  1. And my aunty would be my uncle if she had a pair.
  2. Didn't see a certain game we lost by 186?

This might end up being it, chook. Viney coming in is 50/50 for me as they may make him wait another week to be sure.
  4. And you can keep following me around like a bad smell because you're insecure about your thoughts on the game. Cheers.
  5. Fair points, layzie. I get where some are coming from and, as I said earlier, if this had been a normal turnaround for us, and not a third game in 12 days, then I'd be more disappointed with the final term. As it stands I think we should great maturity in ensuring we killed the contest before they got a sniff. It's something we haven't done enough of in the past. If we were playing, say, a Richmond or Hawthorn today then it would have been a very tough ask. But we got the job done, and did it professionally, and that's something to be very happy with.
  6. No, it won't. We'll make the finals based on how many games we win. If we're relying on percentage to make it then we don't deserve to be there. I want us playing finals before the final round comes around.
  7. If this was a normal game, with a normal break etc. then I would 100& agree, Forest. We do need to have that killer instinct and put sides away. However, after 3 games in 12 days, I think we can focus on the positive and how well we played as a unit and put a side we should be beating away. When we needed to we put 2 goals on the board in the last to kill the contest and it allowed us to rest a few of our better players and do what we had to do.
  8. You got an opinion of your own, or just want to play the man?
  9. We win a game of footy by close to 7 goals and do it with ease, and this is the garbage our supporters serve up. You should be embarrassed.
  10. Superb win today. We were tough, we ran them ragged and didn't give up, even in the last term when we were out on our legs. If anyone complains about us stopping in the last term then don't listen to them. Seriously, we've just played our third game in twelve days and we were always going to get tired. We did the right thing by kicking 2 quick goals to start off the term and we killed off the contest. The big positive for me was the game of Gus Brayshaw. 32 touches and plenty of clearances was bloody brilliant. The confidence is back and, outside of a few poor kicks, he is showing the footy world why he was the third pick in his draft year. What an addition he is to the side. Hogan has continued his great season, Jones was terrific and our backline is working an absolute treat now. Our forward line worked well again, too. With Viney and Salem to potentially come back into the side we are really getting things going, now. I'll take the 39 point win and if anyone is annoyed about giving up a few late ones then just laugh at them. This is a fantastic performance from the side after some serious game time in the last week and a half.
  11. The whole injury list is here: Harley Balic (plantar fascia) – 2-3 weeksLochie Filipovic (rested) – 2 weeksJesse Hogan (knee/ankle) – testDean Kent (hamstring) – 4-5 weeksMitch King (elbow) – 5-6 weeksCorey Maynard (hip) – 6-8 weeksPat McKenna (hamstring) – indefiniteChristian Petracca (finger) – testChristian Salem (thumb) – 1-2 weeksAaron vandenBerg (ankle) – 4-6 weeksJack Viney (foot) – 1-2 weeks It's certainly getting longer which is not a good thing, but the positive is that outside of Hogan, Trac and Viney they aren't really best 22 players. And those three won't be on the list for much longer as well.
  12. So one minute he is never in the box, the next minute he does both during games...? Why anybody listens to a thing you say or backs you up in anything is totally beyond me.
  13. Before we start jumping off the West Gate, again, let's wait and hear from a trusted source about issue first. Right now all we know, from a rumour, is McCartney will be on the bench instead of the coaches box. We know nothing else, regardless of what someone like Tom Morris (who has come up with some absolute shite this year) has to say on the matter.
  14. I disagree OD on the basis that each team needs a few players like him. Out of our depth players he is one of the better ones and you need foot soldiers in your side. ANB fits the bill perfectly.
  15. We can't have 22 stars in our side week in, week out. You need foot soldiers, and ANB is one of those. He knows his role, he plays his role and does it well (most weeks). His form has fluctuated a little this season but he's exactly the type you need in the side. Granted, we may have a few too many of those at the minute, but he is in our best 22 going forward.
  16. Just like you ignored all of the messages we sent you in regards to the Ultimate Footy League, which almost ruined the league for the entire season?
  17. See, this is simply not true. People who want to push this idea are way off the mark. However, so are those who think Watts will be a super acquisition for Port. Bottom line is that he will provide for Port what he always provided for us over the last few seasons - a couple of ripping games, some good ones, some average ones and then a few absolute shockers. That's it. So it's time to move on. Love him, hate him, wish him well, whatever. While he still might be a Melbourne person or supporter in the future, he isn't a Melbourne player. Let's focus on the 44 we have on our list and our hopeful rise up the ladder. Dwelling on Watts - either positively or negatively - does absolutely nothing for us.
  18. This. I can't believe that the season is well under way and this thread is constantly being bumped with mindless posts on both sides of the coin. He's gone - some are happy, some are ambivalent and so are still annoyed about it. Great. Feel that way in your own time.
  19. I've heard otherwise. Good enough?
  20. What a load of crap.
  21. Which means what? You seem to be trying to insinuate something off one piece of play.
  22. You would expect that figure to jump a little again on Sunday. I think the number is pretty good considering the bitter taste our end to last year left in the mouth. We would surely be above 40,000 by now if we had of made finals, so this is a fair number all things considered.
  23. He has a really good mix of the attributes you want in a player - he clearly works hard and puts in on the training track, and he has the swagger and confidence to go with it that screams 'I'm better than you, and if you give me a moment, I'll show you why'. I hope we go with Gawn, Oliver, Petracca and Jones in the guts on Sunday. We can smash those buggers into the turf from the moment the ball is bounced.
  24. Yes, you're right, Doc. I think I was playing with a few cards short of a full deck last night. Cheers.
  25. No it won't. Journalists might get a kick up the bum, but fan sites? Unless it's horrible nothing is going to happen.
