in addition - if they dont look after those players/clubs, in the long term the clubs will die off. If they cant sell hope (which is what all footy clubs sell) then they wont have clubs for their players to earn money at!

4 subs. starting 18. subs can come on for 20 mins in case of temporary injury/concussion - otherwise, if you're off, you're off. if you want positional play, where forwards are forwards and backs are backs, where goal sneaks can survive in a pocket and skinny kids can run on a wing, thats how you do it.

Has anyone seen Hird's appeal papers yet? I would be interested to see if he has asked for an injunction into ASADA's show cause notices. I know he's SAID he wouldn't stop them ... but does anyone actually believe anything he says any more?

Why not just do it after 2 years? you do your 2 year draft contract at the club that drafts you, then you can go wherever you want. have to get rid of the minimum salary cap payments though

the problem is the minimum salary cap. why should a team like us pay its players who are vastly inferior pretty much the same as the all conquering hawks players? if we could pay them what they were actually worth (peanuts) then it wouldnt be a problem.

to be fair to hirdy, when has anyone ever lost their job for exercising their legal right to appeal a court case? reckon he would have a fair case for unfair dismissal - as much as i dont like him, it seems a bit unfair.
