A note from Drunkn
Thought I’d give a little update on Dec for anyone interested This season he is playing at our home town of Moe as a development coach/player Back into his true position as a key defender and has killed it in the first 2 games On Saturday they played Maffra in Maffra and won 69-26. Moe haven’t beat Maffra away in over a decade He was dominating so much they sent a defensive forward on him but it didn’t work, he took a huge number of defensive and intercept marks and was a big reason Maffra only kicked 3 goals for the game Moe picked up a few good players this year including ex Giants and Carlton player Kristian Jaksch. Should have a good crack at the premiership this year He has floated the idea of possibly returning to Casey in the VFL next season so I will keep you updated Carn the Dee’s!

Has There Been A Better Recruit This Year Than Langdon?
Does anyone remember how we were all screaming out for another decent winger in the 17/18 seasons? They got in Tomlinson to do that role, didn't work, but now hes looking very settled down back where he belongs We looked like we had miffed it, and then comes in this long haired bloke from the West and we could not have picked up a better Wingman I love him

Clayton Oliver Re-Signs Until 2023
I know Clarry, not super close but enough to know him I can’t ever see him leaving this club, he loves the club and loves the boys and I can’t see that ever changing

Farewell Oscar McDonald
Man I always rated OMac so highly, Keilty used to tell me he was one of the hardest blokes to match up on during training. Always used to really upset me to see him being s**t on by our supporter base But watching him tonight filled me with a lot of joy, as well as some anger about how our club treated him Go well Oscar and I hope you have a dominant year

Steven May All Australian?
Any footy lovers would have known how powerful a defender May was at the Suns When we picked him up everyone was very excited for what he could bring to our club By his own admission he had a horrid last year mostly due to his own poor preparation (and to be fair, moving to a new city and having your missus leave you soon after would poorly effect everyone) But this year he has shown us all just how great a player he is He might me my favourite player now AA for sure.

TEAMS: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
Dropping Oscar doesn’t make sense to me, thought with him the team it allowed May and Lever to play their roles a lot better
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Nervous as hell for this Realistically we should win comfortable, irrespective of the ladder position, given the 2 teams form the last month but part of me thinks we’ll stuff up this game too
-
POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
That was incredibly frustrating I’m angry but we were [censored] for 2 quarters and still almost beat one of the best teams in the comp so ill take it

Cheers mate Decs doing well, but has been missing footy a lot. In fact he has missed it so much he thinks he might go back to Casey next season.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Boys if he can stay un-injured he will be a massive boost for us. The dude can definitely play some damn good footy. So happy for him.

A note from Drunkn
I posted this else where but thought it deserved it’s own topic Well boys, we knew this day was coming a long time ago and we've come to terms with it. Truth is Dec was a bit over football anyway, to be putting in all that blood, sweat and tears to not be playing regular senior footy isn't easy. That being said, the family and I will be forever grateful to the Melbourne Football Club for giving Dec the chance to live out his life long dream, and he got that chance on a sunny afternoon at the MCG. Not only that, but they won a close game, and himself having an impact on that result (his centre clearance for those who remember) He and us will never forget it. To everyone at Demonland, since I first started posting here 5 years ago when Dec started playing some decent footy at Casey, thank you for all your kind words. I have had a great time being able to share this experience with super passionate supporters which are sometimes hard to find. I have sincerely enjoyed the conversations and experiences I've had over the years and I'll be sure to pop back in ever now and again as I now and will always bleed Red and Blue. Dec's career wasn't the most glamorous by any stretch but only a very small percentage of people who ever play our beloved game get to say they played in the AFL. Cheers everyone, and have a drink on me!
