Bit more of a substantial test this weekend against 3 BOG ordinary sides, where we still managed to play awful football for the most part. Lets see how we/he goes.

I've been overseas for a bit, however could someone please explain what Fritsch did at VFL form wise to warrant selection vs Richmond? Genuine question as was surprised to see his name called out.

Others may be happy and only see the 2 recent wins, however I still think Goodwin should go, obviously we have contractual issues with this now. 3 bog ordinary quarters vs a hapless Richmond doesn't excite me either, its just more spin.

But is he a talented businessman? He has the "job titles", but some of the boards he sits on top of don't have the best reputations either....

What success is that exactly? We are 0-5 and had losses of 39,39,58,59 points. And we visually look like we are playing like [censored]. In those losses we’ve kicked 9,9,8 and 6 goals for a whole game.

That’s half the problem though isn’t it Dazzle, you are taught this from a young age and it’s not earth breaking tactics, however we get it so wrong so much, years of it.

So we are looking at a coach that has wasted his own list & a club with cultural issues, who has won 5 v 7 vs Goodwin and got smashed in a GF. Only Melbourne would make this move! lol

The worst thing that could happen right now is if we win a few and buy Goodwin more time, I've seen enough to know that it will go back to how it always does, we've seen years of the same old mistakes.

It's just more spin, we have been hearing it for years to be honest. What about the review? Thats created 0-5..... less words more action & get rid of Goodwin.

2025 and we are 0-5 We have lost 10 of the last 11 games. Yes, 1 win from 11 games. When is that ever acceptable, with 15-16 premiership players playing recently. The message is lost, the players are speaking. Goodwin needs to go. If true that the players are running the club (is Goodwin too chummy?) Then he still needs to go, a fresh voice and a little fear will put the players back in their spot. Also, tactically and selection wise I don't rate Goodwin at all, some will be happy with a flag but the amount of spin to come out of his mouth has gotten him this far. The players look rudderless and there is no obvious game plan to me. I also don't think Green is right for the job. Cut Goodwin now before we lose our kids (and probably Petracca, Pickett & Oliver) and put Bassett in charge and spend the next 5-6 months looking for our next coach.

Got to laugh re people saying we were in with a chance, didn’t look like that at all. Cats are ordinary and played with us and we are worse than ordinary. Dire times. 6 goals for a whole game of football and 0-4. Heat is on SG.

Great post and as you say, these aren't new problems, they've been ongoing for years. The amount of unbelievable spin to come out of the club has now been called out finally for what it is.
