Pies could've/should've been 50 up at half time also, wasted many opportunities.

Good point about the lack of switch, I noticed many times yesterday day we had 2 players on for the switch and didn’t take and just kicked up the line. This was also evident in the Richmond game, so I’d say it’s a confidence issue from Collingwood (and Richmond’s) pressure. We are a much better side when we switch and take the game on. However coaches should’ve picked up on it early

There’s no doubt other teams can expose Lewis and Vince. He wasn’t the worst today but he picks up many cheap possessions, short handballs and 15m chip kicks. I’m sure he’s providing leadership but game has passed him and still 18 month on his contract. I’d pay him out at seasons end

Hibberd or Vince would’ve been better or even Pedersen, not a first game in backline player in front of 84k

Agree, we crumble when the heat is applied, it’s our biggest issue. Good teams absorb it and turn it back on the opponent. The biggest issue around this is leadership, there is none. Jones never stands up when chips are down, walks around with hands on hips.

Stretch isn’t fast when he spends most of his time running around in circles or into trouble. I admire his work ethic but I wish he’d take the game on to utilise his potential pace, but for some reason he never does. Confidence issue?

After today, Pedersen is done. Has served us well but may as well get games into Weid now. Vince, Petracca, Hannan on a knifes edge.

Disappointing day after the efforts of last season. Goodwin was out coached today and players weren’t really on from the start. Collingwood are a good team with elite mids and well done to them. why Brayshaw wasn’t put in the guts after his current form beggars belief, he’s a natural mid and gets the clearances where we were flogged. i think Gawn and Grundy drew in the end. Smith had a crack and did the best he could i reckon, some great spoils and smothers and good marks towards the end. Think he’s more a flanker though. They’ll stick with him. I’d blood Petty at CHB, drop Vince and have Hibberd and Smith on flanks. Petracca another ordinary game, plods around, stuck in second gear and I’d drop to Casey for a decent stint to see how much he wants to play AFL. When chips were down we lacked leaders again, Jones just doesn’t stand up, lots of cheap posies like Lewis and Vince should retire. Jones was putrid today. Spargo kept us in the game in the second and tackles well, I’d stick with him and give him a run in the middle. Don’t understand the hate for him. Oscar going down didn’t help and Jetta and Hibberd can only do so much. Hogan was well beaten by Dunn, who we should never have offloaded, but he’s only had one bad game. A blip on the radar, now a rest and rethink, I do hope the slagging of opposition supporters and “what they’re saying threads” around here stop, we’d beaten up bottom or struggling sides and we must remember where we came from. I’ve being saying all year he’s in cruise mode, stuck in second gear and Sylvia 2.0. He needs to move out of home and stop feasting on mummy’s pasta and take a hard look at where he wants to be as a footballer. Over weight, poor disposal, slow and now at 50 games and hasn’t torn any game apart. He needs 5 weeks at Casey to see how far away he is from his so called “hall of fame player” he wants to be.
