  1. Looks like an error mate, AFL's facebook page says he can accept a one match ban.
  2. Yeah it had it's flaws, Not saying the early 90's version of the Tribunal was perfect but some sort of arbitration type thing to come up with punishments that actually fit the offence. The model ATM is take it or get wacked with another week, Hardly fair.
  3. Bring back the Tribunal, any sort of intentional strike should go straight to the tribunal this system clearly is a joke.
  4. Joke. The AFL has it in for us I'm sure of it, handful of teams they'd rather see successful before us.
  5. Or any year. Can only recall a handful of good wins there recently, Mostly against bad opponents.
  6. I'd be interested to see the stat of opposion scores resulted in our turnovers. Our entry into our 50 is terrible at times and when we give the ball to the opposition they run harder the other way and use the open spaces to their advantage getting good entry to their forwards. It's a worrying trend that needs to be addressed.
  7. Not sure, apparently our players are snipers and us Melbourne fans don't understand the game.
  8. I'd avoid the North bigfooty site If you want to retain the will to live.
  9. Yeah but Harmes is a goer at least, Bugg is a luxury player, if he's not kicking goals he's pretty useless.
  10. Out Bugg in Harmes Melksham will probably get a run for Wagner too Local footy type umpiring Again losing to an average team, shattered
  11. Can't believe we lost to Richmond and Hawthorn..
  12. This made me laugh. But at the end of the day, we weren't good enough. Close, but not quite. The evenness of the comp is now our friend. We can still get a roll going, and find a spot in the top four if we are up to it.
  13. Hahah so happy to be proven wrong, enjoyed that immensely..
  14. They seem to have no plan B, very little defensive effort in this game. Tigers look home to me
  15. Haha i saw that, take a look at this one too, apparently losing by 3 points is "crumbling" and the dewy weather should give them the edge. People have short memories in footy. The Dees are favourites because of a systematic dismantling of Adelaide whilst we crumbled to a bottom four side. Yet a fortnight ago we systematically dismantled Adelaide and they crumbled to a bottom four side.Yes, their midfield is playing attractively but our forward and backline are too big for them. We have a ruck dominance all over the ground meaning we should always be first to the ball at stoppages. Send Gibson to Oliver to sit in his back pocket. The weather is vital. If it stays as forecast it'll be a bit dewy but we should be able to win the game in the air.And that garbage from Goodwin about how some players aren't affected by the losing streak... 90% of that organisation don't even know the feeling of winning against North. We'll be in their heads on that.
  16. Some of the garbage on that site is infuriating.. They seem supremely confident, not giving us much of a look in. Can't wait to [censored] them.
  17. A mate who's from Adelaide said some crows fans used to urinate in plastic bottles and throw it on the opposition fans at Footy Park.. If that isn't menacing not sure what is.
  18. I read the letter, fancy telling people to warn there guests about 'being loud', either ban opposition supporters completely or let them in and support there team. Can't tell people to be quiet at the footy.
  19. Just watched this, worth a watch pretty honest discussion about Daniel's gambling addiction. Interesting that Simon Goodwin was caught up with betting on AFL matches at that time too.
  20. Someone already posted the main things but managed to paraphrase the main points from the press conference if you missed it. JOSH MAHONEY “He had an ultrasound on Wednesday that detected the cancer and a full ct scan on Thursday which detected that the cancer hadn’t spread to any other part of the body Will have surgery today to remove the tumor Extremely early detection, expected to make a full recovery a return to football this year Wanted to play on the weekend but decided not to Very positive about the outlook, it's been a tough time for Jesse, seeing a young 22-year-old mature in front of our eyes. "All we can do as a club is offer our support, were confident he will bounce back and play some footy this year CLUB DOCTOR: ZEESHAN ARAIN Very early stage, hasn’t spread and will not need chemotherapy, good news for him Purely from a physical point of view from the operation and recovery I expect 4-8 weeks, but he’s had an interrupted season so will need to asses from a conditioning point of view. "He was very lucky, anytime anyone gets a diagnosis of cancer people feel very unlucky but when its early stage the emotions flip around so, look it was really good that Jesse was able to come to us and we were able to follow it though so he’s very lucky from that point of view” “When people hear cancer people get very worried but there’s a lot of different cancers, what Jarryd (Roughhead) went through is a lot different to what Jesse is going to through” Ít’s a very curable cancer, it’s very early stage, in fact as a male if you’re going to get a cancer this is the one to get”” “He’d been a feeling a little vague discomfort and probably going through what he went through with his father, people become a little hypervigilant so in that setting it was great that he came to me.. but look, he wasn’t feeling unwell, no other symptoms other than feeling a lump”
  21. Terrible news but at least it's be caught early and he should be ok. Press conference at 9.45 with Josh Mahoney live on Fox Sports News.
