  1. Well that goes without saying, but do you really think there could have been anything worse than what we saw this year?
  2. Geez tomorrow is going to be more than a little chaotic !!!
  3. But I think that is the point Jerry, we don't know, we are going insane not knowing, and some folk simply want to believe the worst of one of our own. The catch us, it is not our business to know, it is his and the clubs, and until there is something factual to believe I am willing to stay in limbo. ......that is without judgement or condemnation for something we simply aren't privy to.
  4. Charming.....
  5. Me too mousey, but I honestly believe that there is a hell of a lot more going on here than we will ever know about...... Its easy for us to sit way on the outer and say that he should do this and that, but we really have no clue what is going on with him, his manager, the club, or the coach. He may have a real dislike for something going on, he may feel totally unappreciated and disrespected (which wouldn't be way outside the realm of possibility). And maybe he is weighing up his options because of any number of reasons we will never and should never be privy to. Gutting him for doing this shows a staggering lack of understanding. People think players shouldn't be able to look after their futures, and at this time of year seem to think that they should only care about the love of the jumper, despite the fact a club can trade them out just as quickly. That is all well and good once in contract, but everyone has to the right to look for something they think could be better if they are not happy, or not being looked after or whatever the issues may be. I honestly don't know, but the money and length of contract seem to be from the outside fine, the fact that the club has moved and there is still no decision, seems to me to indicate (either rightly or wrongly) that there are other issues in his head. And the Collingwood statement came as an "if, but, or maybe" from a radio station that seems to report on anything and everything without hitting too much, so lets not hurl abuse at Greeny, well ever or until we have an actual fact to hold onto. Just my opinion !!!
  6. Only when he's breathing !!!
  7. Well, if you don't laugh you'll cry !!!
  8. I just mentioned the same thing in one of the Trade Rumour threads TGP...... And I found it more than a little amusing!!!
  9. I didn't really know where else to put this but reading an article tonight I came across this quote that may be directly aimed at one of our own...... Melbourne was angry at rumours circulating yesterday that Aaron Davey was up for trade and Port Adelaide was a potential destination. "It's absolutely 100 per cent bulldust," Connolly said. http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl...3-19742,00.html I couldn't put this in the locked thread obviously but I mut admit I did find it more than a little amusing !!!
  10. Nothing really new but...... Waiting for Green light I found this quote interesting - Demons football manager Chris Connolly remains confident Green will stay. A leader at Melbourne, Green made a passionate speech about the club's future at last week's best-and-fairest count. "It's a difficult one for Greeny, but we're confident he will stay at Melbourne," Connolly said. To me it seems like a terribly odd thing for any player that is looking at leaving a club to make a speech at the B&F about the future of that club.
  11. War over Robbie Warnock
  12. And I'm sure it will make him feel so much better !!!
  13. Run Trav, Run.....save yourself :D !!!
  14. Oh yes, one of the worst aspects of trade week !!!
  15. They're not all the same Nightmare...... I mean some players come on and find their feet a hell of a lot quicker than others do, and its not necessarily a poor reflection on their talent either. So maybe we shouldn't be autocratically judging what Player X can do, to what Player Y can do.
  16. I agree here..... I have always hated what this time of year does to supporters, which actually has nothing to do with the clubs or the way the system is operated I just hate the large levels of apparent disloyalty and unwelcome crap about the people we cheer for only weeks earlier that gets thrown around endlessly it grates on my nerves. And no-one come back at me with it is a necessary evil, I know, understand, accept and embrace that, but its our ways that make me cringe. And that in reality has nothing to do with the week itself, although despite what is supposedly going on behind closed doors, the whole week seems to make people go crazy. Just my opinion though !!!
  17. On Sydney radio tonight it was stated that the Hawks have pulled out because O'Keefe is just too pricey, but online it is said that O'Keefe liked Clarkson when he met him up here yesterday, and could be willing to take a pay cut to go to Hawthorn. So if someone can make heads or tails of that then congrats!!!
  18. Cash dents Lovett-Prismall swap
  19. Can we? I have said that Green is one of the few players I would prefer to keep and I have said why on numerous occasions and will not go into it again here (because repetition does not make it fact), but I am more than happy to concede for the right price anyone is up and he is no exception, but I still don't think it will happen.
  20. That sums it up for me beautifully...... If we can get it and he wants out then it is a no brainer, but, and it is a huge but, he has to want out cause I still want him there for the kids. The other thing is here is that O'Keefe seems to want too much cash for Hawthorn, so this could all be wishing for nothing anyway. O'Keefe price too rich for Hawks
  21. I get why but are we seriously going to argue now, at this point in time, over whether we are "good" enough to finish last next season? Lets get through all this first and then cross that particular bridge and while I understand the upside of another bottom finish, I honestly don't particularly want to be there again, whether it is likely (which it is) or not. And you shouldn't be wishing for it no matter what good intentions you have. As for Greeny if the No. 16 miraculously comes our way for him then so be it and it would be a great deal for us. But please don't forget that the Swans are a team that is crying out for a hell of a lot more young talent, and if they can get their hands on, after a huge personnel sacrifice, another first round draft pick, I am not convinced they are simply going to let it go for another 28-year old player, which while very good at what he does, doesn't really improve them all that much and doesn't solve their aging list issues. Just my opinion !!!
  22. People keep trying to !!!
  23. Well that is probably true but maybe not all of it from the Carlton Football Club !!! Anyway other than providing tea and cookies I don't really see how the AFL has any right to put its nose into what is ostensibly club business. Do they want Warnock at Carlton for their own Machiavellian purposes? Are they trying to look after Fremantles interests (something which the Dockers are a little suspect on) by making sure Warnock doesn't fall to the PSD? Or is it a little simpler than that, being they really are just tired of getting a week of crap. I don't know, but at the end of the day the clubs will work it out, it is their right and responsibility, and if they don't then the player has other options at his disposal. If this is the process in place then it shouldn't be messed with, because it seemingly will push the AFLPA further towards advocating a free agency system.
  24. Demons push for Fremantle ruckman Robbie Warnock
  25. Its going to be a long hard summer....... Shape up or pay price, warns Melbourne's Dean Bailey
