State of Origin Squads
Only one player is good. I know it sounds a bit mean but we just can;'t afford anyone getting hurt. Good on Nev for putting hand up though.
- Best 22? / Next 22??

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - MITCH BROWN
A smart move by the club. Exactly what we need if we want to push for top 4 this year

What to do with what is now Pick 32?
PICK 32: MELBOURNE โ HUGO RALPHSMITH Clubs: Sandringham Dragons/Vic Metro Position: Outside Midfielder/Medium Forward Size: 188cm, 75kg Bio: Ralphsmith might not have put together a complete game at all levels in 2019, but what he showed will make a number of clubs tempted to use an early selection on the 17-year-old. Ralphsmith was used deep forward by Haileybury College throughout 2019, but was pushed up the ground by Vic Metro and Sandringham Dragons. He has X-Factor and looked most at home playing across half-forward where he used his speed and class with aplomb. The Victorian could develop into one of the steals of the draft when looking back in a number of years.

As they would be. He should have gone first round. What a steal!

What to do with what is now Pick 32?
This would be a great outcome. It would also mean we pick up 2 WA boys, which will be good long term. Robertson would be the icing on the cake but Jeremy Sharp would be pretty good to. At least Taylor still has options, including his name sake, Elijah.

2019 AFL National Draft Thread
I personally am not worried about who we take in the draft. The FD would have done their homework and they will choose accordingly. Players may be taken for the now and to fill gaps or with mind on the future. With the evenness of this draft it would appear picks 1- 20 are pretty much equal depending on which club wants what. We currently have pick 3,10 and 28, which is an amazing position to be in with such an even draft. We brought in Langdon, Tomilson and may just get Bennell as he re creates his career. Mitch Brown is also an astute pick up if we decide to take him. On top of that Sparrow ,Chandler and Bedford look like their 2nd year in the system will be positive. May, Lever, Weed, Preuss , Viney etc all look to be in good nick and Goodwin and team have learnt some valuable lessons from last year. We also have a new medical team, one that has some pretty credentialed personal. Chuck in an easier draw due to last years disaster, and no Darwin game, I am pretty happy. The Draft is just that. Pick a few players and hope for the best. There have been many top 10 picks that have had amazing careers and others that do not. I have faith in the FD and who ever we pick will be at the same spot as the guy that goes 1 or 80th . Personally Jackson, Young, Green and Kemp would all be fine. At least we have the opportunity to decide!

What to do with Pick 10?
I reckon, and just a reckon, that the FD have a pretty good idea of who they want and why. Jackson- Tall, moves like a midfielder, future type ruck (Grundy Mold) They will also target a Mid field x 2 Small Forward. Problem is it will all depend on who is available when. Getting Bennell on the park is pressing as this means at least one of these guys have time to develop. I also reckon Sparrow will tear it apart this year and bedford will play a few in the pocket.

What to do with Pick 10?
Lets trade pick 97 for 3, 10 and 28. That way we will get some news for the AFL.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Jackson makes sense.. With evenness of the draft we will still get a player of choice at pick 8 or 14 and 17 if we wheel and deal with Geelong. Yes Jackson comes with risk but all players do. Look at Mc Cartin (no 1 pick) and done. If he develops we have a ruck/ forward player for yeas to come. If wants to go home WCE and Anchors pay up.

The Splitting of Pick 8
Good, Jackson at 3, then use 8 on what we need. Nic Nat was a pick 2 and we missed that one. turned out ok. If we get to pick 8 and we see opportunity perhaps pick the extra player by grabbing 14 and 17 etc. I still think we traded well and our team is solid. Would love Jackson and Young at 3 and 8 though

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Agree he is a big kid against small kids but the junior system these days has some bloody kid capable kids. Many from last year slotted straight in. I think there are 10-15 picks in the top 10 if that makes sense that will be fine to move straight in to AFL . Taylor I am not sure of either but letโs see how he goes with 3 and 8 or whatever it becomes. With Langdon Tomlinson and Bennell in red and blue , I feel we have had a draft already ! This will be a bonus.

Phantom Drafts
I would not be surprised if GCS pull out the Green bid first. Just a thought. If going for Jackson need to have him signed and resigned for next 5 years.

Phantom Drafts
Bid on green. Get him, bonus if miss out on what want ,at 8 see if we can secure Geelong's picks.

Is Petracca the Ben Simmons of the AFL?
100 percent behind the trac to absolutely kill it this year. Has we played like 2018 this year, he would have been even better. I am tipping all Australian Squad next year!
