Sydney could be an ideal trading partner
north westerly replied to Yze_Magic's topic in Melbourne Demons
There's not too much that the swannies could offer us to satisfy our requirements when it comes to a trade for Trav. People need to keep in mind that there is no point in trading for trading sake. It would be one of those lovely trades with 3-4 way clubs involved. -
I doubt we have the $$$'s in the warchest to compete. Mind you I don't see too many clubs having the room in their salary cap to offer Judd the $1 - 1.5m a year that is being touted as what the bid will need to be. It may be a rough ride for us to get him to Melbourne.

Mark Riley to Carlton And Josh Mahoney To Us?

Not a huge loss -
Each and every person with Red & Blue pumping through their veins should automatically feel ill at the sight of a Collingw&%$ victory. It was interesting to watch the shots of the crowd they showed during the telecast. Each time they zoomed in on a Collingw&%$ fan they certainly were lacking a few teeth or looked like they were fresh out of Prison (or heading that way shortly). Collingw&%$ are filth and anyone that doesn't support Collingw&%$, no matter where they are from, should despise them. Bring on next Friday night to bring them down to earth - GO [censored] !!!!!!!

I was set upon by 2 Swedish backpackers in Surfers one year - what a night, thanks Anna & Lena!!
-
You would think these two will be in our trade offerings - we can only hope we can get something for them, otherwise strike them from the list anyhow.

Great news if true....3 out of 4 of my wishes since round 6 have come true - 1) the sacking of Daniher 2) Delisting Godfrey 3) Delisting Ward now I'm hanging out for the 4th - Trade or delist Miller.
-
Forget Ivor Warne-Smith (no disrespect intended) 14 - RODNEY GRINTER !!!!!!!!
-
Nathan Jones by a mile
-
Miller - on your bike Yze - unwilling to contribute Jamar - The stats king (I'd love to know his average stat's per game, but can't be more than 1 or 2) Holland - Easter Island becons Ward - Moonee Valley awaits Silvia - less late nights Ferguson - or (was it) Kate Ritchie?
-
You Goose! You say he's your favourite player yet in your next breath you want him traded. What in god's name will that achieve? A fit Trav, like the one we saw yesterday, is a priceless commodity. Nothing any other club could offer would adequately compensate us for trading Trav (except maybe WC Eagles offering Judd or Brisvegas offering Jonathan Brown - both of which will never happen).

The club have tried to trade Ward in the last 2 trade weeks, so he's sure to be delisted. You would think that Bailey will have a bit of a clean out, but most likely to take 2 years like Clarkson did when he took over at the Hawks. To go also will be 3-5 of the following - Ward, Jamar, Miller, Ferg, Wheatley, Bruce, Green, CJ or Godders. I'm tipping 6-7 changes to the list in total as we are not an absolute basket case like Hawthorn was when Clarkson arrived. He made 9 changes from memory to their list.

"cos if anyone on this board knows footy it is me" - YM, having reviewed heaps of your posts, most others on this site have more footy knowledge in their little toes. Maybe you should stop being such a [censored] and support the club with a positive outlook to the future.

TJ has missed plenty of games this year and carried injuries in most games that he did play. You may may want to take this into account before stating that he needs a kick up the backside. He is a very rare species of player that can win a game for us single handedly. There is no way we improve our list with moving Trav on.
-
Hopefully we'll see Miller playing at CHB for another club
-
Hopefully our process was like that of the Saints when they appointed Grant Thomas, and Sheedy will be reading through his new Melbourne contract as he flies to Perth this evening, sending it back signed via Express Post in the morning.
-
Probably also the last games for Ward, and the stats machines Miller & Jamar
-
Trade Bruce while he has currency, he continues to turns over the ball all too often due to his dubious kicking style. Trade Green as he also has currency. He is an outside player who also has the habit of making poor decisions when under pressure. I don't think both would be traded but neither would surprise. If both went you would imagine a first round pick + for each which would be very hand in the drafts.
-
Captain : David Neitz Vice captain: Brock McLean Coach: most likely to be Chris Connolly, hoping on the former Bomber Coach though Delisted players: Ward, Godfrey, CJ Traded: Green, Bruce, Miller (if he's got value is questionable - if not delist), Jamar Retired players: Brown First draft pick: The biggest CPP out there Football manager: Riley 07 Bluey: 1) a fit Trav, 2) Nathan Jones, 3) Byron

Get Thomas and bring Reiwoldt over!?
north westerly replied to Demonator's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am a new poster but have been a keen reader of this site for several years. Finally I have something to add.......... You may just find Butterrs & Gardner mix in the same circles (ie: Atheneum Club & Brighton) leading to a natural Thomas dislike. I played when Thomas was coaching in the amatuers and from first hand experience think he should go back to HR Consulting.
