Time to scrutinise Alan Richardson
Richardson should go for sure, but so does Goodwin, no questions asked. I’m not buying the keep Goodwin but get rid of Richardson at all. May as well chuck in Williams, Jones and Lamb too.

Time to go Goody?
It’s just constant lies and spin. He hasn’t got a clue what to do from here.

Time to go Goody?
this is half the problem, we will win a few, then most will be on the train again and then we will lose a heap. It’s a vicious cycle that I have seen enough of. Each group of wins buys more time for Goodwin, however the same Will and does keep happening. Yep not only playing favourites, but also jobs for the boys. It stinks deep.

Time to go Goody?
Slight technicality doesn't make it any better.....5 of 6, rather than 5 of 5. Same same really in the whole scheme of things.
-
Time to go Goody?
Just a slip of the tongue as the other two are former. Goodwin will stay until next year unfortunately.
-
Time to go Goody?
So we have won 6 of the last 22, of that 6, we won 5 in a row.....think about it.

JvR Re-Signs until 2029
Both had/have both IMO.

JvR Re-Signs until 2029
Reminds me of Chris Dawes in more ways than one.

Time to go Goody?
After listening to Goodwins presser, it feels like he genuinely believes his own spin. At the start of the year he talked up finals as the bare minimum, now we are "building" (re-building) for the next flag. He is hoping for the best and has no idea, he relies on effort to keep us in games. He depends on Petracca/Oliver (who don't even look like they want to be here) to be the competitive beasts and lessen the likelihood for a beating. He seems to think they are the nucleus for the next flag, when IMO he should try a half/game where Rivers, McVee, Langford, Lindsay, Bowey are the frontline mids. The beasts of old will find their mojo out on the flanks, they are done in the midfield. Viney as a defensive forward full time (and leave him there). To think we have had a relatively easy draw, pretty good run re injuries the fact is many have regressed. He is a limited coach and we need a fresh voice. I guess the same people who were excited by yesterdays presser, was excited re finals talk before the season and excited for all the other spin of last few years. 6 wins from last 22, 2 x bottom 4/5 finishes incoming, all with a fair chunk of premiership players on the list. No first round pick this year either.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Going at it from a different angle, reckon the Crows also let us off the hook early by their own bombing into F50 instead of hitting up targets, probably due to the pressure around the ground/half forward. When they lowered their eyes they hit up targets all across the ground. Be interesting to see their DE in first Q as opposed to rest of the match. Reckon the scoreboard flattered us tbh, we hung in there on effort but still see the same issues. Fritsch, Petracca, Oliver, Jefferson, Koltyn.....to name a few. Seems like Melksham is the only Melbourne forward who actually leads in the last 15yrs.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Havent had time to read the thread nor look at last weeks VFL report, however, what has Lever and JVR done to warrant a call up this week?? Genuine question.

Time to go Goody?
There are multiple factors at play here, many relate back to Simon. Goodwin is a limited coach, I don't think hes the sharpest tool in the shed. He doesn't really stray too far from what he knows, the message has gone stale. His selections fuel poor culture issues. Our best players, or media driven A graders, are our worst disposers, Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Lever, Gawn. Max gets a pass due to everything else he does though. Jones, while a club champion in most supporters eyes, wasn't the greatest user of the ball himself and lost near enough to 2/3 of the games he played for Melbourne in his career, seems like a PR choice. List management, players getting monstrous contracts, players getting extensions who play VFL and may never play AFL. We have been screaming for KPF's for years, yet struggled to lure any, it's not like we haven't got the cash (or had). There have been options (before anyone mentions there isn't) There is nothing to kick to. We will win the odd game if we kick straight or get an opponent at their weakest, as we saw earlier in the year. However it is going to be the same same with Goodwin and the club need to decide when to pull the trigger, memberships have plummeted, he needs to go. Luckily we have enough good youngsters to build the next list around, however a new coach and KPF's, plus clean out of the club is needed to move forward in a fresh way.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I'd doubt it. No forward craft, cant mark, plays from behind every time. Happy to call him a bust now. Which leaves us with a major hole
