  1. I can't take this.. Hold me
  2. You beauty beautiful beaut.
  3. Time to switch to the cricket maybe. God I hate cwood. Scum of the earth including most of their supporters. At least they keep Centrelink in business.
  4. I will break something if pies win another close one.
  5. How the crows are winning defies all.logic. Marks pies...70....crows....52 Tackles..71...50 I50s 62......31 Clearances..44.....27 Come on crow eaters
  6. Fair call. Thanks Gibberish. Although it sounds a little sarcastic to say thanks, followed by your moniker. There is no denying our last six to eight games have been most disappointing but I think other than a brief glimpse of hope mid season the whole year seemed derailed by our first five games . But yeah often after a coach is removed, clubs inexplicably play better and manufacture a few wins. Not us. Our new coach will have a massive challenge on their hands.
  7. The season has come to me enjoying watching other games more. Especially seeing Cwood beaten. Bit I think that's always been a very close alternative.
  8. It is difficult to find that motivation when finals are definitely out of the pic. Even that ten percent random less figure I pulled out of nowhere is the world of difference. Some play for ego. Some like Max play because they are natural leaders. Some play because they are competitive beasts ( we could use a few more of these) and a lot at this stage are already thinking about the end of season holiday, weekend fishing/ golf or the dyi jobs around the house. Judging on today's effort,if say most have already checked out if not six weeks ago. That said I do feel we have fallen a long way down in such a short period of time. 21 a flag \ two years of double chances and while finals were ruled out a little later last year I still think we went out better. There are issues all over now. Our fwd line unravelled four years ago and has only shown the odd glimpse with Fritta and JM turning it on now and then. Our midfield is all over the shop. Rivers looked to be a solution but now isn't. Our touted best MF in the comp has gone the way of our touted best backline in the comp. Although the backline is still probably our best asset despite May and Lever getting older and losing their touch. Ironically Tmac riddled with injuries and older is probably our second best defender with Turner still holding things down. But he's gone a little quiet. We really lack depth. Why do we grab onto players other clubs don't want and then never play them....McAdam...billings... schache etc? Or rather why get them in the first place. What are we doing to replace Max, God forbid he gets injured? But he's getting on in years for sure. Why do we keep having to play Sparrow.... because there isn't anyone else. And he's not alone. In 21 you had to hurt someone at training to get a gig. Sure we have some good young talent but where are the new Oliver's Langdon's Traccs and so on. Yes it was a powerful list but we must move heaven and earth and do whatever it takes to do it again. Maybe we are looking at three to five years but let's at least start. Sacking Goody was a good sign and start. To borrow a line from Breaking bad.......no more half measures.
  9. Actually I think I was a bit hard on Roo. Didnt destroy them but a serviceable game for him. He's played over fifty games so I am disappointed he has not only not improved but definitely gone backwards. Probably not worth much trade wise. Gee I hope Jeffo turns up and gets at least a fifth of the chance Petty has had. The latter finally showing form. Who would have thought? Not me. Let's hope it continues. What's happened to Oliver's disposal the last few years? It's as if he's just happy to get his hands on it but not too worried where he sends it. That sounds rough but if it's not a hospital handball it's often just thrown onto the boot. It's made a big difference to his and our game. He wasn't too bad in terms of pressure acts and getting the pill but he needs to work more on finding a teammate not under pressure or in more space. Thirty odd disposals doesn't matter if they go back to the opposition so often. Apart from Max, where have our reliable markers gone? Where are our equivalents to Sicilly, Gunston et al? Hawks had three players with ten each. We had Max and Jvr with six and Viney our third with five? It's been problematic all season. Finally despite the criticism it's the second last game of a torrid season against a genuine flag contender so one should not be be too disappointed. I.just hope we are ruthless under a new coach and we assemble much more depth...not has beens from other clubs so we can drop players at will if they play poorly. How many times to we see players gifted games because there is nobody to replace them with? Anyway hopefully onwards and upwards And please put up a better fight against those thugs next week.
  10. Classic display of top four contender versus bottom four contender. Ñot expecting too much next year. On Kozzie money I expect more than that . But perhaps he's hardly motivated with some of his teammates. A brave coach to take on this job.Melksham has done his usual turtle trick and gone back in his shell. He's always been inconsistent. Had a purple patch for a little while but but constant form was always his problem. Add on Fritta having an off day and ironically Petts was our best fwd. For 3 weeks in row he's played his best footy. Maybe after two years Goody was right. Our backline pressure with Mcvee, McDonald and May not laying a single tackle isn't good. Bowey ,Salem and Rivers 16 ... Top effort.
  11. Well that's three reasonable good games by Petty. Another shocker from Roo. Despite his last junk time goals. The latter ain't gonna make it.
  12. I fear that if he does change clubs we will see a totally reinvigorated Tracc of old and it will be a bigger case of ruing Jesse Hogan and then some. Hopefully he stays,..fixes his goal kicking...slims down a tad and finds his mojo again. I know it's a cliche but he is a a a he shadow of the 2021 player he was as is his partner in crime CO. How many games those two alone have won by themselves has dropped off substantially. They also seem to have lost their symbiotic sychronicity. Ideally I would love to see Cp drastically fix his goal kicking and reinvent himself as a much needed CHF.
  13. I was dumped on for suggesting Moore was out of line with his knee plant My theory was at a 90 degree angle it doesn't add any elevation to to one's marking. Look at the way Jeremy Howe uses his knees for gaining height..... it's not like Moore's action. Perhaps it was simply muscle memory, but clearly a dangerous act. The bloke was hospitalized and it threw him off his game big time. Not long after Maynard had wiped out his mate Gus. It's nothing compared to Toby Gs kung fu efforts that were outlawed but nonetheless should probably be looked at. It's a fine line but given the culture at cfc, I'm not too inclined to give them all the benefit of the doubt. Just saying.
  14. Probably a decent amount of truth in this. It does help him as a.mid break tackles but perhaps slows him down. It would be a bonus if he was more successful at swinging forward but given his goal kicking it's not.
  15. Well this explains a lot. Thanks heaps. L G. And also are frequent last ditch comebacks
  16. Thanks OA. Great username btw. I think if you widen your parameters past round ten of this year, you will find that there merit in the assumption. I'm not saying it's every game because it's simply not. But past ten weeks ago and a few during its true. Also it started some time ago. Why did you you pick round ten? Does it support your narrative or did you feel that was a big enough sample. Also there are obviously different stats to measure performance. In terms of simply getting controlled possession of the pill..a reasonably significant sine qua non for the thread, then it may pay to revisit your information. Maybe it's me that's off but many a game I am an avid checker of number of disposals by players and Tracc often has quite a few more in the second halves. Now this is clearly not the only test of impacting games so maybe I should have been more specific in my statement. But I haven't checked every single game and there is some generalisation involved. But I'd wager reasonable money on my claim.
  17. Great post. I've met him once and can confirm that he is a genuinely nice bloke and was very willing to accommodate a photo opportunity. I'm sure they must get sick of it but CP to his credit offered not a glimpse of annoyance. You make some good points about his change in skills. Perhaps the whole Darcy Moore knee event ( which was worse than most recall) and having his mate Gus removed from the game in such chaotic fashion has been a big part of it all. But even before these events I still think although to a lesser extent about his ability to switch on straight away, was still a factor. Perhaps it's a fitness issue in reverse. That while others tire, he gains momentum and energy and gets more involved later in the game. Check his half time stats to his final tally and more often than not I believe there is a reasonable differential between the two. I'm not saying his first halves are poor. They are still usually very good but not I believe, his best. The point you make about players breaking his tackles holds water unlike Tracca holding many of his opponents. For a man with his strength one would think they would be close to impossible to get out of . Actually I think they often are and it is more of a case of Trac just being off balance when he actually lays them. I've noticed a lot of players can step around him more lately. He seems to get wrong footed so to speak and is slow in changing direction ( in terms of tackling). I mean once he is committed to a particular tackle direction that's about it. Vis a vis Viney who can read op>ponents better and even if " wrong footed, can change or adapt as needs be in quicker fashion. (I hope that makes sense). He seems to have lost a little speed as well. Don't get me wrong, he still has explosive acceleration off the mark which has always made him such a wonderful mid but he has lost a few feet after that. I definitely still want him to remain at the club as many of these things are only minor and can be ironed out. How much he himself wants to stay is the real question. I hope it's quite a lot. His goal kicking is still a huge concern and if he were remotely accurate, he would make a great CHF but with his conversion rate it defeats the purpose. But for the most part this thread was just an observation I've noticed and wondered if others had as well rather than an open diatribe on one of the best players this club has ever had. That's all folks
  18. Besides, to be fair I've slimmed down quite a bit to my current size....
  19. Body shamer. It's a dad bod. He should be proud to be a dad and play AFL. It's much more than most of us men. Besides those couple of extra pounds come in handy when out jostling opponents. And it generously gives he's teammates somewhere to rest their beers at the Tmac cook outs. It's also harder to jumper punch the tighter guerensey or grab hold of one in a tackle. You need to think outside the box a little more Gw. Sometimes sacrifices must be made for the good of the team. I recall warrick Cappa wore tighter shorts so his teammates would hear his falsetto calls more clearly.
  20. Not sure why but CP often takes a while to impact games. He seems slow at first to get involved. To his credit his second half efforts often change games But some more consistency would be better.
  21. Wellumps pull.piy a free to finish it. we had a crack. Too.many players just slow to get going. Mids smashed at the coalface. Team playing for finals v a cellar dweller. Better than I expected. Confirmation the club did the right thing pulling Goody out. Another year of this will kill us financially and spiritually. Well done MFC.
  22. Fritta gone missing the last 30 mins. Big difference.
  23. KP finally on. These coaches are amateurs
