Wallace Urges Adelaide to Target Lever
If I were Adelaide, I would 100% be going after him. He looked to suffer a bit from nerves at the start of the year playing for a new club, and he didn't have a good Grand Final last year, so from the outside, I get the feeling he might let the situation get to him a little. So yeah, I'd go after him for sure. Great opportunity for him to stand up, and he's been playing very well the last few weeks.

Jake Melksham
I thought he had turned the corner in the second half of last year, but I was a little concerned when his first few weeks weren't much chop this season. But since then he has been fantastic and is turning into a very good pick up.

Andrew Gaff
West Coast reportedly have an offer on the table for 750k x 4 years. Given he is a restricted free agent, we would probably have to go higher than that. That sort of money is starting to get up to the pointy end of players in the competition, and I've never been 100% convinced by Gaff. But there is no doubting he fills a need.

Jayden Hunt
His disposal wasn't great last year, but he was still a very important player. This year he just hasn't been getting enough ball, and not breaking enough lines when has, for whatever reason.

Round 8 Non MFC games
What a beautiful morning to wake up to off the back of a comfortable 70 point win and Essendon getting rolled by the winless Carlton.

Clarry is a BEAST
I can't describe how highly I rate Oliver. We have some very good young players, Petracca, Brayshaw, Hogan etc, but Oliver stands head and shoulders above the lot for me. A majority of the game of footy is played in tight, and I naturally lean towards inside types more than others. Cripps is just about my favourite non Demon for this reason.

The Jesse Incident
There was no camera angle to show where he was hit, and if he did indeed cop one in the throat, as the umpire saw, then his response is perfectly reasonable.

Dom Tyson
I'm not his biggest fan, but anyone who has an issue with his game yesterday, just flat out has it in for him. And those saying his touches were ineffective? Seriously, what game were you watching? He was prolific and his kicking was somewhat surprisingly on point, and kicked an absolute beauty of a goal.

Our Failure to Crush Teams
There are some good points earlier in this thread re our taxing reliance on contested footy. I'm still unconvinced it is sustainable. Two weeks in a row we have had sides well and truly beaten heading into the last quarter, and subconsciously put the cue in the rack.

My 3 word player analysis V StKilda
I tend to agree. There is a player there, and as much as I like Pedo, I think we should persevere with Weid. At least for another month anyway.

My 3 word player analysis V StKilda
Lazy re-hashed assessment of Tyson. "Wasteful" is the last word I would associate with his game today. Other than that, pretty accurate.

Dom Tyson
He was good today. His kicking is flat, penetrating, and actually a little underestimated. The problem is that when he makes a mistake, it isn't just a metre here or there, it's a shank that often costs us going the other way. Luckily there was little of that today.

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 7
6 - Oliver 5 - Jones 4 - Hogan 3 - Brayshaw 2 - Gawn 1 - Hibberd Lewis, Lever, Jetta, OMac, Tyson all very good.

Post Match Discussion - Round 7
It's true though. We miss finals by less than 1% last year, and 2 weeks in a row we have had teams beat and couldn't punish them. Hawthorn were absolutrly ruthless with us a few weeks back. That being said, the first 3 quarters were very good. We had control of the game, applied good consistent pressure, and had an even spread of contributors.

Post Match Discussion - Round 7
We played really well for 3 quarters. Positioned ourselves beautifully to pile on a 60+ point win, but went to sleep in the last quarter. Thats 2 weeks in a row we have clocked off in the last quarter.

Tim Watson anti Melbourne
I noticed this too, but think he is more pro Saints than anti Melbourne

GAME DAY
Beggars can't be choosers at the moment. I knew we were a much better team than these mugs, so happy to secure the win, but still disappointed with the first half and then coughing up percentage in the last 10.

GAME DAY
This is one of the worst games of footy I've ever seen. I'm feeling numb more than anything.

GAME DAY
Very funny, who wired up Mark Neeld's phone to the Melbourne bench? This is the same stale, uninspired, around the boundary line footy we saw under Neeld.

Lever Quits Social Media
Hard to argue with that. Some of the stuff on Facebook makes me really question humanity. Demonland has its share of negative posters, but I would say most of them are playing the ball, not the man. Facebook on the other hand is a cesspit. Hard to imagine Twitter being much different.

Lever Quits Social Media
Direct personal attacks on Twitter are a quantum leap from posters being critical of performances on a forum like Demonland. Supporters have every right to be critical and call it as they see it. As soon as you get personal, you've overstepped the line. And if you are directly messaging athletes on Twitter, then you are messed up in the head.
