picks may play a few cards.
  18. The club needs to get the next few years right. Losing Hogan is a bad idea, just very hard to replace. The midfield group is where we should be looking for trades.
  19. Great kick. Gonads the size of a football this guy
  20. Any other player in the comp though and that would of been paid as deliberate
  21. Funny you should mention that. He was also asked whether or not sides in Perth, Adelaide and Geelong get a home ground advantage with the umpires, his response was definitely yes and that when you have a large proportion of the crowd cheering for one side it influences decisions.
  22. Listening to Dangerfield on stage at yesterday’s Business of Sport luncheon and he was openly critical of some of the umpiring this year particularly prior opportunity calling it farcicle how quickly they are blowing the whistle against the guy trying to play the ball.
  23. They did because they were. Hawks game to a degree as well, they were transitioning off half back off our turnovers while we press up quite deep so our opposition ends up with the ball over the press and in open space regularly. Players like Brayshaw every week and Jones was also a culprit last week are going to turn the ball over and opposition sides will continue to counter. There is a reason why the Hawthorn team under Clarkson have focussed on guys clinical by foot for many years with success.
  24. Oscar has been horribly exposed from the minute Lever went down, Lever was covering up a lot of cracks in the defence. There is another chap in WA who I believe is a RFA called Jeremy McGovern, he can play a bit but no idea where those negotiations are at.
