  1. Getting rid of Robinson, these caricatures and colour base would be phantastique! Bloody huge of key MALE players...
  2. Thunderrrrbirrrrdddss are GO!
  3. Yep, sure hope I can help you. I received the offer on e-mail (I am an interstate Armchair Member of MFC, from Adelaide). From there, I immediately called (and got through relatively quickly) the MFC Membership area on the following number: 1300 336667 to enquire about the e-mail offer to Members - and the possibility of taking along 2 guests (non-members). They said: 'No worries...' and facilitated it all on the spot. I paid via Debit Card over the phone. Within minutes, via MFC through Ticketek, the goodies, complete, had arrived. I pick up the guest passes to the Members' seating area ($18 each x 2) from just outside Gate 3 at the 'G from 1pm Sunday - but please note, the guests have to pay a General Entry fee of $20 approximately to get in as General Entry - and then accompany the 2 of us, Members, to the allocated seating - with entry via Gate 5, just a few hundred metres north around the Ground from Gate 3. Hope this all helps. 'Carna Dees!
  4. On a brighter note, as members, we just took advantage of the MFC members reserved seats for Sunday's game against Geelong at the MCG. It was astonishingly good value from the Club, in comparison to the offering that existed previously from the money-hungry Ticketek, who required, for just ordinary seats, $75 per seat for members of the MFC. The lowest-priced seats for MFC Members offered by Ticketek were in the order of $60 per seat, in the bleaches of the Northern Stand or behind the Richmond-end goals bleachers. Neither were acceptable. Suddenly, the MFC offered yesterday, Monday, 2 Members tickets for $20 @ $10 each. In addition, we were also able to collect from the MFC two Guest tickets beside our seats for $18 each. We took immediate action and purchased the package for four people in the reserved seat area for less than one reserved seat in the above Ticketek bleachers. This is the way MFC Members should be treated - more often. In reality, it is $10 per seat and next to / near the facilities, with good viewings of the ground just on the wing at Level 1. What's is equally advantageous is that these tickets were issued electronically the same day, arriving in e-mail within minutes. I'd encourage any Member to take advantage of this great offering to indicate to the Club that this is what Members might wish. It may even expand as time goes by - at least one could hope.
  5. Really worried about conceding goals 'over the back'; frequent occurrence, last year.
  6. Sounds like the rectus femoris group for Oliver, at the front of the thigh, attaching around the knee and upper tibia. One related connector is across the top edge of the patella (kneecap) and suspiciously, this may be the site of discomfort. Should be right to play in he was moving freely at this point. Agree about Oliver's importance as a player as he gets the ball out or to a teammate at most contests.
  7. To combat these dreaded lapses, better use of the filling of the bench and deployment from the bench needs to be made, with almost radical changes across the field of play in where, when and which player is activated onfield outside of bench decisions. TMac moving into the fwd line is such an example but if the opposition's scoring improves in any quarter, move him to his traditional Fullback role. Such changes (and there are many more possibilities due to our depth and utility of skills development across the past 12 months), can occur simultaneously right across the ground now - throwing opposition certainties into a very stiff breeze. The ruck needs a change of approach to maximise the Max-factor. This man must be swung into the play with some 'rest' for recuperation given every game, otherwise his likelihood of injury and fatigue will cruel him. On-ballers, too, need such consideration rather than an expectation of 'burn-out' midway through a series of plays during a match. Longer-term, these capacities will add a new dynamic to our game style and innovation. The 'fade' that we experience so often - even if only for one part of one quarter - will be tackled head-on and provide far greater utility as a team striving to win convincingly at all times.
  8. Hard to believe, these days, I guess but just maybe... from 2028 onwards ...
  9. Something very logical about that and the likelihood of such breakdowns. I'd reckon that playing them both would be great by half time. Geelong are going to need superfit youth to get past the Demons. I cannot imagine that their players are fit enough or have the sustained endurance to keep up with the game, break free to set up plays or rebound as the Cats used to do. With our backline, I doubt if their delivery will be fully effective. I could be wrong but another 12months have passed.
  10. Thanks for that. Here is the result for those who have not heard, albeit one-sided: Box Hill 0.1 4.2 4.5 4.8 32 Casey 4.8 8.11 9.14 12.15 87
  11. Excellent effort, those who provided update information. Very much appreciated. Somewhere there is a lesson for the Club in this. Why not take advantage of this online world?
  12. We need an old-fashioned Reserves game prior to a match, then the team warm-up on the ground, then the seniors match, every week. As AFL prices rise, that would be moving towards better value for money. I would even donate my pie 'n sauce money to this cause and the 'home' team as these nourishment treats are too expensive to consider anymore. Bring back 'People Power', not dictatorial exploitation. It is our game, not the AFL's.
  13. Any way of getting a re-cap of the game from the key players' perspectives?
  14. We can almost read your mind on this post. Almost. Great effort, though.
  15. How is Kenty going? Like his aggression and speed. Tim Smith - above VFL standard or struggling?
  16. This grade of footy (VFL/Seconds) is a priority to analyse and watch - we must generate comms so that we can internalise what otherwise might be a past event. Never watch, listen to or evaluate the women's game anyway. Does not have the same significance.
  17. Is Bocky full of Hawks players today?
  18. Article is simple, straightforward and interesting. Runners should be eliminated, in my opinion. Too many times they change the flow of a game and appear to work to someone's disadvantage. The drink bottle routine is rubbish; so are coach's instructions onfield. Clean and untether the game.
  19. If Dangerfield plays, the more chances he has of breaking down, mid-game. So, bring him on for a Pedo bump or two.
  20. Really would expect a few hundred (or more) new memberships in the next few weeks and into the season from there. Success is a great accumulator in football and being on the bandwagon is very associative with that success.
  21. Yep, balanced and some insight yet way out of date; quite questionable in raising these alleged issues at this point of the coming season, other than to disrupt and destabilise what has been a remarkably successful pre-season.
  22. Time to stop the speculation and shut up shop in readiness for next weekend. It gives the players a full week of freedom from controversy and criticism, and the odd excess of praise. It is an opportunity for the whole team to focus on the Geelong match and little else. Mind strengthening at this point, one would hope.
  23. What tactics will be used against Ablett and Dangerfield (if the latter plays)? Who will wear them and how do we bypass them so they run all day for no benefit, collapsing in a heap in the last quarter?
  24. You would not believe how good life was when the Demons were on top and were unshakeable. Those were wonderful living memories.
