  1. When you bottom out you have to be careful to leave enough older leaders that they can follow to understand the culture and standards. Mfc made the same mistakes. Otherwise you are waiting 5 years for the kids to have the presence and confidence to build and support it themselves which has too many risks attached to it ... guys like BB and Tarrant should still be there helping the team on field and off field
  2. Agree, look what happened to our result's when May went all in at Entrecote. You wouldn't dismiss it as an option though within a must win game and we need a spark, likewise May moving forward
  3. l would prefer they put their hand out and retract it just as the opposition accepts the offer ... in the end its a players decision ... l don't think it would suit viney but can see petracca doing it and still staying focused
  4. Of course you pick him up, you would get him pretty much for free and he is an upgrade on weid and m brown ... anyone know any others mature key forwards that would come almost free and be in our starting 22? McStay is looking at $600k for god sake
  5. Ben Brown looked sore, wouldn't surprise me if he missed this week
  6. https://www.perthnow.com.au/opinion/cut-the-bs-from-high-school-to-the-big-time-luke-travers-and-luke-jacksons-paths-forever-entwined-c-7306476.amp ... not sure if this was shared already
  7. Have always wondered what we offered ... $400k seems unders ... where did you hear that
  8. Thanks Poita, where did he mention that?
  9. The only hope for me would be to play him at CHB which l think he could do and perhaps release Petty to play up forward
  10. Another block of games ... no thanks ... he plays when in form or he gets dropped ...he's been in the system long enough. Goodies comments at the presser is pure frustration that he doesn't will himself into contests and have any physical presence ... the smalls rely on aerial contests ... wouldnt surprise me to see majak play this week
  11. like you said why hate particular clubs when you can hate them all 😉
  12. It's an interesting one, he has his biceps wrapped up but not his forearms. The fact the tackle comes from the side and unbalances him seems to also be an important factor. Apart from all that, Foley has zero awareness. More experienced players would have sensed the heat coming and braced themselves, diverted, or tried to fend off.
  13. Could be that, but l was thinking it was also about worrying the opposition about whether they will need an extra tall defender should weid, tmac, jacko and BBB play
  14. Maybe Jacko is NQR, and covid has had some lingering effects. Interesting that Goody also said in presser they hadn't decided on their best forward setup, when previously he said it involved only 2 talls without counting Jacko
  15. This can't be right ...Roffey told us to trust her as she did similar stuff while in tennis ... well, she needs to get this up to leave some sort of legacy, otherwise move on as you told us that you have been the lead at board level to get this off the ground
  16. l thought petracca lived with kosi and another (maybe Jackson), although can't recall where that's from
  17. tmac will be back in by seasons end ... stint in the vfl will do him the world of good
  18. More mportantly he created hope and options for those that are follicly challenged
  19. The issue with Weid appears to be mental - has all the tools but struggles with pressure
  20. Loved him on Gus and Gawny, looking forward to it, can't get enough of him
  21. If we assume BB needs a run first or gets covid, and we know mitch brown is injured, then we need a backup tall as an emergency to bring over. That would be JVW l suspect and would explain why he was held over
  22. The extra 2 years were to smooth his contact out, and worst case, he becomes a very handy backup back or forward as he ages and others come on. Its quite normal for teams to have one or two bigs missing through injury at any time. Serms like he will be the one to miss this week though
  23. So l think most understand the injury ranges aren't perfect but we keep an eye on how often we miss the mark. If it happens relatively frequently we get annoyed. Personally, l get more annoyed when the number of weeks is designed to keep supporter hopes up and will never be met or we have set back and we aren't informed. This used to happen alot under Misson (in action) but less so now
