  1. A second rounder for Peter Wright? Get your hand off it.
  2. Good on him. Who knows if the AFL helped with this, but I thought the way the Saints talked about getting him next year was unprofessional and arrogant. I'm stoked they won't get him next year and will have to pay up massively to get him out of his contract if that does come to pass.
  3. If we had any interest, which I would think we didn't, the only positive would be that the Pies are probably more than willing to get rid of him quickly and cheaply, so we could get him for next to nothing. However, I don't think he's even close to what we need. Strikes me as someone the Crows might chase as he's an SA boy.
  4. "If you cast your bread upon the water and you have faith, you'll get back cash. If you don't have faith, you'll get soggy bread." - Don King.
  5. True, but he has been harping on about it all over the place.
  6. I can't tell if you're obsessed with Ben King or mentioning him in each thread to be annoying.
  7. Someone was trying to tell me a few weeks back that the Bombers being tough to deal with was a 'myth'. As long as Dodoro is there they will always be an absolute pain during trade week.
  8. Surprise of the decade right there. While the discussion around our stinker of a season and the expectations on 2020 are more than valid, Buckenara can't be taken seriously when he rates Petracca on par with blokes who only get a gig when we have injuries. Poor journalism at best.
  9. 4 pages for a nothing comment? I guess it is the off season after all. We stunk it up big time this season, but it doesn't make us a basket case. GC getting a 'basket' load of picks and the Crows losing players and personnel by the bucket load are what you might call a basket case. But having a shocker of a season isn't. Ralphy isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, and while this season doesn't sit well with me, we should all take solace in the fact that we aren't even close to what we served up earlier in the decade.
  10. It sounds like Mahoney has suggested we're after a pretty extraordinary deal, otherwise we're very happy to take pick 3 to the draft. The longer we hold out and the closer we get to the deadline, the more chance we have of one team panicking a little and giving in to our demands.
  11. Keeping in mind that Frost was out of contract, who else would you have sacrificed instead?
  12. Spot on. Plus we have the option of splitting pick three if the right offer is tabled. That can potentially strengthen our hand even further.
  13. There is still plenty of time left to get involved in a few deals. There is also plenty of time left for something to crop up out of left field - teams scrambling to fit under the salary cap or looking to improve their hand at the draft. We can sit and wait for a good deal to arise... or go to the draft with what we have. It's a win/win.
  14. To be fair, Hogan didn't play at all in the final few games and then in any of our finals. We showed that we could function quite well without him.
  15. I'm relying on you for a detailed report, dazzle. Don't let me down!
  16. The bit of play I really liked from the short highlights clip was the second one, where he hit a target off half back and then kept running further down the ground to receive the ball again. We simply don't have someone like that in the side and he will love doing that all day at the 'G. Great get for the club.
  17. I think @Engorged Onion was being sarcastic.
  18. Super deal. So, for those keeping count: We let go of Frost and landed Langdon for a bit of a shuffle with late picks and moving back 4 spots in this years second round. Very happy with that.
  19. Window dressing? Hardly. If, and it's an if at this stage, we got that future second rounder to use for Langdon, then I think we've done quite well. We still have picks in all rounds for the next two years while being able to add two valuable players to our side. It's not a knockout, but I'm not even close to being unhappy with it.
  20. I mentioned this in my above post, but the way I look at it is this: We've added Tomlinson and, potentially, Langdon and we still have a first, second and third pick in both 2019 and 2020. Yes, we've lost Frosty but we have cover there. I think it also means that we have the picks to do other deals if they arise.
  21. Anyone who has been on this site for more than a few months knows exactly who will like the deal and who won't. Regular as clockwork. If the future second rounder goes for Langdon, then it's a good deal for us. Still means we have a first, second and third this year and a first, second and third the following year. I also think we're still in the market for other deals as well.
  22. I lost a few brain cells just reading this post. pWISEBLOOD
  23. Our second rounder is fair. If it ends up being that for Langdon then it's a good deal for everyone involved.
  24. One of those picks would head west for Langdon you would say. I'm not sure the above does it for me though. I think, at this stage, I'd rather take three to the draft. The picks that the Cats have are a little low and, now that GWS have made that trade, there isn't anyone we can do a decent swap with from what I can see.
